“We are a visiting family from the US and thought we’d try A&W here for the first time and we’re really glad we did. It was such a lovely experience. The Teen Burger is a staple for us, and I also really liked that the drinks came already chilled without ice, such a nice touch. The young lady at the drive-thru window, wearing a “bear with me” pin (a trainee pin at that!), was such a little ray of sunshine. She was so friendly and kept smiling the whole time even though it was a gloomy morning and there was a long line. She totally boosted our mood.

It was really refreshing how warm she was and yet everything still moved along quickly and we received our order without any delay.

I just wish there was a way to tip by card because she deserved it.“

“Thank you to the Team at Blackfish Pub, my husband and I had a great lunch there yesterday, Our server was charming and helpful in making our choices and when we mentioned we had a ferry to catch and short on time, her response ...no worries I can put a rush on it. We did indeed arrive at the ferry terminal in good time , unfortunately however without my iPhone. I called Blackfish Pub and again a charming individual answered my call, yes they had my phone and instantly, once I mentioned but we were inside the gates , he knew there was no way for us to turn around and pick up the phone. Perhaps not the first time this had happened, but he had the solution immediately, he would call a cab to the Pub , give the driver my phone who would meet me where walk on passengers are dropped off and that is absolutely what happened ! Service beyond expectations on all counts , yet having been up the Sunshine Coast for years , not surprised , there is something so very special about those who call the Sunshine Coast home.“
