“We just had the best burger experience here! The PB and J Burger was unreal. Paired with the Chocolate Milkshake, a side of Fries and Gravy will satisfy all cravings. Service was excellent, and the portions are generous. Not to mention the quality and taste of the food SENSATIONAL!“

“Cute spot with plenty of picnic tables to eat at. The wait for some food is long as the kitchen is a one man show, but it's so worth it. Just pop over to any of the other businesses next door while you wait. Service is super duper friendly and prices are very fair for the quality. This was another big family meal so I got to try lots! Really everything was excellent- the ling cod fish and chips (flaky fish and very nicely seasoned fries), Mega Mushroom Swiss Burger (great house sauce and tender patty), Grilled Cheese (so, so much butter), Root Beer Float (big portion), Strawberry Milkshake and Mozzarella sticks. But my absolute favourite was the PBJ and Bacon burger. The juicy patty topped with the combination of peanut butter, bacon and red pepper jelly is out of this world. As someone who is huge on sweet and savoury, this is very much my kind of burger. An absolute must try on the Sunshine Coast!!“

“**Update. We gave them another try and just ordered a few vegetarian pizzas. They were fantastic, loaded with toppings and mozzarella cheese (no cheddar). I'm glad they fixed the cheese issue, we will definitely order pizzas again. I've increased the rating to 4 stars for the pizza! **This is a difficult review to write. On one hand I want to support the local restaurants in Pender, but on the other hand I want to be honest and suggest improvements. We decided to give the golf club restaurant a try as we've largely forgotten it was even there. Someone published their menu on one of the Facebook groups, and they were promoting delivery, so we thought we'd give them a try on a lazy Saturday afternoon. So we called at 4pm on Saturday to place an order for dinner, but we were told there was no delivery until after 6pm, which was a little late for us. It also seemed kind of odd to promote delivery but not actually be able to deliver until a few hours before closing. Regardless, we wanted to give them a try so we placed the order for pick up instead. When I arrived for pick up, the young lady on cash was very nice and friendly. After waiting an extra fifteen minutes beyond what I was told on the phone, I got the pizza box and bag of food and brought it all home. We ordered a vegetarian pizza, fish and chips, and potato skins. It only took me 10 minutes to get the food home but everything was already cold when I opened the boxes. The pizza looked ok (although it seemed odd that they would use cheddar or marble cheese) but the potato skins were dry as though they had been under a heat lamp for an hour, the two pieces of fish were very small, thin, and oily (one piece was overcooked), and the bag of fries was full of oil and quite disgusting to look at (let alone eat). I'm fine with the price of the pizza for the size and amount of toppings, but the fish & chips for $24 - to get 2 tiny pieces and a small, greasy bag of (what appeared to be deep fried frozen shoestring fries) wasn't acceptable. Nor were the 5 pieces of dried out potato skins for $12. Again, for the price of the skins you definitely could have included at least 6 halves and added a little more cheese. If you want to see potato skins done properly, visit the Lighthouse Pub in Sechelt - they're a little more expensive at $18 but you receive a very large portion of skins completely overflowing with cheese. My wife rated the vegetarian pizza 5 out of 10, mostly due to the generous amount of toppings, but she didn't really care for the flavour due to the mixture of cheddar cheese. So to summarize, my suggestion would be to improve the size of the fish portions (or charge less), use fresh cut fries that aren't trapped in a greasy bag, add a few more potato skins with a little extra cheese so they aren't so dry, and try to improve the overall presentation of the food so it doesn't look like everything was jammed into a box or closed inside of a greasy bag. We gave your restaurant a try as a show of support, but it's highly unlikely we'll ever return to eat there again based upon this experience. We much preferred the Backeddy, Grasshopper, and Lighthouse Pub in Sechelt. The food and presentation was much better and the portions were larger. Thanks anyways :)“
