“The best ramen we’ve ever had so far, totally authentic, incredible quality of ingredients, especially the broth and the noodles. It was so good that we realized we had never had actual authentic ramen before, even coming from Portland, OR, where ramen is really a must to have.“

“Food is good, I ordered the miso one. I think the place deserves a 5 star because of the price too. I think the ramen is good for the ~$15 dollar ramen, compared to some other ramen in Vancouver that is usually around $18.
I do think the miso is a tiny bit heavy tho“

“Ramen Kounotori is a good choice for late late sunny afternoons or even early evenings for the following reasons: the high ceilings, the beautiful decor, the mixture of post modern chic tones of concrete, pastel, wood, and blue. It’s a mixture of a warm and cool, postmodern vibe. The ramen is tasty, up until now the first three choices have been savoured with relish and delight. Service is most charming accompanied by smiles, good wishes & pleasant sounding nihon-rhythmic flourishes. At the end of the week, and later in the evenings, the café is well attended. Ramen here can be well appreciated on a cold fall day, but no less during the rest of the year with any weather.“

“Wow, this soup was seriously amazing. I'm not the ramen type, so for all I know, maybe Danbo is "normal" in the world of ramen. Regardless, I wouldn't hesitate to come back. Also, the atmosphere was quaint. I really enjoyed it.“

“Best ramen in Vancouver. Great noodle, broth and charred chashu.
Significantly better than Danbo, Jinya, Gojiro, Maruhachi, Hokkaido.
Small joint in the mall’s food court. Owner is a one man army. He puts his heart into the food. He is very kind and always smiling. Thanks for offering amazing food.“

“The ramen was great, only complaint would be that they only give you one piece of Cha siu, where I find most places would give at least two.
Had the yuzu ratan ramen, great broth and noodles.
Dietary restrictions: GF soup and GF noodles!“

“Came for the first time on St. Patrick’s Day. I ordered ramen and requested to remove veggies. I tried Yokohama Iekei Ramen & Karaage on my first time here. I ended up eating karaage without dipping the tartar sauce because it was better without any sauce.“

“Very flavourful broths, tender chicken and pork. Chicken Karage was so juicy but not oily. Worth the drive from Surrey.“

“Decent Japanese ramen & bar on Broadway.
Since their Robson location, their interior design atmosphere has always been great, vibrant & modern. Once again, this location's interior finishing is top notch, which makes the food more enjoyable. With loud music & talking, I think it is more suitable for people to hang out, less ideal for a family with kids.
The ramen I got, tangy shirmp cilantro? is alright, and I would rather get one of the originals, which you cant go wrong with.
Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs“

“I’ve walked past this place plenty of times, located near T&T at the 1st and Renfrew complex, and I’m so glad I decided to finally try it. We ordered the Black Ramen with spice and it was freaking amazing. Rivals that of the ramen downtown! I’m genuinely so impressed. The broth is so rich with flavour and I’m a huge fan of the crispy garlic pieces on top! The Hamani Roll was also fantastic. It seemed a tad pricy at first but when it came, it was smothered with scallops and totally worth it. Would definitely order both again.“

“For those new to the joy of mazesoba, I took a video of how to enjoy every last bit of it. Once you have finished eating the mazesoba noodles, you will feel sad that you are unable to lick the bowl, have every last streak of awesome sauce and 'eat the bowl clean' like your Asian mom told you to do growing up. You will think what a waste of the delicious sauce, all those nice bits of minced meat, seaweed, and spring onion. And then they will offer you a few spoonfuls of rice. You add it into the bowl and use it to soak up all the delicious sauce and pick up all the yummy bits. You will add the delicious homemade vinegar that you have been enjoying eating the entire meal. And when you finish and the bowl is clean, you will, for the rest of your life, wonder why other delicious noodle places don't offer this as part of an expected piece of noodle life. ?
Vegetarian options: The most delicious vegetarian mazesoba ever. So worth it.“

“I've had their 5 ramen bowls many times over. They're well made, tasty, easy to prepare and decently priced. Picking up at the Franklin Street location is a breeze, too.“

“Straightforward ramen with clean broth and generous portions of meat and noodle. Not many bells and whistles like some other ramen restaurants but still very satisfying. The place itself isn't fancy and probably hasn't been renovated in years, but it gets the job done if you're just craving for a nice, simple bowl of ramen. Quick and pleasant service. I'd definitely come back!“

“We ordered shoyu Ramen, spicy miso ramen, smoked beef mazemen, and chicken karaage, and everything was beyond our expectations. Food was yum; Restaurant itself was clean with beautiful interior design. I would definitely recommend to try their fry garlic flakes (on table, free), so fresh.“

“Came to this place because it’s hype and I always see a long line during peak hours so decided to give it a try! We came around 4:30 on a Sunday and there was no line, so if you want to avoid the line I recommend coming during non peak hours. The ramen itself was good! It wasn’t the best ramen I’ve had but it was still good. I got the thin noodles and I thought it was unique. I also ordered their signature broth and it was also delicious. There are also a variety of vegan/vegetarian options as well, and their veggie gyoza were good! The prices were also fair but with add ons (egg, seaweed, etc) it comes down to ~$20 for a bowl of ramen.“

“My family and I visited for a late-night dinner on the weekend, and the customer service from start to finish was seamless and outstanding! The staff were genuinely welcoming, and the food was fantastic. We loved the kids' menu, which was priced at about $14 and included a perfectly portioned bowl of ramen, chicken karaage, sliced orange, salad, fries, and a mini vanilla ice cream with candy. Our toddler enjoyed it so much that she ate independently until she was full. My husband and I savored our ramens, and the aburi oshi was incredibly delicious and creamy. The mimosa flight was especially refreshing, with just the right amount of fizz and alcohol—a perfect combination!“

“Great noodle place that offers a wide variety of noodles. The noodle bowls are great, really smooth and delicious and the options they have look incredible. They also have offers along with their meals, so you’ll be able to save a few bucks on a good bowl or noodles or a drink“

“The ramen here is alright here are my notes.
-the noodles were really good , like it's the noodles you would have in japan , other places don't have this kinda noodle around here. The noodles were probably the highlight of the meal.
-chashu was solid, it was flavorful but not tender enough.
-soup was the downside though, it didn't really taste distinct. It felt like water and the flavor , instead of pork broth and the flavor.
-the price for a regular is 17, @ other places it would only be 15 for an even bigger portion that would come with an egg. After eating the meal it just didn't feel satisfying for the cost.
-service is alright , food came really really fast
All in all , I would come again if someone was paying for me.“

“I recently had a delivery from ZUBU and tried their gyu-don beef bowl. Overall, the experience was pretty good. The order arrived right on time, and the rice bowl had a unique and enjoyable flavor. My only gripe was with the portion size of the beef bowl – it was delicious but left me wanting just a bit more. I'm giving it a solid 5/5 rating and would definitely consider ordering from them again to explore more of their menu.“

“Authentic flavors. Great spice on the spicy dishes. The noodles are made to order and the kitchen is small so can be a bit slow. Dishes are large and priced accordingly. If you like spice the 大盘菜 is great with thinly sliced pork belly. Would not recommend thE 韭菜盒子 minimal filling and slightly flaky dough just doesn't taste right to me.“

“These guys deserve way higher ratings, IMO. The chef special noodles are simple, but every ingredient is distinct and fresh. If you’re expecting something super fancy, this isn’t the place. If you just want extreme simplicity well-executed, give this place a shot.“

“Went on a Friday night with my 2 friends.. order 3 different ones (Niku, Shio & Carbonara) and upgrade all bowls to XXL for free. Also, an appetizer, ebi mayo. The place wasn’t that busy, so it was nice. Service was ok… the main dishes were on the salty side.“

“Came in and we were quickly served by the hostest and given our seating options. She seperated tables so we could sit by the window which was so thoughtful of them.
The pricing is very reasonable especially considering the high quality of the food. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Currey which was so flavourful anf filling, I ordered the Tonkotsu Raman which was very rich in flavour and the ingerdiants were so of the freshest I have ever had in ranmen from a resturant.
The soda was a bit off teasting for our liking but I suspect thats due to it coming from the bar fountain which isnt uncomon.
Will recomend to all my friends!“

“Both exterior and interior design looks very Japanese, creating a very similar ramen shop vibe.
(With the default hardness) The thin noodle is not chewy at all like normal ramen you would expect, which is a little disappointed.
The chicken broth is quite rich (like a long stewed chicken broth you make at home with effort).“
