“We stopped at Maruhachi Ramen as it was highly rated and we were not disappointed. Everything was freshly made and the broths and topping of each ramen dish were fantastic. The chili oil on the side was also great and was very spicy. Staff were friendly and the place was very clean.“

“First time here for lunch and it was good. We were fortunate that we got a seat right away. Food came out within 5min and we were in and out in 30min. After we were done there was line up out the door abiut 5-6 ppl. $6 for 6 pieces of pork is worth it. I recommend to add extra noodles for $1 or $2! I was still hungry afterwards. Add the 3 gyozas and pop for $5 was ok too.
$48 plus tip is about right to have food food on Robson.“

“easily the best ramen in vancouver - the gentleman that makes the ramen is so sweet and i can taste the love in the broth. It is genuinely one of the best bowls i’ve ever had. Every one of his broths are sublime. I have tried the tonkatsu, chicken and the shoyu and they are all incredible. His black garlic coconut oil is delicious . it’s perfect. Go here if you want to eat mouth wateringly good ramen.“

“I have been buying Frankling Food Lab's products for quite some time now, their frozen ramen, gyoza and their karaage chicken are simply oishii !“

“We visited during the labour day weekend. Food was pretty good. Some of our plates came a differing times. We both ordered combos -- the seaweed salad is very flavorful! Also the curry too. My dining partner enjoyed the gyoza. And we had the original order of ramen one each small and large.
However the matcha tirmasu is the absolute star of the meal. Dining partner ordered it. Matcha is not overwhelming and neither is the sweet taste of that dish.
Staff are professional and efficient. We would return.“

“Came for the first time on St. Patrick’s Day. I ordered ramen and requested to remove veggies. I tried Yokohama Iekei Ramen & Karaage on my first time here. I ended up eating karaage without dipping the tartar sauce because it was better without any sauce.“

“The broth is perfect! I feel the taste absolutely the same as one I had in Japan! At first the portion seems a bit small compared to Canadian size but it turns out enough for your tummy. The dine-in area is not spacious so my recommendation is avoid the peak hours.“

“Great food and atmosphere. But didn’t appreciate the sneaky practice of offering extra noodles at the end of the dinner and making it look like it was complimentary but NOT! And don’t put the customer in the awkward position of asking first: “is there a charge for it?”. Just be up front! This city already has enough nickel and diming going on.“

“I enjoyed my visit to Fuku Ramen and Udon in the East Vancouver area on First Avenue. A compact resteraunt serving traditional ramen and udon dishes. It was a pleasure to find in the crowd of restaurants located in the area. Bubble tea and combos available as well.“

“We randomly stumbled across this Ramen restaurant as we were walking and decided to give it a try. Its 8:30pm and past dinner time so we were hungry.
The dry noodle dish was very good, add extra noodles for $1. The meat portion was more generous than most other ramen places. The black garlic ramen was very very tasty 😋. Very nice decor and nice servers! They play western music though so a bit surprising.

“This is my absolute favourite ramen restaurant in the city! The miso ramen is my favourite, it’s so flavourful, and the chasu pork is cooked perfectly. They also had no problem removing the black fungus for me. The service is also good and the music is fun too! They even have ice cream on the house to boot! Would definitely recommend this place, so underrated!“

“What an amazing experience! I had the original ramen this time, which was phenomenal, but I'm definitely coming back to try the shoyu chicken next. It has a high-end, stylish atmosphere without the premium price tag. Highly recommended!“

“We’ve been coming to Kintaro since it opened, literally in the last millennium. I think they were one of the first dedicated ramen shops in Vancouver, if not the first.
We have tried every item on the menu but always go back to the Miso Ramen. You can choose between pork belly or pork shoulder, and rich, medium, or light for your broth. You will not be disappointed with any combination.“

“Pretty good ramen in Kerrisdale as they have a few locations in Vancouver.
The standard noodle toppings only include 2 pieces of Cha shu and some green onions. Soft boiled eggs, Nori and everything else are add-on.
Free parking is a few blocks away and it gets quite busy during lunch, so eat early!“

“From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. The food arrived quickly and looked fantastic. After the first bite, it was clear why this place has such a strong reputation. The broth was deeply flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the toppings added great texture and balance. The portion size was generous, and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. Combined with professional service and a comfortable setting, it made for a memorable meal.“

“I woke up this morning craving lettuce wraps. I had no idea about this Japanese restaurant. I ran some errands and then found this place. I can honestly say that the lettuce wrap crunch munch was SO delicious. I’ll be back. Wonderful kind staff to. Thank you.“

“Ordered the pork cutlet curry ramen to go
The takeout container is very nice because there is a second plate seperating the meat from touching the noodles. Just be aware of that so you don't end up pouring your soup onto the second plate haha!
Flavor wise I got the mild spice. The curry was really good and the noodles were a good medium-firm texture! The size of the noodles allows the curry to soak it all in really well!
The pork cutlet on the other hand was a bit too dense but still had a great flavor. It would be best to dip it in the curry sauce to soften it up a bit because on its own it's just too dense/firm. May be due to the thickness of the cut.
The restaurant is really small and if you want to walk any where you might have to wait for one person to cross before you can.
The service was very fast and friendly! And I love how the menu has pictures of the food!“

“The szechuan beef noodle kicked my ass in the best way possible. Spicy, oily, and massive… exactly what I needed! I’m sweaty and my airways are clear as I’m walking off my food coma with a big smile on my face. I will be back!“

“I went there because there were ads outside saying they won best dish of the year. However, the taste was a little disappointing. I couldn't find the umami.
Their service was great; it was fast, and the waitress was so nice. For that reason, I'm giving 4 instead of 3.
It was a big portion, and the price was good.“

“I have to say that the food was amazing and the portions were very filling. I got the Mazesoba, and it was very tasty and well cooked. The place has an amazing atmosphere, and Saul was really friendly and attentive all the time. Great service!“

“I usually get either the combo or the ramen, tried the Pho today for the first time and was suprised by its quality. Have tried Pho at other places on campus but they’re pretty meh or bland, would recommend Beef Pho for people who like noodle soup with deep, flavourful taste, can ask for chilli sauce packets if you want to add a little bit of kick to it - certified by a Viet lol“

“I’ve lived in Japan for many years and I have eaten at many delicious Ramen spots - this place blows them out of the water. The BROTH is incredible (I love the miso broth!) but it’s the thick, chewy noodles that really do it for me 🤤 I will (and do) come back to this place over and over again.“
