“Maruhachi Ra-men has great ramen. There are many options to choose from. The chicken-based ramen is very flavorful.
Despite the amount of reviews, they didn’t seem to have too many customers at the time I went there (1:30 pm)
The service is excellent. Staff provided baskets for coats and bags.
I recommend parking in Safeway to avoid having to find parking on the street.“

“This is some really good ramen. I wanted to give it 4 stars for the lack of variety and toppings but it was just so good you really do not need anything else. Spicy level wasn’t spicy, i got it extra hot and spicy but I’d give it a 6.5-7/10 spice level.“

“Food is really tasty, this place is a hidden gem for sure. Only issue is the portion size is a bit small, but the char siu slices are quite large, and I like that the broth doesn’t leave you thirsty afterwards. The noodles are super thin if you’re into that type.“

“Not a place to have a date. Eat and go.
Looks like el Bucco in Rome.
Excellent food. You maybe need to wait, you need to register in the waiting list, I didn't know so I waited the double of time.
Group of four, ask for the table, we needed to eat at the bar, not very confortable to have a conversation.“

“The food was delicious!! We ordered the Hanban chicken and a bean sprout ramen (i forgot the name). Both were super good for its price, I would totally come back here for a quick meal. The service was also very good, the staff were all very friendly.“

“Came for the first time on St. Patrick’s Day. I ordered ramen and requested to remove veggies. I tried Yokohama Iekei Ramen & Karaage on my first time here. I ended up eating karaage without dipping the tartar sauce because it was better without any sauce.“

“The tonkotsu ramen was amazing with superbly rich and creamy broth with wonderfully bouncy thin noodles. Highly recommend their salty cream matcha latte. My server Taiga was extremely friendly and checked up on which I appreciated a lot. As well as the other servers are very lovely“

“Came in on Thursday evening when the place was pretty busy, and our server was handling everything on her own. Even though she was super busy, she took great care of us and explained everything clearly. The ramen was delicious and the portions were solid. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“Delicious!!! Everything is tasty 😋 😆😁✅❤️
As always 😁 We are very happy with our meal. Ordered extra Chasu, (don’t mind the photo I ate a slice 😂) seaweed and poached egg 😜 we both ordered the creamy Mazeman 👍✅❤️
This is my favourite place for Ramen and for Mazeman ❤️👌 love the food, the atmosphere, the service, the servers ✅👍
I’m very happy with my meal again. 👌 Always reliable, fresh, tasty, I love sipping the hot broth as I eat my noodles.
If you give them your phone number for a free membership, you get a refreshing vanilla ice cream cone at the end.
And also when you order, you can upgrade to extra noodles.
Then as time goes on, there are other added benefits.
Like extra meat 🥩 😁 extra poached egg, etc.
I believe this is for the mazeman noodles 😁👍
Thank you to the chef’s, kitchen staff and servers 👍✅
Great service as usual. Tasty 👍
Yum! 😋 I have enjoyed many meals here. Delicious.
Easy yes 👍
I will keep repeating ✅
I love the ice cream at the end too ❤️😁
I will most definitely be bringing family and friends here.
Every meal has been very satisfying, made me happy.
I enjoy the chill atmosphere, the servers are very nice, friendly, welcoming and on point.
The place is clean, I like the open layout, love that I can see straight into the kitchen through the glass. ✅
Everything on the menu is reasonably priced. There is also a little happy hour menu.
Worth repeating✅😁👍“

“I've had their 5 ramen bowls many times over. They're well made, tasty, easy to prepare and decently priced. Picking up at the Franklin Street location is a breeze, too.“

“So good and so friendly. We came here after another restaurant gave us horrible service and thank goodness we did. The food was amazing all my kids ate everything (ages 4, 9, 10, and 16) they loved it. The rich broth is flavorful and the pork belly hit the spot. They were full but still managed to accommodate all 6 of us.“

“This made it onto my list of go-to ramen places in Vancouver! I ordered the kara miso chashu ramen. The proportions of broth, noodles, and chashu were just right, with none over-representing the others. The soup was mildly spicy, as it’s supposed to be, rich, and absolutely delicious. The portion size was perfect for a moderately hungry person, paired with a 16 oz Sapporo. I would definitely recommend it and would happily go here again on a cold evening!“

“We love love love Ramen Danbo - it’s arguably the best ramen chain across Vancouver and consistently delivers delicious high quality ramen at reasonable prices and portion sizes. We’ve eaten at all their locations around Vancouver and love each of them. The dining space is quite small and cramped so huge kudos to the staff for doing an excellent job keeping lines moving and ensuring that food comes out efficiently and quickly without compromising on quality. The vegan curry ramen is extremely flavourful and filling, and the Kerrisdale dine-special, the egg fried rice, is to die for! It’s so flavourful, smokey, and has tons of wok hay! Highly recommend the egg fried rice. We are regulars here and will continue to be so! 💕✨“

“Kinton Ramen is, without a doubt, my favorite ramen place. The first time I tried it, I fell in love. I’ve been there many times, and the quality is always consistently amazing.
The restaurant is small, with a modern and minimalist decor, but it feels very cozy and welcoming. The service is excellent, the staff is always attentive and kind.
Most importantly, the ramen is absolutely outstanding. You can truly taste the high quality ingredients in every bite. The flavors are rich, authentic, and incredibly delicious. On top of that, the portions are very generous.
I also love that they don’t just serve ramen, they offer desserts, sake, and chicken options as well, which makes the experience even better.
Definitely my favorite spot. I always come back!

“I find that the food here is very consistent between branches. Nice addition to the ever growing UBC community. I always get the mentaiko because I find that the regular mazesoba is so tasteless even with the vinegar. I like that you can choose a bigger portion of noodles but I feel like the portion in my bowl is as much as my friend who had the regular portion. Delicious as usual and always wish they put more mentaiko as the mentaiko to noodle amount is not enough!“

“2026: The pork belly cha shu is excellent, tasty and tender, but makes the pork shoulder cha shu seem relatively bland. Creamy chicken broth is delicious. Noodles are okay; I prefer a thicker, chewier variety. Fast friendly service with several water refills.
2020: The soft boiled egg is perfect, melt-in-your-mouth and tasty with a half runny yolk. Broth good. Wall-to-wall people.“

“I dine here at least 3 times a week as I’m close to here everyday. Friendly, super fast service and always there to answer questions about food/allergens. One of the best poke/ramen places in downtown Vancouver“

“Came with a vegan friend and we tried the veggie ramen, veggie gyoza and veggie katsu set. Everything was delicious and fresh. I think they made all the components in house including make the salad dressing and pickles. They also served free ice cream for dessert. Will definitely be back to try non veg options.
FYI they have stool seating which can be uncomfortable if you have back issues.“

“Me and my wife went for lunch yesterday and had a wonderful eating experience. I had the beef slice curry and my wife had the beef tendon, we also shared several additional toppings including the fried prawns and pork cutlet.
The food was extremely good, my own curry had just the right amount of spice and a unique sweetness from the sliced marinated beef, while still retaining the richness of a solid Japanese style curry.
My wife’s was equally enjoyed with the super tender tendon being a welcome change. Likewise the pork cutlet was solid though a bit small, and the prawns were also strong.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was also nice, though we went for lunch so it was not as busy and I can imagine a small location like oretachi could be quite hard to find a seat during peak hours. The service was also strong.
The only negative was the size of the pork cutlet, as it was rather small.
Me and my wife usually get our japanese curry from Saku on Robson street, however we found Oretachi to be far better in taste and in value. We will be replacing Saku with Oretachi permanently as our go to for Japanese curry.“

“I woke up this morning craving lettuce wraps. I had no idea about this Japanese restaurant. I ran some errands and then found this place. I can honestly say that the lettuce wrap crunch munch was SO delicious. I’ll be back. Wonderful kind staff to. Thank you.“

“Probably the best Dan Dan Noodles I’ve eaten in Vancouver! The beef roll was also excellent, crispy and full of flavour. Only reason this isn’t a 5-Star review is due to the strange charges. 5 cents for take-out containers, 5 cents to use a Mastercard? Not the craziest thing, just odd. Seems unnecessary. Otherwise, I will happily be going back to try everything else their menu offers.“

“It took me many years to give this place a try. Call it beef noodle fatigue, so many places were opening up around the same time. But this one out lived them all.
Beef noodles were great. Fresh made noodles were very chewy. Soup was just right. Same goes for the wontons.
Service was good. People were sweet.
Atmosphere. Not the most comfy seating. They opted for bench seats for the vibes. But the decor was nice. The lighting was bright warm and too in your face.“

“Their ramen is delicious! Usually we don’t eat ramen because their soup base is always very salty. But we gave it a try and loved the soup which is perfect and the ramen is crunchy. The charsiu is also cooked well. I love their Hokkaido ice cream the best. Wednesday is free for members. That makes it even worth it to eat at this ramen restaurant.“

“We were visiting from Victoria and looked for Raman restaurants by our hotel. Absolutely delicious and only remembered to take a picture at the end (which was empty bowls!). I got the Spicy Miso (highly recommend, level 1 was perfect for someone who enjoys the flavor but not too spicy, would even try level 2) and Shoyu for my daughter which she loved. Tried a piece of Gyoza from a friend and would definitely order next time as it was really good.“
