Caffè La Tana Reviews
If you are like me and growing up in a household with “traditional, slow cooked, 12 hours on the stove” kinda’ dishes were just another regular Tuesday night dinner, you know those flavours and dishes are almost impossible to find elsewhere.
La Tana has managed to create the same flavours, dishes and love that I remember so dearly sharing with my family around the table.
Thank you La Tana
Very good italian sandwich on the lunch program. Very friendly service.

Caffè La Tana offers a warm and pleasant space with a super cute and cozy decor, featuring shelves of high quality items to shop. The vast majority of staff are warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and excellent. One guest noted Christopher was awesome, attentive, and accommodating for a vegan, suggesting a delicious pasta dish. The food is well-presented and tastes great; the pasta absolutely blew one diner away. Specific favorites include the arancini balls, the foccaccia with whipped ricotta and truffles, the olive oil cake, pork belly, a pork cheek ragu pasta, and a salt spring mussel pasta with saffron. The 3 course lunch menu called Pranzo in Italian is a highlight. However, some reviews mention the food took a significant amount of time to arrive, dishes were not quite worth the hype, and some items were barely warm or scorching hot. There were errors with the dates (supposedly stuffed with cheese but empty) and the olive oil cake (missing rhubarb). Despite this, the overall experience is amazing for many, with great service and a vibe that makes guests feel like a local. It is a go-to place for morning, lunch, happy hour, and dinner, and also offers flights of various spirits for a learning experience.
