“Wangs Shanghai Cuisine never disappoints! The food is consistently good and offers fantastic value for the price.
One of the best things about dining here is how fast the service is—once you put your order in, it doesn’t take long at all before the food is right on your table. Because it's one of our absolute go-to spots for xlb (soup dumplings), beef rolls, and dandan noodles, we've learned that weekends usually bring lineups for both lunch and dinner, so we try to go in the middle of the week to avoid the wait.

“The food was amazing and according to my mother who is Shanghainese, very authentic. The server was helpful pointing out one dish was quite spicy and checked if we wanted chilies to be reduced. We asked how they got some hard to find foods like kofu and it turns out the chef made these himself. Parking is a bit challenging with construction outside and restaurant was very empty which was a shame because the food is well worth the effort. Will definitely be back regularly.“

“I got their pan fried buns and the scallion noodles. Everything was very flavourful and fresh. The pan fried buns stood out the most as they had a crispy bottom and juicy interior. The service was also great! Will be coming back just to get their pan-fried buns.“

“The staff work efficiently. Tables are cleared and wiped down quickly. During peak hours when the restaurant is packed, responses can be a little slow, yet staff are polite overall. Dishes come out at a steady pace. Don’t expect fancy fine‑dining service; it is practical and down‑to‑earth for a family‑style eatery.

We came for their famous soup dumplings. They are juicy and flavourful, perfect with vinegar dip. Pork chop with rice cake is another highlight — crispy fried pork paired with soft chewy rice cake, authentic Shanghainese taste. The menu offers a wide selection of traditional local dishes.“

“We ordered the Xiao long Bao, pan fried pork buns and stir fried rice cakes with pork and preserved vegetable. The XLB was a little thicker than I prefer but the broth was flavourful and the pork was well seasoned. I did find it odd they served black vinegar without ginger as is standard for this dish. The stir fried rice cakes was delicious as usual. Nice chewy rice cakes with tender pork was great even the day after.“

“We went here after lunch time and there were still lots of people. The place is small but we didn't wait a long time for a table. The dumpling king arrived first and it was really good. Next one is the Scallion Oil Dry Noodles with Pork Chop. We really like the noodles. The pork chop is ok, lots of breading though. My favorite is the last one, Red Braised Pork Belly. The meat is so tender and delicous!“

“My usual go to place a couple stalls down, Shanghai dim sum house, is closed on Wednesday, but this place is another great place open with same price and still excellent quality. Crispy exterior and full of soup, the pan fried pork buns are excellent. It does have a slightly different flavour than the other restaurant, which is neither good nor bad; I like both! Next time I will try to XLB as I only had appetite for one dish as a snack on the go today.“

“I enjoyed an excellent meal here at Colour See See. The dishes here included a combo with xiao long bao and a wonton soup. The xiao long bao was pork and very excellent. The wonton soup was not my cup of tea but will be if you enjoy that dish. Lastly, my friend and I shared an order of pork filled dumplings. I’ve been told that you can tell if it’s fresh based on how hot it is and how the juice was. As I burned the top of my lips, I can attest that it was very fresh haha. Definitely worth checking out this place.“

“The soup dumplings at Stall #13 are a must-try. They were even bigger than the ones I’ve had at restaurants and were packed with delicious, flavorful broth. They were absolutely delicious!

I visited around lunchtime on a Sunday, so it was very busy. Finding a table was quite difficult, but the food was definitely worth the wait.“
