“This is an interesting place with both Mexican and Italian food. The reg latte / cappuccino were okay but the horchata latte was fantastic!Like the tiramisu but the basic Mexican breakfast was okay. So overall, depends on what you order! Service at counter is very good but expectation is you clear your table after you are done.I would go back to try more dishes for sure.“
“What a great little place with vibrant decor and friendly staff. The Cafe de olla was delish. We also ordered the huevos divorciado and the pizole soup. I found the soup a bit of a small portion but both dishes were very tasty. I bought some blackberry tamales to go and had them later that day. They were ???“
“Had a great time visiting this little gem. Had a horchata, carnitas burrito, traditional pupusas, and nachos which were all very good! Lots of cheese on the nachos and in the burrito, great hot sauce too! Great rice & beans with the burrito “
“Not many options in the area, so we thought we'd give this a try and so glad we did. If you want really good authentic Mexican food, you need to try it too. We all tried their namesake the Machete and made it half and half. We were a little disappointed with chicken half, but all the rest were soooo good. We started with nachos, which is one of the best I've ever had. FYI, they don't serve alcohol.“
“There are so many items on this menu that I think are outstanding. I love the new addition of vegan wings and my go to is always the house salad with a couple of tacos. My qualm is that I’ve dined here for years and on multiple occasions the kitchen staff mixes up the cheese with non vegan. The staff doesn’t seem to be remorseful and while they are quick to fire up another order they don’t really seem to be sympathetic. I’m not a make a scene type of person but with young kids who are also vegan it’s tough to get them to wait for another order to hit the table. Still I’d dine here again and just hope that when ordering you communicate very clearly that you’re vegan.Dietary restrictions: The restaurant is vegan friendly but you have make super sure that your server understands that. We’ve had the wrong cheese used for our order multiple times.Kid-friendliness: The menu is pretty kid friendly, our children enjoy dining here.“
“Loved it. Would go again. Everything was super yummy and the service was very friendly. Didn’t realize it was Mexican food place from the front and the name until we went in. But we love Mexican. So it was a nice surprise. But they also have a classic “Canadian” breakfast my hubby had and was super satisfied with.“
“We had Dos Amigos come to our home for an event last Saturday. From my initial conversations with Dolten, I had a feeling we had a great fit and I was right. His team was on time, friendly, well organized and the food was plenty and delicious! Im looking forward to hiring these guys again, i highly recommend them for any event you have planned. They really made our event fabulous.“
“I came today that they took away Trustit and I reconciled with Miss Claudia, oh I also came with the well-educated Miss Lorena, she told me to have manners, and well I ordered all kinds of enchiladas, Clau ordered tacos de asada, and the chikibeibi ordered chimichanga , everything at 100, adequate.“
“Taco was really tasty :) I can’t remember what was the thing with pineapples and fried fish, (baja california or something?) it was great. There was a long waiting line but still worthy. Next time, I’ll order in advance and grab it when the food is ready. The tacos are delicious and cheap. It's popular with locals, so there's a wait, so I recommend ordering in advance and picking it up :) Baja California? I don't remember the name exactly, but the taco with pineapple and fried fish was delicious!“
“We indulged in a variety of dishes at Miso Taco, including the Kimchi Nacho Fries with Chicken Karaage, Tuna Tataco, and Brilla Dilla with Ramen. The portions were generous and satisfying, offering great value for the price. We ended up taking some leftovers home as we couldn't finish it all in one sitting. The fusion of Japanese and Mexican flavors was executed perfectly. Travis, our server, was attentive and friendly. The restaurant tends to get quite busy, especially during happy hour, so I'd recommend making a reservation. We will definitely be returning for more!“
“An actual hidden gem ?Such good food I forgot to take a picture diving in. Great prices too! My partner got the veggie quesadilla which was huge and only $12. I got two tacos which were on the smaller side so I’d recommend 3-4 at least if you’re hungry. The hot sauces were also very tasty.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options“
“Coming from Washington state to Canada without knowing where to eat we decided to stop here and the tortas were amazing and delicious ? we will be back for sure ,food was hot and fresh #milanestorta if you haven't tried the milanesa or Cubana your missing out!“
“Just had a quick bite, the food was very good. The service was excellent, tables are cleaned immediately after guests are done eating. Small, but clean and goodSunk Cost Wait Scale; How long would I be willing to wait to eat here? <25mins“
“The carnitas from Carnitas El Rolys is absolutely incredible! Their lunch combo comes with a large serving of rich and juicy meat. Victor and his team always deliver exceptional service. If you are craving authentic Mexican carnitas, this is the place to order from!“
“My wife and I go here regularly for our date nights, for many years. Although there are many other great places in the area, here there's a unique combination of:* Food - great flavours, good variety, high quality, affordable* Drinks - beautiful, delicious cocktails* Atmosphere - cozy, authentic, warmOne of our favourite restaurants in the city“
“Such an amazing spot for cocktails and authentic Mexican food! Everyone was kind, helpful, and welcoming and the food was fantastic. Cocktails are extensive and really well done! The bar is also really nice to sit at for cocktails and some smaller share plates! Enchiladas were delicious, the red sauce is so good. The seafood in the aguachile was fresh and tasty and plated so beautifully. Everything was great overall, you can’t go wrong here!“
“Omg these people are lovely. I came in my lunch time and they were busy but still managed to speak to every customer with a nice smile on their face ❤️ And food was amazing, I never found good vegetarian tacos anywhere and it was delicious. 100% recommended , they totally love what they do and appreciate their customers ❤️❤️ Deserve more love and business ?“
“This restaurant had an amazing ambience, and the meal was delicious. The servers were impeccable, and very attentive.I’m doing this review because when people have challenging experiences, it doesn’t have to be a one star. So much of my experience was really good.I got very ill eating the pulled pork last night. It’s the only taco from the group of people that I was with that. I was the only one that ate. I hadn’t eaten anything else yesterday, so I am certain that it was that specifically.I am only sharing this to bring awareness in case others may potentially get ill. If there is contamination, however, this does not the rest of the experience and the quality of food or establishment. I would still highly recommend this place the pulled pork tasted delicious it just got me sick.“
“The best Mexican food restaurant in all of Vancouver. You can choose between a bowl, taco, small burrito, or a larger burrito, with a wide variety of ingredients to choose from. The staff is very friendly and will always attend to you warmly.“
“My go to spot for Mexican food. If you are looking for an authentic experience, this is the place. The tacos are so flavourful yet simple. The Margartias are fresh. Staff are friendly and kind. I've been coming to this place quite frequently and it never dissapoints! Vamos!“
“Hands down one of the best burritos in Vancouver. Friendly and sociable staff, it was my first time and they patiently explained me about different burritos on the menu and suggested me one which turned out to be delicious, I ordered guacamole & chips which were a perfect combo! I would go back and it’s easily my favourite burrito place in the city now ??“
“Fast & friendly serviceGluten free and vegan optionsDeeeelicious food!!! Great hot sauce as well.Dietary restrictions: Awesome gluten free and vegan options! I’m sure dairy free could be easily done here as well. Staff was confident in their recommendations.“
“A great little hole in the wall serving up delicious tacos, burritos and more alongside lots of funky beverages. Definitely a little out of sight but worth the short walk down Blood Alley. Our server Kirsten was lots of fun and the place has a cool vibe and good tunes!“
“I want to give a huge THANKS to this business that were part of our Christmas this year.Since I moved from Mexico it gets pretty nostalgic during this season, our tradition was making tamales with the whole family, and after enjoying them at Christmas eve dinner.Yesterday your tasty tamales took me back home, in our first time hosting christmas dinner after a tough start in Vancouver finally I feel like home.My guest gave really good comments, a table full of Mexican and a Yemeni enjoy their amazing dinner. Vegan options are bomb!Customer service was incredible nothing I ever experience in Vancouver. Thank you thank you!! We’ll cross paths soon.Feliz navidad!“
“Was recommended this place by some friends. Finally came to check it out with my sisters, and it was simply mouth-watering deliciousness! The quesabirria and shrimp tostada highly recommended! The carnitas tacos were unreal! If you love good Mexican tacos, this is the place to check out on Cambie!“
“Happy to find a burrito place by my work, the burritos are a great size for the price and yummy, very nice owner.Update: Photo of my usual burritoChicken burrito on sundried tomato wrap with beans, rice, #3 hot sauce, banana peppers, jalapenos, cheese, cabbage, onion, lettuce and cilantro. It's so tasty“
“Came in with my husband on a rainy Monday night. The vibe is lovely and warm and cozy, the server was friendly and good at her job, the drinks and food were great. The ahi tuna tostada was a particular standout. Loved it. Thanks for an excellent date night!Vegetarian options: We had the cauliflower, which I believe is vegan, and it was excellent.“
“We went there for a friend’s birthday dinner. We were a group of 12 people but the server was really efficient at hosting us. No complaints about his services as he was very careful in taking orders individually and making sure everyone got their order. It is a very friendly atmosphere and we asked them to bring the cake that we kept with them until we finished our dinner. The team approached singing the birthday song creating a very nice surprise for the birthday girl. Definitely a great place to go with friends and spend a nice evening on a weekend.“
“Before covid I'd go to their truck down by Canada Place regularly but haven't been downtown much since. So when I googled for a new Mexican place I'd noticed at Fraser and 46th Ave recently Arturos also came up on Fraser St tucked away and hidden down in the industrial area, I'm told by the awesome worker there that it's their commissary kitchen for the truck, so it's not really a restaurant but I did notice a communal table with 6 chairs but not sure if that's available to eat there. Had the mucho macho soup, Mexican taco with carnitas and the Mrs. had a chicken burrito. It was all excellent and now the only problem is having this place so close to home with such affordable delicious food we may be in danger of ordering too often ?♂️ good problem to have!!“
“This is a great go-to spot for casual business meals and date nights. They offer finger food that is packed with fresh ingredients and great flavor for pretty decent prices considering the quality. As you can see from photos of their tacos, their tacos are loaded with meat which makes them more filling than tacos from other similar spots. They have a good selection of alcohol too. Certainly worth a visit if you are interested in having good Mexican food in Vancouver!“
“I love this place!! The food is delicious, the prices are great and the service is amazing.I recently took my team there to celebrate one of their birthdays and the staff came over with a complimentary (DELICIOUS) dessert - a Mexican version of key lime pie. Can't say enough great things about it and love to support our local businesses.“
“Sam was amazing. We sat at the bar and appreciated her banter, service, and phenomenal custom drinks. She interacted with us as though we were her long time friends. Beautiful gal inside and out.Vegetarian options: Veg and gluten free friendly“
“The staff is friendly and attentive, always willing to make recommendations and ensure you have an exceptional experience. The prices are reasonable and the portion is generous. In short, Chancho Tortilleria is a wonderful place to enjoy good Mexican food in a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!“
“Grew up going down to Tijuana and having street tacos every few years and this is the only place I've found in my adult life that comes close to the authenticity of those tacos!Horchata was incredible as well and everyone was so friendly. Just 11/10 all around.“
“This Mexican restaurant with Korean flavors is located right in front of Rogers Arena at Skytrain Chinatown Station. I happened to stop by on my way home and often stop by because I fell in love with the clean taste. The burrito bowl is generous and the cheese ball is delicious even when cold. It's much tastier than the cheese ball at a chicken restaurant (the downside is that it's a bit expensive). Unlike Chipotle, the rice inside the burrito bowl is kimchi fried rice style, which is perfect for Korean tastes. The friendly cashier always welcomes you warmly.“
“Jo prepares food the way a man of integrity does for his family. His entire team prepares food as an act of service putting their mind, body, and soul, into every nourishing bite. I believe he is of the highest quality and am great full that he served my lady such delicious food. Remember kids.....Garlic breath is fine as long as both people are Authentic, transparent, and consistent.“
“Maizal RMF Restaurant offers a refreshing take on traditional Mexican cuisine, blending authenticity with a modern twist. The ambiance is welcoming, with a vibrant yet cozy interior that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. A standout dish is their signature mole, which strikes a perfect balance between rich flavors and subtle spices. The tacos al pastor are another must-try, featuring succulently marinated meat paired with fresh, handmade tortillas. Service is attentive and knowledgeable, adding a personal touch to the meal. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality of ingredients and the culinary skill evident in each dish make it a worthwhile indulgence. Maizal RMF is a delightful spot for those seeking to explore the depth of Mexican cuisine in a comfortable and stylish setting.“
“First time going to the commercial dr location. I ordered a burrito and had mixed feelings about it. While the filling and flavor were good, there was some old rice in it. Some of the grains were so old that it was hard like brittle bones. I think they scraped the last bit of dried rice for my burrito.“
“The Spicy Beef Fajita Burrito.I like that you get to choose your flavour of tortilla....tomato, wheat or whiteOptions for the customer. Always a good idea.It was good. I actually have nothing negative to say. Good food, good service and a cute little place. Oh....one piece of advice...if you're not too keen on salty I'd go without the fried onions. Why?....well....the spicy beef was lovely....good amount of salt and spice, but with the fried onions, which were also quite salty and spicy it was just a double whamy of those tastes. That's entirely personal preference.Next time I'll try their tacos.....oooohhh.....you know what would be cool? If they served Margaritas. Tacos & Margaritas go as well together as a Lamb Ragu Pappardelle with a Bourdeaux......:)“
“Came here to celebrate my birthday and I absolutely loved the food! They were definitely understaffed which kind of dampened the night…as well they knew it was my birthday but didn’t even add any nice touches to the dessert that was brought out. Never experienced that at a restaurant.Anyhow, still great food and drinks. Can’t wait to come back again.“
“We ordered tacos and chips from Puerto Mexico for a retail event that hosted approx 40 people. Everyone LOVED the food. We had Tacos (veg and meat) and chips with Guac and Salsa. Such a great execution, experience and the food! Thank you so much. Will definitely be back.“
