Sal y Limon Reviews
Wildly inconsistent and usually bad unfortunately. Decided to try again and should have known better. Had to wait 25 minutes for our takeout which is fine, places get busy, but the torta seemed like it was microwaved to reheat after sitting and was very very slimy. Ordered sole to go salsa and guac which were not put in the bag so $5 down the drain. Also tipped $5 and got crap food, missing stuff and waited forever so that felt like a waste too tbh.

amazing food. I'm from san Diego so I wasn't expecting 100% authentic Mexican food and I was NOT disappointed. the best way to describe my " bean and cheese burrito " is maybe "van-mex" 😀 not the same as here, but definitely just as good!!!(if not even better in some ways) I had barbacoa the second time I visited and it was just right. there's a very good reason the line was out the door. visit with an open mind and I can assure you that you wont be disappointed.

Sal y Limon is a convenient spot for a quick bite, offering good value considering its location and price. The restaurant is clean and pleasant, with delicious food options. The menu features a variety of dishes, including quesadillas, burritos, and burrito bowls, which cater to different tastes and heat levels. Customers frequently enjoy the food, with some upgrading their meals to include Lengua or Piccadillo, both of which are described as really delicious. Recent reviews highlight the shrimp tacos and lamb quesadillas as tasty choices, and the restaurant allows dogs on the patio, making it a welcoming spot for pet owners.
Sal y Limon provides several containers of mildly spicy to spicy sauces, allowing diners to add extra flavor if desired. Many enjoy the additional hot sauce, which adds a bold kick to their meals. The restaurant also offers an abundance of corn tortillas, with some customers choosing to freeze leftovers or fry their own tortilla chips for special occasions. The seating is comfortable and easy to find, and while service is mostly self-serve, the counter staff is friendly and quick. The place has a clean environment, and the guacamole is always fresh. Overall, Sal y Limon is a great choice for families and anyone looking for a tasty, no-fuss meal that reminds some of authentic Mexican taquerias outside tourist areas. It’s a good value, always hot and fresh, and one of the favorite lunch spots for many.
