“We had bought the coconut cake along with other assorted pastries from Whole Foods a dessert. The coconut cake was a hit! Packed with flavour and coconut taste. The cake was fresh and had a tasty filling like pastry cream. The pastries included crème brule (one was watery and the other was just the right consistency), pumpkin tart, lemon tart, chocolate tart and pecan tart. To ensure their freshness, place an order before hand. Having a good assortment of pastries is bound to satisfy everyone’s taste. They also offer a good variety of ready to eat takeout food.“

“My first experience with this place was 2 bites and into the garbage. Flavourless sludge. I read all the latest reviews which said pretty much the same thing as experienced tonight. Staff yakking on the phone or talking to each other while they leave you waiting. The toppings on my tacos were a joke. They just threw it together without a clue. “This is an interesting place with both Mexican and Italian food.The reg latte / cappuccino were okay but the horchata latte was fantastic!Like the tiramisu but the basic Mexican breakfast was okay. So overall, depends on what you order! Service at counter is very good but expectation is you clear your table after you are done.I would go back to try more dishes for sure.“

“The food today, was absolutely wonderful, healthy Mexican was greatly delivered and to her telling me she is a dietition, oh no kidding healthy, food was delicious in everyway, fresh, flavourful, colorful and made some great recommendation, the Pork Pastor, and two Chicken tacos, absolutely wonderful, delicious, it will be one of the Vancouver foodstops. “I don't know where to begin! The food was scrumptious! Bonus, I arrived at 5:20pm and it was HAPPY HOUR. I decided to get the 3 tacos for $10 deal x2. They have 7 different fillings and I had 6. Every single one had a different flavour profile and I absolutely would have each one again. In fact, I plan to go back and have exactly the same meal because I loved it so much! All of my choices vegetarian. My friend had the breakfast burrito baked with goat cheese and I had a bite and it was packed with flavour too. Oh, and my friend tried the London Fog Beer and said it was very tasty. The service was good and the atmosphere was cozy. The only thing I would change is the chairs are not very comfortable. “I was so happy to find a place for pupusas in Vancouver having not eaten them in eight months This small cafe has delicious pupusas with a few flavours. I got the chicharrón y queso (pork and cheese) but next time I want to try the loroco. The tamarindo drink was very refreshing too. The ration of three is really filling especially with the curtido. Nice staff as well. They are bigger than pupusas I’ve had before so I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll come back next time I’m craving pupusas!“

“This is a very clean but not very spacious place (5 tables total). You order at the counter, pay right away, and you can pour yourself some water while waiting. The wait is not long.Food for me was very good, tender, and very tasty. When you're finished, there is a bin for dirty dishes. I will definetely come back!“

“An actual hidden gem ?Such good food I forgot to take a picture diving in. Great prices too! My partner got the veggie quesadilla which was huge and only $12. “As a hospitality instructor, I took my students for a dinner to show how a food outlet operates. Manager Jose was very helpful, he shared his experience with the students, which was highly motivating. We enjoyed the reasonably priced food. Jose has given a tour of the entire restaurant and kitchen to all the students, which was very helpful and I do appreciate a lot for his kind hospitality and care for the future of this industry. “La Taqueria has the BEST burrito I had ever had in my life - the crispy chicken burrito (with guac) is amazing and packs so much flavour. My wife had the Enchiladas Verde and she also loved it. “This has been me and my husband's favorite place for about 9 years now. All vegetarian options can be made vegan and the most flavorful, fulfilling and satisfying flavors in a burrito you will ever get. I'm vegetarian leaning towards vegan but my husband is an absolute carnivore and he was the one who showed me this place and now it's our spot. Over the years they have also made the atmosphere more cozy and warm and it's just a cool vibe overall. It's honestly one of the best kept secrets and I really wanna keep it that way. I always get the Blaire Stanley made vegan and my husband gets the Johnny O (make sure to ask for a side of their sauces, the chili oil and Verde sauce are the best IMO ?). I also love that they give you options of tortilla, beans, Lettuce and sauces. i cant say enough good things, I LOVE LOVE LOVE BUDGIES and it will always be my favorite burrito place over all the places. “Before covid I'd go to their truck down by Canada Place regularly but haven't been downtown much since. So when I googled for a new Mexican place I'd noticed at Fraser and 46th Ave recently Arturos also came up on Fraser St tucked away and hidden down in the industrial area, I'm told by the awesome worker there that it's their commissary kitchen for the truck, so it's not really a restaurant but I did notice a communal table with 6 chairs but not sure if that's available to eat there. Had the mucho macho soup, Mexican taco with carnitas and the Mrs. had a chicken burrito. It was all excellent and now the only problem is having this place so close to home with such affordable delicious food we may be in danger of ordering too often ?‍♂️ good problem to have!!“

The posted close time was 11:00 pm but they decided to close early as they weren’t busy. She was so nice and gave us the dinner menu. We had chicken mango chimichangas. I actually have nothing negative to say. Good food, good service and a cute little place. Oh....one piece of advice...if you're not too keen on salty I'd go without the fried onions. Why?....well....the spicy beef was lovely....good amount of salt and spice, but with the fried onions, which were also quite salty and spicy it was just a double whamy of those tastes.That's entirely personal preference.Next time I'll try their tacos.....oooohhh.....you know what would be cool?
