“My first experience with this place was 2 bites and into the garbage. Flavourless sludge. I read all the latest reviews which said pretty much the same thing as experienced tonight. Staff yakking on the phone or talking to each other while they leave you waiting. The toppings on my tacos were a joke. They just threw it together without a clue. Maybe a cultural thing as they were not Latino and had no pride. Zero meat. This is the first time I have bothered to post a bad review about anything. I have been traveling Mexico for over 45 years and built 4 vacation rentals in a place called Yelapa down the coast from PV and this place is a blight on the landscape. I dug“

“We had bought the coconut cake along with other assorted pastries from Whole Foods a dessert. The coconut cake was a hit! Packed with flavour and coconut taste. The cake was fresh and had a tasty filling like pastry cream. The pastries included crème brule (one was watery and the other was just the right consistency), pumpkin tart, lemon tart, chocolate tart and pecan tart. To ensure their freshness, place an order before hand. Having a good assortment of pastries is bound to satisfy everyone’s taste. They also offer a good variety of ready to eat takeout food.“

“All three of us were happy with our meals and this restaurant is actually quiet enough to have a decent conversation. Service was competent and friendly without being familiar. Prices are typical of a French bistro; my bill (before tip) was $28 and change for a glass of house wine and a lovely Nicoise salad made with fresh tuna.“

“There was a small queue when I got there, although I was seated quickly and breakfast ordered. Had the Canuck breakfast. It was terrific. Best breakfast of my trip and I can see why Brunch has a queue (line) of visitors eager to eat here. Great friendly service too 👍🏼“

“Visit for the first time for breakfast. The menu is so nice, a good choice of mexican platters. I had the chilaquiles and torta de cochinita. The was very good 8.5/10

“I love looking for hidden gems. It's pieces of the un ordinary that blends in with the shiny and commercial stores they don't need frills or gimmicks , you just happen upon them then they become a special getaway that become part of your hangouts and meet ups , to unload your day or week on a friend and feel comfortable. Nice staff great selection. I recommend The Pawn Shop YVR .“

“We had such an amazing experience at Zapoteca! Spencer (Spider-Man) 🕷️provided absolutely incredible service. He was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming that we literally came back again just because of his service!

Everything we tried was so delicious, 😍especially the corn and the tacos. I’m not an expert when it comes to Mexican dish names, but everything we had was absolutely scrumptious! 😊 The flavors were amazing, and everything was served with such care.

Everyone there was so friendly and hospitable, which made the whole experience even better. The desserts were also incredible. One of them was the chocolate dessert, and the other one was the caramel dessert, and both were absolutely scrumptious!

Great food, amazing atmosphere, and outstanding service. Spencer (Spider-Man) definitely made our visits memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back again! 😊“

“Great addition to the Granville strip. We enjoyed our time here. Recommend the Molcajete Mexicano and the Del Trompo a tu Trompa. Desserts including the churro were all fabulous. Portions were pretty decent and we were full and still had a big take away box. The server was such a sweetheart and really attentive. Will definitely be back and bring friends once covid is over.“

“Best carnitas in Vancouver, visiting from Edmonton as a Mexican born and raised I can guarantee you this are real and true Mexican carnitas. Portions are huge; ordered 1kg or lean carnitas and pork skin, for the 4 of us,came with refried beans and rice, 20x tortillas and 3x types of hot sauce and walked away with at least 4x tacos left, rice and beans. Karla took care of us kindly and helpful.“

“Took the kids for a quick lunch a couple weeks back and we were in and out in under 40 minutes, which is exactly what you need with little ones in tow. The al pastor tacos were fantastic, and the staff brought out a small plate of plain quesadilla for my picky five year old without even blinking. There's a cozy little patio out front that's perfect for letting the kids wiggle around while you finish your coffee. Easy parking on the street out front too, which made the whole stop stress free.“
