“I visited to decorate the last day of my trip, and it was a choice I had no regrets about. At the bar, I met the nationality-same-person, had fun and interesting conversations with the same guest. The quality of the cocktails was very good, and some gave me a new perspective. Both the classic and signature cocktails were delicious. If you come back to Vancouver one day, you will be the first to visit.“
“Love R&B for the atmosphere and awesome beer, have been coming to this place for ages. This is just a warning - THE CITY IS RUTHLESS ON PARKING TICKETS HERE! There is only 1hr parking on the entire block, so don't stay for more than a pizza and a pint! Seems unfortunate for the business.“
“Came in for a quick bite and drink as I haven't tried this location yet, and it was phenomenal! I got a pizza and it was great quality, the dough specifically. My server Adam, recommended a fantastic Hazy IPA to pair. Will be back for sure!“
“We absolutely adore our local brewery here in Kits! We knew that when planning my husband's milestone bday that we wanted to host it at Brewing August for numerous reasons. One, it has a great vibe and they brew delicious beer. Two, it is local to us, and we are all about supporting our local businesses. Three, the owners and staff are wonderful, and extremely accommodating. They even let us rename some of the beers for the evening! We were able to bring in our own food, and as a surprise, a Mariachi band. They have a great variety of beers on tap, mead, and even have cans of wine that are really good. For those that don't want any alcohol, they carry artisanal sodas and non alcoholic beer.“
“Kind service, really good food. We took our kids, even with them the bartender/server was great.I’d recommend ally he dishes we tried crispy noodles, pad Thai, and really great salad rolls. Really surprised that a place that does different cuisines does them so well. We will be back.Vegetarian options: Lots of tofu based dishes.Kid-friendliness: High chairs, lots of good dishes for kids.“
“Decided to come here because another very popular ramen place next door had a 45-minute wait while Kokoro had empty tables, and after eating the food, let me tell you, it is an injustice that this place isn't getting a similar amount of business.I had the Mentaiko Cream Mazesoba, and it was amazing; a porky, fishy, garlicy, peppery taste explosion in a creamy sauce that coats your whole mouth with bold flavors, and thick noodles, cut to the perfect length to fill your mouth, and so chewy you get addicted to eating them. It really captures the taste of authentic Japanese food, and reminded me of my travels in Japan. For the price point, you can get any of the 3 bowl sizes AND, with mazesoba, you get a side of rice to mix into the remaining sauce in the bottom of your bowl, which comes out to quite a bit of food. I was definitely satisfied.I came here as an alternative to another restaurant, but it deserves so much better. Now, whenever I'm in the neighborhood, I'm choosing this place first, for sure.HIGHLY recommend.“
“Craft beer and dim sum! Yes, they do go together well. Their dim sum is pretty good. My only mistake was ordering too many fried staff. I would recommend to balance it out and include some more steamed or boiled so that you don’t get stuffed too much.I understand this is not a brewery but wish a bit more variety of beers.“
“We just had my son's 12th birthday party here. Trevor was extremely responsive with helping us set up the plans and the staff on the day were great. Really welcoming for the kids who had a blast. Looking forward to returning for a date night sometime without the kids and my husband is going to look into doing a work/team building event in the future. Highly recommend.“
“We had a delicious meal. Everyone enjoyed the selection of food and drink. Those mozzarella sticks are perfect for sharing. The cauliflower bites are to die for. Our server Jacqueline was fabulous! We are all or have been in hospitality and she really has a 5 star style!“
“Best place for a beer had my 68 year old birthday and got so drunk I broke my walker on my way out. Big Betty my neighbour had her first kiss with a women on the patio. Thanks Justyn and Jack for the birthday wishes and for my new walker L.O.L“
“Update on a previous review I wrote. Had initially left uncertain what to make of the experience at sing sing. However after speaking with management details were provided that left me feeling secured knowing actions were taken above and beyond for my best interest as well as others. Definitely a great example of the free house beliefs that great hospitality is felt. It was even mentioned that many of their staff assist in charitable organizations following their philanthropic nature. Very happy to say I was able to see a demonstration of this. Definitely worth going for these reasons alone.“
“Our decision to celebrate our fifth-year anniversary at Red Truck Beer Truckstop Diner instead of the pricier alternative was a delightful twist of fate. The contrast between a potential $200 dinner at The Keg and our $80 meal here, including leftovers to savor, left us thoroughly satisfied and pleased with our choice.Accessibility is a non-negotiable factor for us as individuals with disabilities, and Red Truck Beer Truckstop Diner went above and beyond to meet our needs. Being visually impaired, we greatly appreciated the staff's assistance. They read the menu aloud, made thoughtful dish recommendations, took our orders at the table, and provided prompt service throughout our meal. Their attentive care extended to checking in on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. To top it off, Justin, one of the staff members, exemplified their commitment by waiting with us curbside until our ride arrived – a small yet meaningful gesture. The food itself was a revelation. Every dish was expertly cooked and brimming with flavor. In an era where dining out often breaks the bank, it was a breath of fresh air to discover an establishment that not only offered generous portions but also justified their prices with quality. For those who appreciate live music, Red Truck Beer Truckstop Diner offers a special treat with live performances every Friday and Saturday evening, enhancing the overall experience. In sum, Red Truck Beer Truckstop Diner exceeded our expectations. It proved that exceptional accessibility, affordability, delectable cuisine, and a touch of live music can all coexist under one roof. We wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem for an unforgettable dining experience that won't break the bank.Wheelchair accessibility: there is a ramp that leads directly up to the side door, very very accessible“
“We went for the food, not for the bar; however, the bar and cocktails are famous. Their signature salad was super refreshing with a delicious dressing. The waffle sweet potatoes were absolutely crunchy and tasty. The sliders’ meat was so juicy, and the bun was good“
“quiet yummy lunch on a late saturady afternoon....relaxing Vietnamese style. We went there for a late saturday lunch (almost 3pm) and there were still a few customers. Tables very spaciously arranged (probably still from the COVID times) so customers can appreciate the traditional cultural decor while we enjoy a delicious meal.We shared between the two of us a beef pho, a papaya salad and spring rolls. The broth was so geniune and the salad so fresh. This tasty meal was completed with two drip vietnamese coffees. What more to ask for to spend a relaxing quiet saturday afternoon“
“Cannot recommend this place enough! We went for a random lunch here today as we were passing. Our burgers were amazing, the best we've found in the city for sure and reasonable prices. The guys working there were both so lovely and really made our visit even more awesome. We will definitely be back!“
“Hot damn; these are the best burgers in town. The bacon cheeseburger has the perfect ratio of meat to cheese, the bacon was cooked perfectly, and the burger sauce is well balanced and liberally spread on every bite of the toasted brioche bun. The fried chicken burger was also fantastic but I imagine it's even better eaten fresh instead of delivered.“
“I've been there twice, nice staff. They have "noche latina" on Saturdays. If you want to dance until 4:00 AM I recommend you to go there, it's located in Gas Town, only a few blocks from Waterfront station. Corona beer it's $9.75 CAD. I haven't try food there, only went past 10:00PM.“
“What truly sets District Bar Restaurant apart, though, is its exceptional service. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. They are more than happy to offer recommendations, answer any questions you may have, and ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of delightful. While the prices at District Bar Restaurant may be on the higher side, the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the level of service make it well worth it. It's a place where you can indulge in a memorable dining experience and create lasting memories. I highly recommend giving District Bar Restaurant a try for a special occasion or whenever you want to treat yourself to a fantastic meal in an elegant setting.“
“I love this place, in fact it's my favorite restaurant. I love the view, the treatment, the food, everything. I recommend it 100%, my favorite food is the Caesar salad with grilled chicken and for drinks don't hesitate to order an aperol sprintz or a margarita ?“
“Great place to get craft beer. Their bar is very large, good size food menu, can be nosey at times but its a large place and people are enjoying their time there. The washrooms are located downstairs in the basement so you can walk off the food you ate. Its located in the heart of False Creek in the village next to Urban fare. Parking can be tricky if you don't know the area but there are good amount there.“
“We were looking for something local to the area and found The Magnet based in its high reviews. There were no more available reservations so we went when they opened at 4pm and were able to get an open table. There was a Whitecaps game later that evening and the restaurant filled up fast. Got the Magnet Charcuterie Board and a sausage roll along with beers and a cider. Loved the sausage roll: it’s made to order and was very large. Not your usual deli sausage roll. The server was excellent: patient, knew the food, gave suggestions and did not hurry us. Atmosphere was comfortable and the food great. Prices were very good.“
