“Stopped by here for a couple of beers and some snacks with a friend on a Tuesday evening. The selection of local taps is impressive and the staff really knows their stuff when you ask for a recommendation. It has a very relaxed, neighborhood vibe that makes it easy to lose track of time. Everything we ordered came out fairly quickly and tasted fresh. I’d definitely swing by again for a low-key night out.“

“We stopped there for a quick lunch ... we had the nachos that were the Sunday special and the generous portion was excellent ... The ambience on the outdoor patio is unbeatable as the entire patio is lined with flowers ... I'm not sure if Roger is the owner or manager but he was excellent !!! It was an enjoyable experience and we highly recommend The Loacal as a go to place in Victoria ...“

“My parents and brother arrived to Canada from the U.S for a trip through Glacier National Park among a few other places and we stumbled upon La Belle De Patate on a rainy day for a hike. Little did I know this would be one of the best places for a hot dog with sauerkraut. We went on a trip in 2012 July and this place and its business owner were the best. We even met him at a Safeway later the same week and exchanged glances of approval. Would return again.“
