“We were up visiting and needed to kill a little time before check-in, so we thought we would grab a bite at the pub downstairs. The food was delicious but the service was even better. Our waitress, Kate (sp?), provided exceptional service. She was affable, attentive, and very accommodating. One member of our party has significant dietary restrictions, but Kate and the kitchen staff went above and beyond to make sure that she could was able to get her food as well.“

“My parents and brother arrived to Canada from the U.S for a trip through Glacier National Park among a few other places and we stumbled upon La Belle De Patate on a rainy day for a hike. Little did I know this would be one of the best places for a hot dog with sauerkraut. We went on a trip in 2012 July and this place and its business owner were the best. We even met him at a Safeway later the same week and exchanged glances of approval. Would return again.“

The second night I made an order online but accidentally pushed the Westshore location...(I'm in Saanich) when I was pointed out my mistake the young man up front went to talk to his manager Jenn! She had my order ready so fast! No questions asked! It was very busy in there for a Wednesday night! You guys are awesome. Thankyou again! We will be back to the hotel Accent Inn and Bin 4!“

“I had the fish and chip and my wife had the fish tacos. The fish and chips were excellent but the fish in the taco dish did not seem fresh (so I subtracted one star). We sat outside by the sidewalk. Great atmosphere, attentive and nice wait staff.“

“First off, I feel silly for not popping by here sooner. I don’t know where to start!

In my first few seconds of being here I felt as though I was…at home. That’s the best way I can describe it. Everyone here just makes you feel like you’re someone they’ve known for a long time. Just genuinely happy to see you walk in. Even the people dining in or hanging out all seem friendly and happy to be there.

The food though?
Bro.
The burger I had, without question, ruined burgers I could get anywhere else. The beef is what I would call “elevated”. The mouth feel and flavour is perfect. It wasn’t dry, it wasn’t overdone, it didn’t feel or taste like some cheap patty. Everything felt balanced too. There was the right amount of sauce that didn’t overpower the flavour, but complimented everything nicely.This is a genuine burger that, personally, I don’t feel like I paid enough for!

Lastly, service.
As I said before, I felt like I was at home.
Everyone there makes you feel like you came to the right place. They’re knowledgeable in what they’re serving, they clearly have an attention to detail and quality, and you can see the overall care in the final product.

I’ve definitely found my new lunch spot and can assure anyone trying Bold for the first time, you won’t be disappointed!“

More of a manager problem as these two did a great job moving us along and getting our food out. Burger could have been cooked a bit longer but still good nonetheless. I loved the Nutella milkshake, definitely hit the spot and the fries that I stole from my wife and kids were very good too. Open later than most places in the area which is a huge bonus.
