“Haven't even finished eating my food and I'm posting this review. Hands down, the best! If you're unhappy with the other chain greek restaurants (namely the ones found in malls) this is a no brainer. EAT HERE!”

you know this food is good when if you buy too much and put it in the fridge for the next day its still awesome.

the place here is clean but just loud cause of all of the echo. plus i think itd be cool if they made it look a bit less exactly like the pizza place next door and add some nice booths and stuff. seriously the kitchen noises and echo are loud.

To our surprise they have a three course early bird special which my husband enjoyed. He had the soup , the meat balls and cream brûlée. I had the beat salad followed by mushroom risotto. All of the dishes were delicious! We highly recommend Cafe Brio!”

It was a small place to sit and eat, but there were many foreign customers ordering takeout.
I ate nigirisushi and mackerel, and the spicy pork was very delicious!!

Parking: There was a pick-up parking lot right in front of the store, but it wasn't that big.”

“Amazing Japanese restaurant - I highly recommend to visit it to try true modern cuisine of Japan.
I’m just a month back from Japan and this is truly authentic and delicious modern Japanese food, with pickled vegs and overall well-balanced teishoku/set with great attention to details.
The takoyaki was also delicious- crisp outside and full inside.
The service was very attentive too.
Overall the restaurant is on par with good restaurants of Kyoto - I’ll back next time in Victoria.”

“Me and my boyfriend went here for brunch and we were surprised to see it somewhat empty. We were seated right away and the service was amazing even though it was handled all by one very hardworking lady who took our drink orders AND made them to absolute perfection. Me and my Boyfriend have such different taste in foods and we rarely find a place that caters to both of ours preferences. The portions are big and fresh. The prices are normal but could honestly go for so much more because it is an amazing place for a brunch and our new fave date spot, Thank you Joie French cafe!”

“An industrial neighbourhood close to downtown Victoria offers a unique place for beverages and simple meals. Sandwiches are truly excellent. Closed Mondays, Wheelies is open 11 am to 5 pm, except on Fridays when closing time is 9 pm. Saturday and Sunday the restaurant offers a brunch menu not available on other days. Lots of interesting decorations and a small clothing shop with shirts, hats and other items. Outside seating is available. We had breakfast at the Empress Hotel that day. Lunch at Wheelies was better.”

i love the combos and the diversity of the menu. i am very fussy about what i like to eat so it means alot to me the staff make my sub just as i say. your staff is polite and helpful. always cheery. even if a customer is being extra fussy and maybe even a little rude, like the last time i came to your location. well your staff holds a mellow atmosphere, helps the 'fussy', and moves on to the next one waiting with perfect stride. the location is nice and clean. the staff are well equipped with gloves and masks. The area where my sub is being made is clean. The utensils being used are clean. Friendly atmosphere whilst i wait for them to make me the food i ordered. i am always happy to add a tip. i always leave with a smile on my face. The sub, cookies, & my drink are a yummy, healthy lunch or dinner. Thank you Subway. I'd might starve without you! Okay kidding! Listen though, for real you are absolutely an awesome way to eat yummy n healthy without a mad amount of money or the need to do dishes! This Victoria girl loves you! Keep up the good food! ”

“This is a good place to sit and chat with friends, order your double D's. That's a Canadian way of a coffee, double, double. Just need to say is a large double, double. That's a good cup of with 2 cream, and 2 sugar. They have amazing steep tea, and amazing donuts, and muffins. So grab a friend and go to Timmy's grab a pick of beverages, muffins, donuts, and other amazing food and good prices.”

“One of my favorite locations and that's why pop in here sometimes when I'm out in the westshore. Staff is lovely and if you have to wait a few extra minutes after ordering, it's worth it. Atmosphere is nice and pretty peaceful when I look out to the highway while enjoying my lunch. :)”

Yesterday, one of his co-workers mis-heard me in the drive through (and tbh wasn’t very kind about it and was certain I ordered wrong… I can hear you even in my car lol). I was charged for food I didn’t order and the total was $$$. After I tapped my card, I realized the order was wrong. Josh did the MOST for me. The register machine wouldn’t refund me and Josh was willing to try everything before alternative options (like a gift card). Josh + the co-worker with a beard… legends! Your costumer service skills are top-notch and deserve some recognition.”

The building is situated in a very ugly place.
But when u get in to Mc Donald’s, it’s looks really clean and good. Also they have a good security person going around the building always.

“My first time here after hearing wonderful comments about Esquimalt Bake Shop having the best donuts in Victoria. This is so true! They are THE BEST! Not a heavy donut like other places. Very flavourful. You can taste the flavors. Worth the trek!”

“Went to the wharf in Victoria British Columbia for lunch. We were admiring the waterfront and stumbled upon the Red fish Blue fish restaurant on the dock.

Right away we noticed all the outdoor seating and a line of both locals and travelers. The line was well organized and a menu was available for helping make decisions on ordering before you got to the ordering window.

The line moved quickly and the counter staff were cheerful and helped us with any questions we had even making suggestions as to what was most popular.

The prices were in line with other local eateries, but the portions and freshness of the entrees and side were spectacular.

We got the chowder, and two Cod filets with some slaw and fries. The fish batter was perfectly done and was crispy through the duration of the meal.

They have a selection of condiments and silverware on the side counter. I recommend the malted vinegar as the tartar sauce was quite salty. The coleslaw was excellent and the fries were perfect.

I highly recommend this place for a quick bite and enjoyable view of the waterfront.

“Bustling coffee spot on Herald. Loved the vibe there. Americano was very good. Also had the egger breakfast sandwich with sausage which was excellent. Loved that there is plenty of inside seating along with seating out back of the cafe and a couple of tables outside the front as well. Get there before 930am or you'll be lined up outside the front door...the locals clearly know this place well!!!”

During my time on the island, I had the opportunity to visit Philips Brewing when their tasting room was first opened. Recently, I tried Philips Tilt 20% more from BC liquor stores here in Vancouver. Despite the many breweries in the Vancouver area, Philips remains at the top of my list.”

“From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, the professional and attentive staff take care of every detail. Restaurant is large - it has great ambience, the layout provides a personal and intimate feeling despite there being many tables. The food is superb, we plan on returning to make our way through the great menu. It is the best place we have eaten at in Canada for food, service and ambience. We highly recommend the seafood tower as a way to taste through some of the menu. The grilled octopus rivalled what we have eaten in Italy. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. The wine list is extensive and expertly curated.”

“NOT great for someone who has Celiac as very limited GF options (no GF burger buns) - they are clear that they cannot guarantee cross contamination, etc. HOWEVER, we did take a chance and ordered the Bacun Crafty Mac N Cheese dish with GF pasta - it was delicious! And so was the London Fog! The staff are friendly and helpful. And the atmosphere was relaxing. Nice to have tasty Vegan food in Victoria!

Explaining the homemade take home Enchiladas and other amazing looking Mexican food. (Which ones he preferred) I lost my bank card couple days ago and only had cash was a dollar short for the bill and get said no problem... Let me take the Enchiladas and the Tamale anyway. I felt bad cause I wanted to leave a tip.. I will be returning tomorrow to give the well deserved tip and the dollar I was short. “My favorite sushi place in Victoria. The tropical roll (for only 11.5$) is the best sushi I’ve had. I always get that and the dynamite roll combo and it is relatively cheap compared to many sushi places and it is easily the best tasting. They are very friendly and on time. Thank you sushi mago.”

“We went there for lunch 2 days in a row because we loved it so much. Items sell out fast so if you're *really* interested to eat here, I suggest you arrive within an 1-2 hours of opening.

The fish was fresh and prepared really well, I recommend the assorted sashimi don. I will miss Uchida very much now that I'm back on the mainland ?”

“As a person who comes from a city with baked goods at every corner…. These pastries have topped any I have had probably…ever? Sour cherry danish was incredible!!! Soooo flaky and crispy. Creme brûlée tart also amazing flavour, the tart casing of it was so flavour and great texture as well usually they are flavorless at other places!”
