“Wow!! This was my first time here and so so impressed. Small but mighty! The food was delicious and the service fantastic too. Had four teenagers and even they seemed happy. We all loved the food and menu recommendations from the owner. Thank you for a lovely evening out. The food isn't super quick to the table, but hey, this is fresh cooked and it's not simple white spot food. So relax and enjoy the experience. Pretend you are in Thailand.“

I was able to cozy up my scooter right next to my table and sip and savour their delicious Lavender Latte while watching the florist from “Flowers on Top” select gorgeous peonies from their spring flower selection across the street. “Tasmin was our server When we arrived, it was very busy, Tasmin seated us quickly in the "VIP" section which made my kids very excited. She was an absolute wonderful server, she was personable, funny and very knowledgable and helpful with the menu. She made our visit one of our favorite memories from our vacation. I would highly recommend this restaurant to families, it is a great atmosphere. Also, they offer a gluten free menu if you have dietary restrictions. “Sam’s london fogs have been an absolute staple in my daily life for the past couple of years working nearby Taste Cafe! No other cafe can even compare for me now because it is the world’s best london fog. There are also so many delicious food options. Some of my favourites are the veggie sandwich, peanut butter jenny bar, and the roasted pepper soup. Every day I feel lucky and excited that I get to go to this cafe!“

“Went out to have coffee with my parents on a Sunday afternoon (March 8, 2026), we had a long conversation and accidentally stayed past closing as we lost track of the time. The staff member was super nice, they didn't say anything and they began the closing ritual of cleaning and shutting down equipment, we finally noticed and figured out they were closed, we apologized for staying past, and they were absolutely lovely about it, so huge kudos for nice people behind the counter.

Everyone's drinks and treats were very good too, I had an Orange Pekoe tea, I have come to expect tea to be an afterthought in cafes but it was exceptional here, the teabag was a disposable manually loaded deal and the tea was of an excellent quality so major kudos there as well.

My father's coffee was well made and he enjoyed it greatly, and my mother's hot chocolate was splendid.

The atmosphere was very nice, I will definitely visit again!

“My family and I decided to try out stickleback Oceanfront Cider and Tap house after a day trip to sooke potholes and I must say we were not disappointed, service was outstanding, our server Sage was super helpful and patient with our two kids while they ordered there food. First time there for a special day, we sat at the bar and watched the food being prepared. And oh how incredible that food was! They had a whole pig so much of it was pork based. The carrots, so special, incredible. We had a incredible soup with pig feet and So many more dishes that we sadly gave up!! So here we are eating the last course we brought back cold a day later and it is still so incredibly delicious. The flavors are fun and new while being nostalgic somehow? Im not a foodie idk! Aside from the food, the people working were awesome! Felt welcomed from the moment we opened the door to the moment we rolled out. The curated Playlist only added to the experience of the night and to each incredible bite.

We will absolutely be back for our next anniversary, too bad it is a year away. Eek!“
