“Wow!! This was my first time here and so so impressed. Small but mighty! The food was delicious and the service fantastic too. Had four teenagers and even they seemed happy. We all loved the food and menu recommendations from the owner. Thank you for a lovely evening out. The food isn't super quick to the table, but hey, this is fresh cooked and it's not simple white spot food. So relax and enjoy the experience. Pretend you are in Thailand.“

“Oak Bay Baan Thai is my dad’s favourite restaurant so we come here every Sunday. The food is always delicious and the portions are large. At lunch, don’t forget to ask for the complimentary soup and a $2 spring roll. Lei and Koki is often our server, and both of them are always welcoming, charismatic and knowledgeable of Thai food and culture.“

“This precious hole-in-the-wall neighbourhood restaurant, with a very loyal following, is up a few steps from the street but worth the effort if you can manage it. They offer a broad omnivore menu with many vegan options. My friend group of three mainly rotate among the red, green, and yellow vegetable curries, with vegetable spring rolls and coconut rice and green tea as add-ons. Just ask if you're unsure about which dishes are vegan-friendly. Staff are very friendly, accommodating, and attentive to questions. After a few visits, they know and greet you like old friends. This Esquimalt restaurant is our fave for a casual Friday night when we can't face cooking at home.“

“I've ordered about 10 times (delivery via Skip The Dishes) in the past year and every time food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Very generous portions including items with meat, fresh tasting vegetables, and the deep fried items also very good and not greasy.“
