“We visited again from Sask and did not disappoint! Amazing! Well worth the wait in line! I had the tuna on salad! And my husband had the halibut fish and chips with a side of the chowder. The chowder was his favourite. Still taking about it. The staff were also fantastic. Friendly and very efficient! For the amount of people served and the small space we were amazed at how spotless the kitchen was. Highly recommend a visit here!!“

“From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, the professional and attentive staff take care of every detail. Restaurant is large - it has great ambience, the layout provides a personal and intimate feeling despite there being many tables. The food is superb, we plan on returning to make our way through the great menu. It is the best place we have eaten at in Canada for food, service and ambience. We highly recommend the seafood tower as a way to taste through some of the menu. The grilled octopus rivalled what we have eaten in Italy. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. The wine list is extensive and expertly curated.“

“We order the must try whole fried fish and Hawaiian burger. Burger bun down bun was burn abit, other than that it was not bad. Would have been delicious if it was not burn. The whole fried fish (small) was unbelievably good—honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The flavors were rich and perfectly layered, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. A dish I’d recommend everyone. 😊“

“Oldie but goodie place that offers simple western food and chinese food. We went here for Chinese food and it didn't fail. We're asian and we're happy that they have the needed condiments on the table. I asked for the chili and she happily provided. We went at 11:45am and all tables were occupied for lunch. Servings were big at a lesser price. Worth the walk from Tillicum Centre.

“Celebrated my husband's birthday. It is a quaint restaurant with homey feeling. our waitress was attentive although she was busy with multiple tables. We met Bob who has been working at restaurant for 47 years since it opened. we would dine here again.“

They had smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, hand cut fruit salad (some of the honeydew was a little soft), yogurt, apple juice/orange juice/coffee, packaged oatmeal, fresh fruit, salami, ham, small danish assortment, some bread, cereal. $30.00/27.00 if staying in the hotel. Not bad but you get this included at some hotels. An omelette station would be nice.“

“The Keg, having been a fixture for decades, is reliably consistent. This location, on Fort Street, is our favourite on the island, overlooking as it does Victoria's inner harbour which is abuzz with water traffic of all descriptions including sleek yachts, water taxis and sea planes. Very pretty and entertaining view if you request a table by a window. Views are best from the upstairs level - although that incurs a trek downstairs to the bathrooms. Service is prompt and friendly. Do mention if you want to dawdle a bit over your meal otherwise there is a tendency for food to arrive overly quickly. Drinks are good, and you can still get the basics. I, for one, am so over cocktails with a long list of ingredients. A well executed Old Fashioned is nothing to sneeze at. The wine list has some interesting choices - and some good options by the glass. Of course the meat is always cooked exactly to order. We prefer the simple baked potato to the double-baked which is too puréed for our taste. The cooked vegetables are al-dente and pleasingly fresh. We are usually too well fed to consider dessert, but on this occasion we over-indulged. The cheesecake and crème brûlée were both delicious - but a single dessert generously feeds two. Given the price of beef these days, I consider that we got good value for the money. Overall a delightful evening out, followed by a stroll around the Victoria harbour waterfront.“

I will definitely be saying this with certainty: Ever single person at a restaurant has an even higher bar to stand next to now that I know hospitality isn’t actually dead. “Erito Sushi is hands down the best stop to grab a quick snack or even dine in. The food is always fresh and the value you get for the price is fabulous. The team members are so lovely and efficient. Sometimes we even stop by multiple times a week because it is just so good!! Thank you to the staff team you always make our visits worth it :)“
