“This was a repeat eat for us. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here in 2022. This is an easy 5 star recommendation.
Nicky, our server was sensational. Not to take away from here but every person in the restaurant that we passed coming in and leaving the restaurant wished us well.
The views from the deck are some of the best in the city. The location is by the harbor right off Wharf street. Hard to miss seeing right on the corner.
The food selection is amazing. See the menu on their excellent website. They spare no expense online.
The bar area is picturesque. Sorry I failed to take a picture. It is worth exploring on your own. The restaurant has an old fashion yet high end English tavern feel with rich woods and leathers. The dining room feels like many experiences as you walk between sections moving to the patio. The patio looks out into the harbor marina. The view is active with water taxis, water planes, boats and ferries come and go all day. In the evening you see the many lighted buildings and hill silhouettes as night takes hold.
Back to the food! Come hungry as the portions are plentiful. My wife and I shared the fish and chips and walked away full. The description said British settled fish and chips and they were right on. Haddock instead of cod, much better. The chips were the stubby potatoes like the street cafes and pubs in London and surrounding cities.
The beers and other libations seemed limitless. We both had the amber which was a great accompaniment to the fish. We had multiple people taking care of us and Nicky was amazing, thank you.

“we had the BEST experience!! A platter for 2 with a sliced 12 oz med rare steak, 2 lobster tails, 4 prawns, 2 large lobster stuffed mushrooms, garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and 3 dipping sauces. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! You won't be sorry going here.....“

“From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, the professional and attentive staff take care of every detail. Restaurant is large - it has great ambience, the layout provides a personal and intimate feeling despite there being many tables. The food is superb, we plan on returning to make our way through the great menu. It is the best place we have eaten at in Canada for food, service and ambience. We highly recommend the seafood tower as a way to taste through some of the menu. The grilled octopus rivalled what we have eaten in Italy. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. The wine list is extensive and expertly curated.“

“this has been the best Korean food I've tried on the island since moving here over 2 years ago. The tteokbokki was quite flavorful and was deliciously spicy.
Really good service and kind servers who greeted you, and checked in often. Never felt rushed or felt like I was unwelcome there. Waters were quickly refilled and offered.
Nice ambiance, a cozy spot with warm, authentic Korean food. Will be returning soon.“

“We order the must try whole fried fish and Hawaiian burger. Burger bun down bun was burn abit, other than that it was not bad. Would have been delicious if it was not burn. The whole fried fish (small) was unbelievably good—honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The flavors were rich and perfectly layered, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. A dish I’d recommend everyone. 😊“

We ordered the steak and seafood platter for 2. food was fabulous, too much for us to eat. My only issue would have been i had to ask for ice water.“

“Tried their Combo #2 with egg foo young and chose BBQ fried rice to pair. Asked for reduced sodium and they happily obliged, which is always a plus for me.
The food was well made and tasted as expected for a spot like this. The restaurant looked dated with the poor lighting but was clean.
For the incredible price, I only have good things to say about this place. Just remember to bring cash.“

“My husband and I have a delicious dinner here tonight at the Keg. Our server Daniel was exceptional. The food was outstanding. Daniel heard it was our anniversary and he even let us choose a special dessert. He really made our anniversary dinner stand out and so special and we can’t wait to come again.“

“We had a great experience here tonight for our anniversary. Our server Nicole was so friendly and helpful, and everyone working there had a smile on their face. Nicole even brought us complimentary drinks to celebrate, including a non-alcoholic one for me, which was really thoughtful.
The steak was really tasty and the dessert was amazing. The view is also very stunning , especially at sunset. Overall, we had a really lovely evening and would definitely come back!“

“Our chef (red coloured hat/ascot in the photos) was a REMARKABLE addition to our evening. He knocked it out of the park with the banter. I will definitely be saying this with certainty: Ever single person at a restaurant has an even higher bar to stand next to now that I know hospitality isn’t actually dead. I have been in this industry for 12 years, I’m blown away. VERY impressed. You hosted 2 groups of strangers like we were your best friends. The steak was cooked perfectly!!!!! “We visited again from Sask and did not disappoint! Amazing! Well worth the wait in line! I had the tuna on salad! And my husband had the halibut fish and chips with a side of the chowder. The chowder was his favourite. Still taking about it. The staff were also fantastic. Friendly and very efficient! For the amount of people served and the small space we were amazed at how spotless the kitchen was. Highly recommend a visit here!!“
