“We visited Victoria for a weekend getaway, and did a bar crawl of the top-rated cocktail bars in downtown Victoria. This was our favorite, and it wasn't all that close of a contest.
The location feels secluded and intimate, the menu is beautiful and with a coherent theme. The fact that many of the cocktails were available either alcoholic or non-alcoholic was great, have never seen that before - and the NA drinks were delightful as well.
We came back the next night and had a great experience again with the same server, who answered our strange questions with gusto.
I would have preferred the centerpiece light fixtures be candles or similar, as the little light fixtures were a little bright to stare at.“

“From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, the professional and attentive staff take care of every detail. Restaurant is large - it has great ambience, the layout provides a personal and intimate feeling despite there being many tables. The food is superb, we plan on returning to make our way through the great menu. It is the best place we have eaten at in Canada for food, service and ambience. We highly recommend the seafood tower as a way to taste through some of the menu. The grilled octopus rivalled what we have eaten in Italy. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. The wine list is extensive and expertly curated.“

“I just wanted to send out a massive heart felt thankyou to every single one of you who were involved making the night so special for us last Saturday. We all really appreciated the space to celebrate the life of a dear friend, who ironically loved the Rooftop, and Big Bads....and then we ended up totally fluking out, and landing the two rear tables of Big Bad's after we left!! 😍 All parts of an amazing evening. The planner was incredibly easy to work with and really pulled some strings for us, the waitress was awesome and super kind. The food was great and we noticed the DJ played our tracks!!! Thankyou so much everyone. ❤🙏“

“Chadol Sukju Bokkeum was a large portion of sizzling delight. Great meat to bean sprout ratio, stir fired in a delicious sauce. Side dishes were tasty but incredibly small compared to competing restaurants, offering more options and free refills. Service was quick and friendly.“

“Great staff, great food but hard to find... so I'll call this place a hidden gem.
The address of this place is on Douglas Street but it's actually located in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel which is situated between Penwill St, Burdett Ave and Humboldt St .. super confusing.
I walked in and ordered two pizzas from Kip, who is a shining star at this location. Very friendly, wildly humorous and great at his game as he talked me in to a couple of beers while I waited for my pizzas. It was last call and the place was just shutting down but he never made me feel rushed and overall, it was the customer service that would bring me back if I'm ever back in town.“

“This was the best Japanese food I’ve ever eaten. I’ve eaten in some of the fanciest Japanese restaurants in some of the world’s biggest cities including Vegas, Vancouver, San Francisco, Toronto and more. This was absolutely the best out of all of them. The deep fried little crabs were amazing. The staff was wonderful and the owner was fantastic and so generous. Thank you for the great Father’s Day meal.“

“bougie Mexican served by the most egregiously S-tier hipsters BUT it all happens at the absolute coolest spot in town! Christian and his gang of restaurateurs crafted the most unique layout and if I was a drinker and or someone who ate out instead of eating homemade deliciousness this would definitely be a spot I would go to!“

“Our server ( initials ART) was tremendous - friendly, polite, accommodating and good with the teenagers. The boys' burgers were delayed due to a glitch in the kitchen and she very diplomatically dealt with the issue. To our amazement and with great appreciation, when we came to pay the bill we found that the burgers were comped due to having to wait. Very pleasant lunch and many thanks.“

“We had a surprise 50th Anniversary party there with 70+ people and everything was perfect. Staff was great and the food was delicious. I would recommend the Rack to all my friends and family. Jasmine and Cole have got this down pat. 5 out of 5“

“I stayed at the hotel here and popped by the restaurant. It didnt appear too exciting but I ended up having a wonderful meal and lovely evening chatting with staff and patrons.
The pork tacos had so much meat and were delicious. We also tried the beat Salad and added salmon. It was cooked perfectly.
The manager was incredibly kind and accommodating. We asked many questions about the menu and drinks and he answered all of them kindly.
It was a very great experience overall. Not a busy spot but some amazing menu items and great service!!“

“Amazing atmosphere, delicious drinks and the service was perfect. Didn't try the food yet but the menu looked great! Tonight we went to visit the new location in trounce alley and holy crap! They did an AMAZING job transforming the space!!!! We remembered what establishment was there before and we were just blown away! It is gorgeous now! Citrus and Cane already had a great reputation but this new location is more accessible to the downtown folks and they kept the beautiful atmosphere and vibe. Highly highly recommend! There was a waitlist but what do you expect from a great place that is one of the best places to be on a Friday night?! Wait wasn't long BTW. Check them out for the first time or re visiting and supporting the move to the new location. We'll be back very soon!“
