“Had a really good experience at Browns Socialhouse. I ordered the blackened chicken pasta, and it was really good. The nachos were outstanding and probably my favorite part of the meal. Our server was polite and friendly, and the service was great overall. Definitely a place I’d come back to.“

“I haven't been yet, but I love the Ancaster location in Ontario. My friend and I are coming out in September. Our plan is to eat in restaurants that we don't have in Hamilton. The only exception that we have is Milestones. Here in Hamilton we don't have the views that you do in Victoria! We will be there to enjoy the half price bottles of wine. Lucky for you we both prefer different wines! Lol

October 10th and I'm home from B.C. we were in B.C. for two weeks and our meal at Milestones was easily in the top two meals. I started with the beet salad and then we both had the blackened chicken fettuccine with mushrooms and garlic bread. From moment one, the front of the restaurant was warm and welcoming with the Fall decorations and the friendly staff. We were sat at the corner window seat with two directions of scenery. It was a Tuesday so we each had a half price bottles of wine that was recorked to take back to our cottage. Too full to walk back, we got a ride back. Thank you for a wonderful end to a rainy day at Butchart Gardens!!“

“Our server ( initials ART) was tremendous - friendly, polite, accommodating and good with the teenagers. The boys' burgers were delayed due to a glitch in the kitchen and she very diplomatically dealt with the issue. To our amazement and with great appreciation, when we came to pay the bill we found that the burgers were comped due to having to wait. Very pleasant lunch and many thanks.“

I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating my birthday last night at the rooftop patio at The Met, and I’m still buzzing from how incredible it was! 🌟

They were hosting an amazing Mexican themed party, and it just so happened to be my birthday talk about perfect timing! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond for everyone, but especially for me. They were constantly checking in, making sure we were comfortable (even bringing us heaters when the wind picked up!), and truly made me feel so special.

The food was fantastic, the drinks were top-notch, and the atmosphere was full of energy and fun. We even won prizes, enjoyed free food and drinks, and to top it all off — they surprised me with a birthday cake. 🎂

I honestly can’t say enough great things about this place. The staff made the night unforgettable, and I’ll absolutely be back. I’ll also be telling all my friends because if you’re looking for a fun, vibrant, and welcoming spot for a celebration or night out, The Met’s rooftop patio is it.“

(A lovely, sunny fall evening didn't hurt). As soon as the sun went down, the hosts turned on the heaters to ensure we ere comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience.“

“Had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was fantastic and beautifully presented. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home. “Just back from lunch today and we were impressed with the space, the people and the food. A quick water taxi ride from Fisherman's Wharf we found ourselves moments away from a lovely booth overlooking the water and all the activities on it.
We had a couple of drinks while our food was being prepared. We ordered the Muhummara dip to share as a starter, followed by the crispy pork bowl and the seafood chowder. Both were delightful and I brought some of the dip and pork home since we wanted to try a few desserts. We shared the pistachio creme brulee and the lemon posset. The lemon won out for its refreshing taste and light textures. The creme brulee was amazing but more subtle in flavour. We brought home a coconut lime tart for dinner so one more thing to look forward to!
I read the reviews online and was not disappointed. I highly recommend the trip across the harbour for this experience.“

“BBE. Best Birthday Ever. Friends took me to 1550's for beer and wings for my birthday. I love chicken wings and the selection here is awesome and delicious. Keith the owner wished me Happy Birthday and promised NOT to have the crew sing to me!Highly recommended by someone who's been enjoying chicken for five and a half decades and beer for slightly less. Mmmm, Dark Matter Beer!

“This place has an open and modern space with plenty of seating, a bar area, and large windows that keep it feeling bright. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food arrived at a good pace.
I ordered the 1989 Burger with fries and the spinach and artichoke dip to start. The burger was juicy with a solid bacon and cheddar balance, and the dip was creamy and properly hot. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were solid. It’s a reliable casual dining option when you want something familiar without any surprises.“

Called down from my room and asked if they did room service, they do not.
The girl said it would be ready in 20 mins, I asked if she would call my room when my order was ready.
She didn't know how to that but said she'd figure it out.
11 mins later my room phone rings saying my order was ready.
Got down stairs just as they finished packing it up.
Came to find out she was in training.
The manager was great too, he was on the spot with getting shot figured out“

“I know some say the prices can be bad here but certain items I find do cost a bit less than places like Lifestyles or Thrifties etc. The selection is good; tofu, cheeses, non-dairy milks and yogurt, cereals etc. Sometimes you can find baked goods in the bakery section as well. They seem to get seasonal products in as well such as unique coffee, creamer, and dandies flavours. They also sell vegan supplements, protein powders, and self-care items. However this is a large chain store, so if you're trying to support local probably not your spot. Location is the size of a syandard grocery store with a coffee shop included on the left side of the store. Parking lot for uptown is quite large but can be confusing for people to navigate.“

“This place showed huge empathy when my mom was in the area for surgery & my dad kept coming in for coffee, meals etc. Not only did they remember my dad, they were kind, supportive & always asking him how he was & mom too! “I recently came to this coffee shop for the first time, and I was met with such friendly service, great coffee and a busy but cozy atmosphere. I enjoyed it so much that I came back again the following week and was met with the same friendly sevice and a delicous muffin! They have won my business for sure. Such a change from the other hipster spots that meet you cold glares and don't really care that you're there. Good Earth for the win!“

“It's not their fault sometimes the customers can be douchy. But I love pull tabs and keno. One time I asked for lemon in my water and they gave me barlime and unfortunately I find barlime to be one of the most disgusting things on planet earth. Would go back to gamble.“

“This place is a gem...that gets lost amongst the Golfer Clientele....
You do not need to be a golfer to enjoy Bill Mattick's Restaurant.
I love this place to take my book and sit on patio for appies and a cider SOLO, or daytime cocktails with the girls, or an early evening date night with the hubby.
...especially on the patio, in the sunshine with the gorgeous landscaping and sound of birds.
I highly recommend the Crab Dip (curry undertone) with chips, or the Halibut burger and yam fries.

The prices are reasonable.

I love that they have merridale berry 🍓 ciders.

The service is fast, kind and attentive.

“We were staying at the hotel while my hubby had heart surgery and ate there our first night. THE FOOD AT ATMOSPHERE IS AMAZING!! The second night I made an order online but accidentally pushed the Westshore location...(I'm in Saanich) when I was pointed out my mistake the young man up front went to talk to his manager Jenn! She had my order ready so fast! No questions asked! It was very busy in there for a Wednesday night! You guys are awesome. Thankyou again! We will be back to the hotel Accent Inn and Bin 4!“
