“Just go it’s very awesome“

“We visited the restaurant almost a year to the day from our last visit. (We live in AB or we would go more often) We had the tasting menu and the selections were thoughtful and awesome. The restaurant and staff were busy. We had a dish that we loved last year that involved corn and when the owner found out that we were in the restaurant he made a special course just for us which was DELICIOUS! We are used to tasting menus and the length between courses but our service was just a bit off with large pauses in between certain courses. The staff being busy weren't able to check in as often as we would have liked but it is still one of our favourites and we will definitely return again next September if not before.“

“Every time I go into this little gem of a restaurant I think “wow!”. The food is really great, service is friendly and attentive, and it has a comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend this neighbourhood restaurant - and I will pause to take pictures of the food next time!“

“2024-10-24 Thursday night happy hour. According to the server, she started the order at 8:56, so the happy hour pricing does not take effect. If only the server had the initiative to mention: "wait a few minutes for it to hit 9:00:00 (if you order at 8:59:59, it doesn't count). Also, the server had to be reminded for the simplest request to bring to the table chilli flakes and hot sauce. Not a good performance, the blondie was not on her best performance.

Fortunately, The restaurant manager Samantha resolved this via gift card reimbursement of the subtotal.

Lesson learned.

“I told our hotel we wanted a place that was within walking distance, had good vibes, a great menu, maybe steak and a bottle of wine, with dessert for my birthday, and they recommended this place -- it delivered on all of the above. We have 2 kids under 4 and they gave us a nice private booth out of the way (probably on purpose!) and sure enough within 5 minutes our 2 year old spilled a glass of water all over my daughter and wife. But the staff was great, brought coloring books, brought out their meal almost immediately, brought out our steak right after, while we shared a bottle of wine. They then had great desserts with a birthday candle. A great experience all around.“

“My Wife and I came for drinks. Showed up and it was Happy Hour. The service was prompt and attentive. We both had two cocktails each and shared a third. I had "The palms Mai Tai and "Nothing to Hide" and we shared "The Palm Piña Colad" I enjoyed all the drinks. The Mai Tai is not a tradition 1944 trader vics Mai Tai but you should know that from reading the ingredients but it was tastey. "Nothing to hide" was very good. Very well balanced and went down too easy. The Piña Colada is like the Mai Tai, as it's not the traditional and I actually liked it more than a resort style. It was a nice surprise. Not too sweet which is what I was expecting but it was smooth and creamy and delicious. Well done on the drinks, we'll have to come.back for food next time.

Parking: There was street parking 1 more n walk from the front door so that was no problem.“

“James made us feel so welcome, and his charisma was incredibly fun and refreshing. My entire birthday dinner, my boyfriend and I couldn't stop commenting on how much we were enjoying ourselves! The date night deal was the right amount of food, deliciously made, and all of our drinks were spectacular - still thinking about the Fall Fog cocktail. ;) Really great vibe to the restaurant and nothing but a great experience was had.“

“First off...I want to acknowledge my server "Emma"... great service, polite, helpful on assisting me with my choice of beverage and meal (which were both excellent choices)! Extremely cheerful and waiting time for delivery was excellent.

I thought we were going to be cold out on the open deck because of the funny weather...well, I was wrong!! Headlamps overhead were perfect!!!

Turnover time from ordering to eating was amazing...koodos to the kitchen staff!! Great place for casual dining with a group of friends, family or dinner for two!! A definite two thumbs up!!

“The food was pretty good; one of our steaks was a little tough, and the portions were small. However, the service was completely on point, and the waiter was very kind, professional, and knowledgeable of his menu items.

Parking: There were not many options for parking; we got lucky with a spot out back.“

“Fantastic. Super friendly service, and the food was amazing with big portions. Lots of variety and they change the menu often. We ordered the Best Things and everything was the best. Would recommend.

Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is level entry and all on a single floor without stairs. Space is small overall so access for come chairs may be difficult. Staff are very helpful however so would suggest mentioning mobility needs on reservation and I expect they would be willing to accommodate.“

“Cool place to have a drink on a patio in LangfordStandard menu. Nothing special.The server mixing drinks has no idea how to make sangria. I got red wine with ice. Took about 4 times until I gave up a got a rum and coke. Each time took 20 minutes.“

“The pork belly appetizer was 5-star. Unfortunately, it went down from there. Nothing wrong with the salmon and scallops main course, but it didn't compare to the flavour profile of the appetizer. The crème brûlée was burnt on the top, but the vanilla custard was top notch. Loved our mocktails; very refreshing.“

“Arrange of choices all of which sounded excellent. Ordered the basic farm-time one with eggs,bacon,sausage,tomato,potato’s, and toast. It was excellent. My partner had the scrambled eggs with a scone and it also was exception. Servers are very pleasant and professional. And the room has a type of English feel.“

“BBE. Best Birthday Ever. Friends took me to 1550's for beer and wings for my birthday. I love chicken wings and the selection here is awesome and delicious. Keith the owner wished me Happy Birthday and promised NOT to have the crew sing to me!Highly recommended by someone who's been enjoying chicken for five and a half decades and beer for slightly less. Mmmm, Dark Matter Beer!

“This little family run diner is always a reliable stop for lunch or breakfast. I’ve never had a bad meal here and I’ve been going here for years. It’s my go-to if I’m in the area and need a good lunch. My favourite is the prawn Wor Wanton soup, but everything I’ve had is good. Highly recommended.“

“My husband and I were visiting from Vancouver and spent the afternoon working at this coffee shop. The service was efficient as we noticed that the tables were cleaned right after patrons left and the coffee was well-made. We had flat whites! The brownies and lemon squish were so good! “Had the most divine time celebrating our first holiday party at the Courtney Room. I've never been to this restaurant, but I will say, I WILL be returning ??? it was the most satisfying meal I've had in a while.

To start, I had the kale ceaser salad, the cod for my main, and for dessert, I had the olive oil chocolate cake! All was extraordinary! “We did a private event for 38 people at this restaurant and it was exceptional! I would highly recommend this venue for a small wedding, corporate event or private celebration. Ellie (event planner) and Grant were fantastic and helping to make sure that every little detail was taken care of from the canapies, to the drink selection and food. Everything was exactly as we had dreamed it would be. The food was excellent, the servers were exceptional and Ellie made planning so easy. The flowers at the venue were beautiful and we appreciate Grant making the effort to assist us with planning our entertainment and having the Bluetooth speaker available. Everyone enjoyed the evening immensely.

Thank you so much for making our 30th anniversary so memorable! I have tons of beautiful, colourful photos… But can not share because there are people in the photos. We had the patio in the evening with the fire going and they had the buffet set up inside …everything was amazing. They even had a large bouquet of fresh flowers in the bathroom.“
