“Phillips is a brewery in Victoria. It's easy to get to and this part of town has parking available in plenty of spots. It's pretty big and has a few dozen tables inside plus an outdoor seating area. They have plenty of beers on tap plus canned ones as well, on top of a merch shop in the front. They have windows so you can view the actual brewery which is cool. The staff here are awesome, very friendly and fun to chat with. This is a solid spot to grab a beer with friends or even some food, which they have a decent sized menu with good portions for a solid price.“

“I’ve gotta say, definitely one of the best places I’ve been to here in Victoria. Food was absolutely fantastic. I had the best smash burger ever and the cabana fries are to die for.

Highly recommend paying a visit.

“This review is maybe a little odd than the classic review. I have to send a huge shout out to Refuge! My husband has Chrones and we had to make a sudden stop last night we happened to be in front of Refuge so we ducked in. Chrones is invisible to those around you but can cause great distress for those with it. My husband rushed passed the bartender as she was speaking to him. As you can imagine people often mistake this as him being rude and in other situations this has escalated things for us. This didn’t phase the bartender though she just turned to me and with a smile and no judgement spoke with me instead. I explained why he ran past her and she was only kindness. Refuge lives up to its name -A refuge is a safe place or shelter that protects you from danger, trouble, or distress. Thank you so much. It can be really hard for us to go out because his Chrones and as we don’t know how people react. Refuge showed there is still community and understanding.

On top of this they have incredible drinks! Oh and of course next level award winning in my option service. And what a beautiful and funky atmosphere. Everyone should go here all the time!!!“

“Everything was so good. Their fresh wasabi is a must try! Our total came to $250 for 2 adults and one child. Their pictured menu does not do justice for the actual food display! The food was a bit pricier than other sushi restaurants we been to, but the quality, display and taste is top notch!“

“We celebrated our Christmas party at this restaurant yesterday. The place itself is very nice, with a great atmosphere and a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, the food was a complete disappointment. Everything we ordered from the menu was extremely poorly prepared. The dishes were overly salty, over-peppered, and simply unpleasant to eat. It reached a point where no one at the table wanted to continue eating. We tried almost every item on the menu, hoping to find something decent, but nothing met even basic expectations. Considering the amount of money we spent, the quality of the food was unacceptable. The overall level of the kitchen was comparable to very low-quality street food, which was shocking given how good the restaurant itself looks. The management seriously needs to reconsider the standards of the kitchen and the work of the chef.“

“I didn't eat or drink here, but my travel companion brought me here as a must-see bar in Victoria. There's definitely a specific energy in this place.

They give you free peanuts and you just huck the shells onto the floor. There are bras on the walls and ceiling, lots of stickers and graffiti on the wall. It feels like the kind of place that took years to cultivate that specific grunge look.

Definitely a must-see, but not for everyone.“

“We stopped here for dinner mostly because they had a kids menu and we wanted somewhere kid friendly. The service was great, lots of food options for everyone, many NA drink options, I got the NA Aperol Spritz which was delicious. We sat outside which was shaded, very pleasant experience! Would recommend for those with children who want something nicer but still casual.“

“First of all, the second you walk in, the music sets the perfect atmosphere. Moments later, the staff welcome you like you’re family. The drinks arrive quickly, and then the food… THE FOOD. My God. They absolutely know what they’re doing.
I’ve tasted combinations I never would have imagined could work, and every single one was incredible. Tonight, alongside the thoughtfully crafted food menu, I was given a menu that highlighted where their fresh, local ingredients come from. That attention to detail made the experience even more impressive.
