“Syd was the first server to create a decent atmosphere at any restaurant I have visited in my 53 years living on this god forsaken planet. Especially when compared to my hometown of Milano, Italia.
The servers of my youth would make me feel more worthless than a maggot. The constant beratement from other waiting staffs has scared me mentally and is the reason I lash out at my children, Clara and Antonio. This experience with Syd and the other wonderful staff has cured me and I will no longer beat them before bed. I have turned a new leaf, allowing me to move beyond my horrific horrific previous dining experiences. I would like to suggest several members of your staff pursue a masters in trauma informed response/therapy, as their aptitude for this field is clearly evident and I'm sure you would agree if you had even a smidgen of intelligence or functioning eyes.

“Superflux offers some of the best beers I've had in Victoria with one of the best patios. Given the city's extensive craft beer culture, it can be difficult raise oneself above the high bar Victoria sets, but they've certainly done it.

I would highly recommend the Colour and Shape, if you get the chance!“

“We tried the Wagyu steak and several rolls at TORO, and everything was very delicious. The food quality is consistently good, and the servers are welcoming and friendly. We have visited this restaurant several times, and overall we always enjoy the atmosphere and the food.

The only area that could be improved is the service accuracy and response time. On several visits, we received something different from what we ordered, or the information provided about the specials or menu items was not fully accurate. However, in general, the staff have good behavior and the food is excellent, so we still enjoy coming here.“

“Stopped by here for a couple of beers and some snacks with a friend on a Tuesday evening. The selection of local taps is impressive and the staff really knows their stuff when you ask for a recommendation. It has a very relaxed, neighborhood vibe that makes it easy to lose track of time. Everything we ordered came out fairly quickly and tasted fresh. I’d definitely swing by again for a low-key night out.“

“We celebrated our Christmas party at this restaurant yesterday. The place itself is very nice, with a great atmosphere and a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, the food was a complete disappointment. Everything we ordered from the menu was extremely poorly prepared. The dishes were overly salty, over-peppered, and simply unpleasant to eat. It reached a point where no one at the table wanted to continue eating. We tried almost every item on the menu, hoping to find something decent, but nothing met even basic expectations. Considering the amount of money we spent, the quality of the food was unacceptable. The overall level of the kitchen was comparable to very low-quality street food, which was shocking given how good the restaurant itself looks. The management seriously needs to reconsider the standards of the kitchen and the work of the chef.“

“I didn't eat or drink here, but my travel companion brought me here as a must-see bar in Victoria. There's definitely a specific energy in this place.

They give you free peanuts and you just huck the shells onto the floor. There are bras on the walls and ceiling, lots of stickers and graffiti on the wall. It feels like the kind of place that took years to cultivate that specific grunge look.

Definitely a must-see, but not for everyone.“

“My friend and I had dinner here on Friday evening. This is such a great, cozy vibrant neighbourhood pub. Great atmosphere, and very busy. The food was also very good! We both enjoyed our meals. The service was what stood out to us the most though. Our server was very attentive, and she had such a warm, bubbly energy. We chatted with her a little at the end and learned her name was MJ. She also told us she was quite new which surprised us because she seemed like she had been there forever - a seasoned pro! We are both looking forward to coming here for dinner again soon and hopefully we will see MJ around!“

First time there for a special day, we sat at the bar and watched the food being prepared. And oh how incredible that food was! They had a whole pig so much of it was pork based. The carrots, so special, incredible. We had a incredible soup with pig feet and So many more dishes that we sadly gave up!! So here we are eating the last course we brought back cold a day later and it is still so incredibly delicious. The flavors are fun and new while being nostalgic somehow? Im not a foodie idk! Aside from the food, the people working were awesome! Felt welcomed from the moment we opened the door to the moment we rolled out. The curated Playlist only added to the experience of the night and to each incredible bite.

We will absolutely be back for our next anniversary, too bad it is a year away. Eek!“
