“So delicious!! It was such a wonderful and well prepared meal! We got the warm mushroom salad, the assorted katsu meal and the matcha ice cream. My husband can't stop talking about the mushroom salad. The servers were lovely and the food was fantastic with well balanced flavors. Will be coming back!!“

“This is a quaint café with ample indoor and outdoor seating. It has very large windows and is pleasantly bright. The outdoor patio looks out on Victoria's Gorge; a very relaxing scene. Service staff are very friendly. All in all a pleasant place to spend some time. Be aware that it can be a little tricky to find since it is at the back of an apartment complex. I didn't have a chance to try out the food but it looks very good.“

“This is one of Victoria's highlights. Bunny's is a hidden gem of a cafe and one of the few places to get a decent latte, flat white, or cappuccino. The food is good, but the atmosphere is cozy and community-oriented. The best way to describe Bunny's is that it's like coming back home for the first time. We're originally from Ontario, and stepping into Bunnie's, it was a quality cafe experience without any of the pretentiousness downtown. Just make sure you have some time to kill because once you get to the cafe, you won't want to leave, and they do close early.“

“I highly recommend this small, cozy, homey place. The staff/owners are so friendly and the cook/chef, a wonderfully friendly woman came out a few times and chatted. I came for the German meal tonight and it was fantastic. The red cabbage was like my mom used to make and the schnitzel was pounded into perfection! Topped off with an awesome Black Forest … all deeeelicious.“

“So, this was a take a picture before I ate fail; I even forgot to take a picture of my empty tray. But thankfully, there were some very kind people at Wheelies who allowed me to take a shot of another sandwich before it went out to the customer who ordered it.

I had their special and it was delicious. A masterfully creative play on a Big Mac (my inference - apologies if I got that wrong). It was supremely satisfying and a flavour explosion. So many things on their menu look absolutely outstanding. I can't wait to go back and work my way through it, and also their cocktails menu.

I'm gonna give a special mention to Working Culture who pointed me in the direction of Wheelies. They were on my to patronise list for today as I continued my search for amazing sandwiches, but alas, they were out. I'll pre-order next time.

“Sedona Cafe & Lounge is amazing! Lovely patio, fabulous food & classy vibe! We had the Sedona burger with Yvonnes amazing homemade salad dressing. Then to top it off, homemade sticky toffee pudding with homemade ice cream! (We shared but now I wish I didn't have to) It was all to die for and the perfect place for foodie lovers date night! “We were visiting Victoria and by chance met Fadi- one of the owners who told us about his family’s cafe. We LOVE Lebanese food so decided to check it out for lunch. We had chicken shawarma donairs and tabouleh and loved it. But most of all his family is so kind and warm and the cafe is super cute! Thank you!“

“I wanted to give a huge shout out to Torch Song Cafe! My soon to be daughter in law had an appointment at the White Peony next door. We arrived a little early so decided to grab a hot drink and a muffin beforehand. We had just received our drinks when the bridal shop opened so we didn’t have time to finish. When we left (successfully after buying a wedding dress) we were offered a re-make of our drinks “to-go” by the lovely woman who had served us at the cafe. It was such a thoughtful gesture. By the way, if you like a good bran and date muffin, they have the BEST!“

“Fantastic!!!! The food was truly amazing and the prices are so reasonable! The bacon was thick and chewy and crispy- just perfect! Of course the biscuits were exceptional and perfectly cut and toasted. I had the egg and bacon Sammy and added tomatoes and avocado. Perfect!!! Group of 6 all raved! A diverse, spread on a theme, and I'm not a gravy fan and it too was delicious. The special steak had homemade dips and stuff, and the vege was it was incredibly complex and yummy looking. I WILL BE BACK!!! The baked goods looked fantastic, but I'm so full!“

“This little cafe is phenomenal! I'm traveling⛴️ from Alberta and have been here twice. The food has been fresh, tasty and I absolutely loved it each time! The latte and cappuccino was delicious! They have lots of options too so if you are vegetarian, vegan or even keto, they've got stuff for everyone. If you are keto there's a vegetarian quiche that I think would count as low carb. They have great sweets too.
They even have complimentary lemon water. I highly, highly recommend this café! It can be a tad bit pricey, but worth every penny! It's a good thing I don't live here, I'd come here everyday and my poor bank account would beg for mercy.

“We were searching for a coffee shop open at 6:30 and stumbled upon this place.

What a great find! We got an Americano, a latte and two breakfast sandwiches. They were to die for! The lady working there in the back scrambled the eggs fresh and it was seriously awesome. I can’t remember the last time a breakfast sandwich was that good outside our house. Highly recommend this place and we will be back!“

No other cafe can even compare for me now because it is the world’s best london fog. There are also so many delicious food options. “The Imagine Studio Café is really worth a visit. We came by several times and the pastries, the sandwiches, the pizza and especially the coffee was sooo delicious. I had one of the best espressos ever!

“Cheaper than the cove and nice staff however there’s only like 1 lunch vegan option and sometimes they don’t have it - the hummus veggie wrap. I saw them trial another vegan option (like quinoa salad or something) but it didn’t appeal to me. Hopefully they can add some other tasty vegan options :) Daiya makes yummy vegan cheese (when warm) which can be an easy swap for noodles/lasagna… or a vegan sandwich option (ex. Roasted veggies, pesto, vegan cream cheese). Coconut oil, vegan butter, and/or vegan cream cheese could be an option to make the bagels vegan too!“

“I order food for someone who really needs it. High praise to those who started Red Cedar Cafe and its excellent service to the public. You are heros.The food is healthy and nutritious and caters to a variety of tastes. High praise too to everyone who has carried on delivering these much needed meals to all of their grateful recipients. You are also heros who deserve much more praise. I also love you have a sliding scale so people who can afford it can donate or even order a meal themselves. The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is because ordering on line is a little too complicated. I am happy to give suggestions to improve this if asked. Currently, it is my understanding that only agencies can call in with orders. It would be nice if luddite individuals could also just phone in. When I go on holidays the fellow I help goes without meals.

Dietary restrictions: If I were to be requiring this service I would need more gluten free options.

“The cafe in the UVic MacPherson Library has the usual light eats and coffee/tea menu. There’s actually a fairly wide selection of sandwiches and baked goods. The variety of Numi tea is nice; I like their teas. The sandwiches are all of the prepackaged variety, but I thought my smoked salmon bagel was pretty good given that. The only complaint was that the greens on it were a little past fresh, and the bagel was just cold and probably would’ve been better warm or at least room temp. The salmon thankfully was fresh enough. It tasted like it would’ve been a really good sandwich if it had been freshly made, and I honestly prefer that over a fresh but mediocre sandwich. Note that I was there on Sunday, so it’s possible the selection may be fresher during the week. I also got a vegan cherry brownie which was great, chewy and moist, not too sweet. For a little university cafeteria I thought it was pretty good.
There’s lots of seating here but it is a library, so lots of students studying made it pretty busy, and this was Sunday, so while I was able to get a table without struggle, I would imagine it would be harder on weekdays. It was, as far as I was aware, the only place open on campus on a Sunday midday besides Starbucks and dining halls.“

“Used this cafe for a quick breakfast when staying at the hotel. It has a good range of drinks and breakfast, brunch and afternoon tea items all of which appeared to be reasonable quality and the ones we had tasted fine.
As others have mentioned it is a little expensive but there aren't many options within a short distance. Also it gets busy and there can be a queue“

“Stopped by for some take out. Got a samosa, sausage roll, a fillet of salmon and Nanaimo bar. Samosa was delicious and there were meat and veggie options. It was also still warm when I got home which I did not expect. Nanaimo bar was elevated. You could tell good quality dark chocolat was used. Would definitely return to try other options. Everything looked very fresh and delicious.“

“As tourists used to the likes of Starbucks, Bows was out of the ordinary for us as the menu is classic and minimalistic, without the additives we are used to. However, customer service was excellent—they talked to us about what we liked and helped us curate a drink to our tastes, and they were very informative. Our coffees were delicious, as well. If we are ever back in town, we will return!“
