“just stopped by today and had the most scrumptious donuts!!! i am particularly enamoured with the lemon crunch! it tastes a bit like fruit loops to me, in the most mouth watering way! each donut i had was delicious and totally worth making the stop :)“
“i’ve been here so many times omg, my #1 go-to place when i want a nice drink other than coffee!! i’m obsessed with the dandelion latte but the chai and seasonal drinks are also good!! i also love the cookies and brownies (i recommend smore & triple choco cookies, and peanut butter & maple marshmallow brownie). food-wise i’ve only tried the jackfruit scrambler so far but i really enjoyed it and hope to try more food items soon!!“
“Wonderful staff with exceptional communication skills that does their best to accommodate out of town customers! Thank you so much Jess and Adam, you guys are remarkable! The olive loaf was one of the best we have ever had, definitely a must try for olive lovers! Great crust, soft and chewy middle with an abundance of savoury olives, yum!“
“I walked in here on January 20 and ordered a red velvet cake slice and an eclaire. They were both absolutely delicious! That being said, I need to rave about the pain au chocolat (basically a croissant with chocolate filling for the uninitiated), a Paris breakfast staple, which La Roux also serves. I went to Paris in October 2023 and had pain au chocolat just about every morning. They were always delicious, as they should be if you want to serve food in Paris and do well. I unfortunately have not found that quality returning to Canada - until now! I was prepared to be disappointed biting into a La Roux pain au chocolat, but OMG!, memories of my first morning in Paris came flooding back! Absolutely love this place ? I will be back and encourage fellow Paris travelers to check them out and get their amazing pain au chocolat/croissant fix in!“
“The macarons here are absolutely HEAVENLY. My favorite is fuzzy peach and watermelon :)). Definitely recommend the only downside is sometimes the filling is in consistent so one will have a really big of filling and an other macaron will not. But who cares they still taste really good!“
“We couldn't be happier with the exceptional service and DELICIOUS cookies provided by Martha's Delectables! We recently ordered a large number of custom logo cookies to promote our new business and we were blown away by the attention to detail and divine taste. We have received countless compliments on these cookies. So much so that we just doubled our order. Thank you for helping make our launch of Resting Paws extra special (and tasty!). We highly recommend Martha's Delectables for top-notch baked goods and exceptional customer service. Dr. Vanessa & The Resting Paws Team“
“If you don't already know this amazing foodery, you gotta go! If you love pies, this is your place! Best pastry ever! And I know pastry!A unique and innovative approach to food. Tastes and ingredients are often in unusual combinations, but they are soooo good! Today was a spicy chorizo sausage pie. Oh my.There are also frozen take home meals when you don't know what's for dinner. We love the vegetarian lasagna and their shepherds pie.The staff are fun and personable and enjoy a bit of banter too.Go there! You will not be disappointed.Parking: There are parking spots available right out front.“
“Do NOT trust the fake bad “reviews”!! Crust Bakery is a local gem. Staff are lovely, food is delicious. Savoury pastries can be messy and greasy at times, make sure they are not grilled too long. Had the pistachio ganache tart and was delighted. The entryway was quite crammed with people, difficult to get in and out“
“I decided to treat myself to a mini chicken pie and a lemon curd tart for Easter weekend. I was mesmerized with the flavor and quality of their goods. I’m also enjoying their cranberry feta and rosemary specially sourdough. The lemon curd was delightfully smooth, perfect flavor and texture of the crusts on Both were 10/10. This bakery has been a neighborhood staple for so long and I hope they stay forever. Thanks for another great visit.“
“As someone that can't have dairy I have tried a lot of vegan ice cream, and parachute's is my favorite. The texture is rich and creamy, and the flavors are fun. They sell pints and cones and even by the cone, there is more than one vegan flavour to choose from, which is so appreciated. Highly recommend ?.“
“Most mornings I come here for a latte and pastry, but that’s not the whole reason. The dynamic duo of Dawn and Christina keep me coming. Their glowing personalities and warm welcomes are the best in town. Dawn truly cares about the products she makes and the customers that frequent the cafe.Keep up the great work!“
“We purchased a carrot cake and cupcakes (vegan and regular) from oh la la for my daughter’s baby shower. The carrot cake was absolutely delicious and moist. Not too sweet but sweet enough to make it one of the best carrot cakes I have ever had. Everyone at the shower raved over both the cake and the cupcakes. The vegan cupcakes were gobbled up along with the regular ones. The presentation of the cake and cupcakes were also a five star. Beautiful inside and out! So very happy with my experience at oh la la! Highly recommend!!“
“It is a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the stop. If you're headed to the ferry or airport, you should take a little detour for a pre-departure meal or snack. Their specialty lattes are great and I'm sure all the other pastries are good. I only ever get the vanilla custard Danish and I'm never disappointed. If you go in the summer they also have in-house refreshers as well which are also very good. If they break into charcuterie it would be a perfect place for me, at least.“
“I had a delightful experience at de'lish, a cozy café near the ocean at Oak Bay. The charming atmosphere, delicious pastries, and a menu featuring healthy options made it a perfect spot. The table with a fireplace added warmth and a romantic touch to the overall ambiance.“
“I came here maybe 1 year ago when I was visiting famu. I have only tried their egg and green onion bun…so simple but sooo tasty! I am literally in Edmonton wondering if they will ship here…I have such a hankering. Really nice people too :)“
“This cafe is close to my job site. They have drip coffee quick and ready. Phil and Sebastian beans (I think) which is great! Bright and calming atmosphere, bigger than most cafes which really improves wheelchair accessibility.Wheelchair accessibility: no stairs, large and spacious. bathroom is a good size :)“
“A Victoria institution, unique and amazing enough that if you’re visiting the island, you should absolutely go out of your way to visit, and walk the North Park area. The exterior and Mason street is packed with awesome graffiti. For ordering: recommend the ham & cheese sandwich which has jaw dropping flavor combinations of sweet, savoury & spicy; the breakfast danish and a finale treat: the blueberry custard tart. ❤️“
“I’ve driven by a lot and popped in a few months back for sweet treats, cookies and cinnamon rolls. All of those were great! Second visit was around 9:15am, the place was empty. The staff is super friendly but they seemed disorganized or maybe distracted. We were eating in and I had a breakfast wrap. It wasn’t heated all through and was just okay. This place has a nice bakery atmosphere but talking to a few locals it can really be hit and miss. I won’t give up though because the staff are really nice and I haven’t eaten all they offer so there is more to be had.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid cookies and treatsWheelchair accessibility: There is enough space to manoeuvre through“
“Loved this little gem. We tried pizza, the BLT, the egg breakfast sandwich, cinnamon rolls and muffins. We also bought a loaf of bread for home. Everything was really tasty the BLT was so good (it has pesto on it). The services was friendly and it was a sweet little spot.“
“If you find yourself in Oakbay, Check out Demitasse. The lunch menu is exceptional, comfortingand warmcom the staff, friendly and helpful, with excellent coffee, desserts, and more selections than you could possibly imagine. But nothing, nothing, compares to their ham and cheese croissants. I am a world traveller and have had croissants in almost every country proud to serve them, including France, But these were the best I have ever had. I go there two or three times a week just to load up on these incredibly savory, soft and delicious pastries. Do not miss out on these incredible croissants.“
“Awesome little bakery with absolutely delicious pastries. They have a cool little diner in the back with amazing breakfast sandwiches. They have a full menu for breakfast and lunch that stay busy. But the star of the show is the pastries and cakes.“
“This is legitimately THE only place in victoria to get an actual gelato, and that is all you need to know, the pistachio gelato is real and it will grab you by the ear and grind your face along the cobbles of a small villa just outside Naples. The bread is also very good.“
“While the selection of brunch items isn't huge, there's something for everyone. My scrambled eggs were absolutely perfect and the fresh basil I the bruschetta topping was so delicious. My wife really enjoyed her breakfast sandwich with avocado, the bread was soft and delicious. I will definitely be back!“
“Met Andy and his Filipino Co worker, whose name escapes me right now, sorry. Both of them were totally upbeat and helpful as it was our first time here. They walked us through what was what, and we put together an order. The bread was so soft on the inside with a little crunchy outside. I absolutely loved it, a long with a few goodies for myself and the kids for later on. I have walked by bringing my daughter home from school and always kicked myself for not walking with money. They leave the door open and let that beautiful baked scent fill the strip plaza, and it gets me every time. I decided to drive over and not delay the inevitable any longer...highly recommended, and we will be back for sure.Parking: Tons of parking, not always in front of the store but plenty parking ?“
“What a lovely place with to-die-for goodies! The place sure gets busy and sometimes you need to stand in line outside, as the place only fits 1-3 people inside.Really cool that you’re able to see the staff working on the baked goods/ breads.“
“This is my first time at this location. This fol épi is located on Harbour Road, and it truly exceeded my expectations. Fol épi, just around the corner, has some fierce competition in this area, but this gem stood out for several reasons. First, the ambiance of the place is just too cute and inviting. It's the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends and the service is excellent! The baked goods, oh my, they are heavenly! I couldn't resist indulging in a Pumpkin Spice Latte, and it was perfection . But the real showstopper was their selection of pastries - the Kouin Amann, chocolate brownie, florentine, and palmier were all phenomenal. What sets this coffee shop apart is their use of French techniques in pastry making. It's evident in the perfection of each item. It's safe to say that they offer some of the best pastries in town!Overall, I had an amazing experience at this coffee shop, and I can't wait to go back for more. If you appreciate high-quality baked goods and a cozy atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. Five stars without a doubt. I shall return!“
“My first time here after hearing wonderful comments about Esquimalt Bake Shop having the best donuts in Victoria. This is so true! They are THE BEST! Not a heavy donut like other places. Very flavourful. You can taste the flavors. Worth the trek!“
