“To start the customer service and atmosphere in this bakery is incredible. It's got great art on the walls. The sourdough options are amazing, whether you like a softer bread or a denser bread. I love the Lunch Pail which is a soft sandwich bread. Their sandwiches on focaccia are very delicious always with a meat and veg option and their veg options are particularly inventive. They make their own house setein for their veg sandwiches which is particularly nice. It's a great family owned business. Their cinnamon bun is a must try. Delighted to have this bakery in the city.“

Ordered a 16oz but was given 12oz and told they don’t do 16. I have gotten 16oz americanos there previously- not sure if this is a new thing? Good coffee though!“

“Sam’s london fogs have been an absolute staple in my daily life for the past couple of years working nearby Taste Cafe! No other cafe can even compare for me now because it is the world’s best london fog. There are also so many delicious food options. Some of my favourites are the veggie sandwich, peanut butter jenny bar, and the roasted pepper soup. Every day I feel lucky and excited that I get to go to this cafe!“

“AMAZING PLACE INDEED: DUO CAFE is lovely Cafe inside the Lobby of the Inn at Laurel Pointe - and it is truly exceptional.

I was on vacation with my husband in Victoria in Dec 2025 and discovered this great cafe and we come regularly now that we have moved back to Victoria. The staff are always amazing and do an exceptional job of consistently providing great service and making exceptional drinks and baked good.

Since I spent about 25 days in Victoria in December - and since our return in January 2026 my husband and I have visited many of the local coffee shops and bakeries in search of that special combination of having EXCEPTIONAL COFFEE AND EXCEPTIONAL BAKED GOODS!!!! It is a very hard combo to find - and DUO CAFE is the only one to have that prize.

Victoria for the size of the city has an abundance of coffee shops and sadly most do not know how to make good drinks. The things about Duo that makes it stand out is the quality of the ingredients from what they use to prepare their coffees, and specialty drinks - to the high quality of ingredients they use to prepare their baked goods.

If you were to order a Dark Chocolate Mocha at DUO CAFE - you get an outstanding coffee base for the espresso and they use their special dark chocolate mix for the Mocha portion of the Latte.

No one else does that in Victoria - you usually get those horrible TORANI SYRUPS that are just horrid and destroy the coffee. And if other coffee shops in town use a better bought mix from a supplier it may be mediocre at best - but better then TORANI - but then they fail on the espresso side and use an inferior coffee for the espresso base and also skimp on the amount of espresso they use so the latte is weak.

Also, at Duo Cafe the management and staff pay attention to the details. When you order your drink - you get a lovely short bread cookie on the side. Everything here is done with great care to quality and refinement.

The baked goods are also exceptional: Always fresh, and you can taste that they use high quality ingredients as the flavor is full and delicious. Most of the baked goods I have tried in Victoria since being here in Dec 2025 and then moving back permanently in January, are not that great to be honest.

DUO CAFE - is truly culinary grade in everything they do. My only regret is that once more people become aware of DUO CAFE. I won't be able to get seat anymore.“

All of their locations have donuts and have a great cozy atmosphere with tasty homemade coffee drinks. If you want the best selection of donuts though go to their original Discovery Street location.
