“I ordered the Mini Meal for $25, which I did not find was that mini! First out were 2 garlic knots which were heavenly goodness of fresh, fluffy, garlicky dough that I dipped in nicely contrasting ranch dip. The main dish was "thick crust" single pizza of Superfunghi. The "thick crust" was not what I was expecting. It tasted more like toppings on focaccia bread. The herbed potato cream on the pizza didn't really work for me as it made the rest of the pizza, especially the arugula, soggy. I ended up asking for some olive oil to dip the pizza in (which I was not informed in advance would be $0.50 extra until it showed up on the bill at the end). For dessert, there were 4 flavours of ice cream to chose from. Overall, I really enjoyed the raspberry cheesecake that I picked. It was a little sweeter and the raspberry flavour was not as natural as I would like, but the shortbread in the ice cream was a nice twist. The cookie that came with the ice cream was a bit frozen, but I did not mind it as I was so full from the rest of the meal and had to take the cookie to go.“
“WOW! What a blast! I had the best time making ice cream at 49 Below! Dan and Amy were awesome teachers, and they really made the whole experience a joy. I loved every minute of it and seriously hope they do more ice cream related workshops in the future. I can't recommend their insanely delicious ice cream and this class enough – it's an absolute must-try! Totally worth it – 10/10!“
“My co-worker brought us Hazel's ice cream bars for a treat today (coconut, toffee and coffee flavour). Everyone thought they were absolutely delicious. I had the coconut and after my first, bite I was in heaven. So much more flavouful than any store bought ice cream bar. Yum, yum, yum.“
“As someone that can't have dairy I have tried a lot of vegan ice cream, and parachute's is my favorite. The texture is rich and creamy, and the flavors are fun. They sell pints and cones and even by the cone, there is more than one vegan flavour to choose from, which is so appreciated. Highly recommend ?.“
“I love how many unique flavours parachute has. Last winter I was on a mission to find Rum and Raisin as a gift and was so blown away by their amazing icecream. I have seen parachute support local charities and not for profits through their organizations and I can’t speak highly enough about this company. They encouraged blood donations and just had a icecream where the proceeds go to Island Prostate Center. The flavours are ever changing and creative which I adore.“
“What a gem ? Great coffee, chill atmosphere, yummy baked goods. What else do you need in life? The kind of place that brings you smile, forces you to slow down and appreciate the small wonders of life. Thanks folks for being a hidden gem. Take the time to look for it next time your in the Cook Street village neighborhood.“
“Rain or shine, Softy's at Uptown is the perfect spot to pop in for a quick treat. More than just the delicious dairy-free ice cream — the staff is lovely and genuinely cares about how we're doing when we stop in. We make sure to say 'hi' every time we visit Uptown!Dietary restrictions: The ice cream is dairy-free and delicious.Parking: Lots of free parking on the ground level and in the free parkade.Kid-friendliness: Kids love this place, and the treats are just sweet enough. There's also lots of space to run around in the outdoor square adjacent to Softys at Uptown.Wheelchair accessibility: The order window and displays are accessible and on the main ground level.“
“I go here every couple of weeks for the last year with my partner and the lovely woman that owns the shop & her teenage kid run it and are so sweet and caring. I was excited to find that we had bingsoo in Victoria since we as a city are lacking a lot of good treats, so it's well worth the drive and the bingsoo never misses ?We love the mango the best, but also strawberry, Oreo, grape(w/ yogurt bingsoo), and the brown sugar boba bingsoo too!My partner also likes to order in a lot and gets 2 at a time. They freeze well and are like a yummy frozen project to chip your way through when you want a treat later! The Nutella taiyaki is also our fav. Thaws our tongue after our mouth is too cold and lets us keep going on the bingsoo!“
“Jackson's Ice Cream is located on the incredible Fisherman's Wharf. They had fast service, a lot of options, and the quality of the ice cream was excellent. I highly recommend taking a trip down to the Wharf and having lunch followed by some delicious ice cream from Jackson's!“
“Two scoops and a cone at only $5.00!? Not as many flavors to choose from as some of the other stands in the area, but they have all the flavors that matter! The person that served me was really friendly. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.“
“I've bought ice cream from Mr. Tubbs twice. I really enjoy chocolate ice cream, and it was tough to find the perfect one with a rich chocolate flavor. I especially like their chocolate fudge ice cream. They have lots of flavors to choose from, and their strawberry ice cream is tasty as well.“
“I usually stop here for a milkshake on the way to the dog park. Lovely staff, delicious milkshakes and a really cool open concession concept. I did order a burger once and it was also yummy. I will continue coming here as part of my routine.Parking: Not a lot of spots during peak hours but I usually find one when I visit.“
“What the ideal small ice cream shop looks like to me. They've got the classic flavours, the seasonal flavours, and the wacky flavours for every customer. Ice cream is churned right there in the shop and all the flavour notes can be tasted. Their ice cream sandwiches are hefty and filling. Will be coming back for sure.“
“OMG!! I love this place. I've been meaning to give you guys a try for some time already, but I live downtown and I rarely come up your way. Also, my boyfriend is more of a meat and potatoes kind of guy. It wasn't his first choice for our Friday night dinner.I'm happy to report that he loved the Barbacoa Beef Bowl. The bowls are fresh and tasty with a variety of flavours from all the different ingredients. It's amazingly difficult to find fresh healthy food in restaurants these days. Thank you for the great food. I'll definitely make my way out to you more often.“
“Came in today for the first time since it was a Starbucks. Was having a tough day since my mom just passed recently and it's Christmas Eve. All the employees were angels. The kindest humans I've met in a long time- they made me comforting and delicious drinks and kept checking on me. They interacted with each other and customers in such a kind and friendly way, making everyone feel welcome and at home. My horrible day was made way better by just being here. I'll certainly be back. Thank you all so much and happiest of holidays to you.“
“Had the BEST poutine the other night! My husband and I often stop in for ice cream/blizzards but I was really craving something savory so I got a poutine and it was amazing! Lots of gravy and actual cheese curds! I was very impressed with the improvements in there since the new ownership took over - everything is digital now and WAY faster! The customer services was great, they even recognized me (maybe a sign we stop in for ice cream a little bit tooo much) :-)“
“Best DQ in town. The burger was juicy, fresh, smothered in sauce. Feels like going back to the 90’s when you could dine in at fast food. Staff are pleasant, efficient, actively listen. The restaurant was clean and orderly. Kudos to this operator. The other locations in town are reflective of the decline of society. Moody teenagers, slow service, zero service, filthy tables, daytime homeless shelters.“
“OMG my dipped cone was amazing. I had the dulce de leche and my husband had the salted caramel. We both ordered a small and it was anything but small. Definitely worth every penny and then some. The staff was very friendly and the service was great! We met one of the owners and he was super friendly and gracious. I certainly recommend this place and I fully intend to go back anytime I’m in Victoria.“
