Superb ice cream and service! The flavours are a mix of classic & deliciously unique and the kids loved trying out the different flavours before choosing their cone. Best ice cream we have ever had!
Hip clean and totally tasty! Best ice cream shoppe on the island. It’s a bonus that 49 Below is also a super nice family run business.

Based on reviews, 49 Below Ice Cream - Oak Bay has the most delicious ice cream in Victoria. The amazing flavours and quality are always served with a smile by kind, friendly, and welcoming staff who are respectful and patient with customers, especially with kids. It is a favourite family haunt, and the pup cup of frozen beef broth makes the staff absolute legends. Rotating features are always both interesting and exciting, with flavours that are bright and fresh. Favourites include the lemon swirl and honeycomb as a split cone, the Munchie Mix, Rhubarb Cardamom, and raspberry sherbet with seeds and chunks of raspberry. The Vietnamese coffee ice cream is rich and perfectly balanced, not too sweet, with a bold coffee kick. The ice cream is easily top two for Victoria, with unique flavours that never disappoint. A Valentines Day workshop was quite enjoyable and gave appreciation for how much work goes into the product.
