“Melinda’s Bistro is literally a hidden gem in beautiful Sidney, BC. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is amazing…especially their breakfast sandwiches and soups!!! They have a lot of great items on their menu to choose from, and their prices are on par…if not cheaper…than similar cafes in the Sidney/North Saanich area. If you’re travelling to or from the ferry or the airport, you should definitely check this place out!! :)“

“=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE It's Tims and it's in the airport: so it's likely run by Sodexo (embedded locations in Canada are not managed by franchisees/corporate head office). So if you have a hankering for Tims while at the airport, get it here! (Though I wish there was a location behind security in the Departures area :) === 2. FOOD On this visit, I happened to have the: - Bacon Egg English Muffin - Bacon BELT on an Everything Bagel - Fruit Explosion Muffin; and, - Water.The food meets the Tims standards!Note: when buying any drink in this pre-Departures area, the drink must be consumed or poured out prior to entering the passenger screening area. I waste some water every time...but rules are rules I guess!=== 3. SERVICE There is often a difference between these embedded locations and franchised locations and it's present here too. It's alright; staff are professional and fast enough for what it is.=== 4. ENVIRONMENT It's a walk-up counter, food court-style, so you're not dining in per se - though there are some communal tables and chairs in the airport behind this kiosk. Those with wheelchairs and baby strollers can roll right up to the counter. Parking: I assume you're not driving to the airport just for the Tims, but I if you are, the airport has plenty of space!“

“First time in for us. Service was good, waitress checked on us several times. The pizzas were all good and I particularly liked the signature salad. BTW, not many places nowadays that you can park were ever you want-for free. Will definitely go back again!“

“Since moving to North Saanich, I’ve developed an obsession with Sidney Scones. Not only are they absolutely delicious, but the owner is so kind and sweet! My daughter asked for vanilla dunkaroo scones instead of cupcakes for her 5th birthday and they were a huge hit!“

“It is a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the stop. If you're headed to the ferry or airport, you should take a little detour for a pre-departure meal or snack. Their specialty lattes are great and I'm sure all the other pastries are good. I only ever get the vanilla custard Danish and I'm never disappointed. If you go in the summer they also have in-house refreshers as well which are also very good. If they break into charcuterie it would be a perfect place for me, at least.“

“I was shocked at the amount of delightful offerings that Sidney Bakery has, but this is no secret to the locals! Donuts, breads, cookies, bars, and much much more all at a very reasonable price!! While the store is small, it has so much to offer. We purchased some treats, cinnamon buns, and cookies and loved each item! The value is incredible and the staff were helpful and kind.“

“While the selection of brunch items isn't huge, there's something for everyone. My scrambled eggs were absolutely perfect and the fresh basil I the bruschetta topping was so delicious. My wife really enjoyed her breakfast sandwich with avocado, the bread was soft and delicious. I will definitely be back!“

“Vancouver Island cookie company went above and beyond to deliver our cookies to a friend who had just recently lost a loved one. On top of their amazing customer service their cookies are so good and creative! Great for kids birthday parties etc!Thanks again for going the extra mile to help us out.“
