“What a wonderful evening spent at the Deep Cove Chalet! This was a first for me so I went with what everyone recommended, The Beef Wellington! I have to say this delicious plate of food did not disappoint AND it came with 2 more pieces. Our whole party enjoyed all of the food and drinks! From Rabbit to Venison to the delicious catch of the day being my favorite Halibut! The atmosphere, hostess and the staff are next level! Two big shout outs! One to the Chef for a delightful menu with so many options. The Lobster bisque was amazing, the best I've ever had ! And the second shout is to Ben our Server. “We love Howl brewing and have done so since they opened. On the occasional Wednesday walk around the airport, we time it so we can stop in, try the latest creation and chat with the owner operator.I have to say if you are looking for the same drink every time you go, this isn't the place for you. The beers are small batches crafted with whatever ingredients are currently available, and often done in historically accurate style. (e.g. Ancient Viking Beer).If you want beer that may exist in other parts of the world that you cant get in North America, you might find it here (Pulque). They made an Heirloom Tomato beer, available at our Favorite restaurant Hanks, that was so good, we drank almost the entire Keg between the two of us.The only downside is that when you find something you love, there may not be anymore of it. We are willing to take that chance.At the site, they have a small outside tasting area. They do growler fills and sales.”

“First time in for us. Service was good, waitress checked on us several times. The pizzas were all good and I particularly liked the signature salad. BTW, not many places nowadays that you can park were ever you want-for free. Will definitely go back again!”

“Great food and nice staff but the lines can get pretty crazy. Plan accordingly if you have a ferry to catch as they call you back to vehicles to load half an hour before departure time.”

“Although I am not exactly the target audience for an English Tea room, I have to say that Butchart far exceeded any expectations! Although we have been to the Gardens many times over the last 4 decades, this is the first time that my wife suggested that we take “High Tea” before our stroll through the amazing gardens... And of course it proved to be a wonderful idea as I relished every bite and sip (we also had the 3-glass “taster” which paired with the food nicely)... I will absolutely be taking tea on our next visit!”

“Incredible food and service. Our server Renee(hope that’s spelled right) was knowledgeable about the menu and excellent. The food was the best Indian food I have ever eaten in Victoria. I recommend it all but particularly the fish pakora as a start and the lamb curry to follow. Wow! Thank you for an amazing experience all around.”

“They serve generous portions of chips, easily sufficient for three people with a small size. I wish the chips were a bit more crispier though. The coleslaw was delicious, and the halibut was exceptional. Although I'm not usually a fan of salmon, it was surprisingly good. “I was asked at the last-minute to order in lunches for over a dozen team members for a 2-day client presentation, and then was asked to find gluten-free options for a couple of members. No problem!! Poke Fresh was able to provide amazing poke bowls for our GF folks in record time, at more than reasonable prices, and were extremely accommodating when I was asked to bring the lunches in earlier for the second day. The bowls got big thumbs up from the diners and I appreciated the quick and thoughtful service. Highly recommend!!!”

“Sushi Mago makes the best sushi in Victoria. No contest. The loveliest people work there. Everything is super fresh, ready on time and prices are quite reasonable. We love this place so much!Parking: Small lot, but always a space available. Exiting is difficult, requiring either an illegal left turn across three lanes or right turn across separated bike lane/right turn lane combo, thru lane and then to left turn lane if you want to head back to Gordon Head Rd or to McKenzie. Not business fault, it's poor traffic and safety planning on Saanich's part.”

“Mariners pizza is the best in sidney by far - great tasting and not very greasy, but the front end of their business and customer service could be better. Improved efficiencies and communication would make this a 6 star. Maybe they need a bigger kitchen?either way I highly recommend their pizza.”
