“Visited at the end of October from Ontario just after a snow storm ripped through. The owner was extremely knowledgeable, infinitely kind, and very helpful. The vineyard was very beautiful and there was not a single wine that we tasted that we did not thoroughly enjoy. I cannot truly say enough about how positive our experience here was. We enjoyed our time here immensely and it is a must-stop on any tour through Vancouver Island's wine country. We will be ordering online from this winery for many years to come.Thank you again for everything”

“Great food truck with undercover seating opposite the bike park. Food was great, music got my kids seal of approval and staff were helpful and fun with the kids. Great choice even on a rainy day.”

“Although I am not exactly the target audience for an English Tea room, I have to say that Butchart far exceeded any expectations! Although we have been to the Gardens many times over the last 4 decades, this is the first time that my wife suggested that we take “High Tea” before our stroll through the amazing gardens... And of course it proved to be a wonderful idea as I relished every bite and sip (we also had the 3-glass “taster” which paired with the food nicely)... I will absolutely be taking tea on our next visit!”

“Just went with a group of people (to the Victoria Loacation), I had the Big Kahuna Burger and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had.I was hesitant about the Mango Ketchup but it was tasty.Will definitely go back and try more.Staff was friendly and even gave me a little tutorial on how to eat the burger as it is bigger than normal, the "burger bag" was a game changer.Go there, eat it. Be happy.”

“It was a pleasant surprise to find such a nice Indian restuarant in Duncan of all places. Being an Indian, living in Surrey, I generally avoid eating Indian food when I come to the Island. However this time my buddies were craving Indian food, so we decided to give this place a try. Safe to say, this food can put most of the Surrey restaurants to shame! The food was fresh, homely and the staff were friendly. I recommend the goat curry which was really tender and well cooked. The prices were very reasonable too. If you are passing through Duncan, please give this place a try!”

“Happened to be in this area, and stopped by out of curiosity. Came in with no real expectations. I grabbed a breakfast sandwich, and it was truly one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve eaten. Everything from the toppings to the bun was on point. Will be back next time I’m in the area.”

“We popped in while wandering downtown looking for a bite, and gave it a try today. What a nice surprise! We shared the Brisket Spiced Mushroom Panini, and had a pour-over coffee. The Panini was about as good as we've had anywhere; a delicious balance of flavors and textures. The coffee was also really quite good. We thought it was a good value, with a strong emphasis on quality ingredients and excellent flavors - we'll be back again, and it's good to know that they can satisfy our family and friends' diverse dietary restrictions and preferences.”

Such a quiet, calm, relaxing atmosphere, well decorated in cafe style with sufficient seating inside & out.An abundance of delicious fresh baked treats, breads, drinks & much more.Quality is superb & pricing is very fair.The gentleman & lady that served me were friendly throughout.This is a must visit if your wandering in town or just want to sip coffee & relax”

“Gluten free household here! We've tried every gluten-free pizza in this town and hands down, this crust was so good, we worried we got the wrong pizza! Created our own BBQ chicken with that garlic pizza sauce ... speechless. Price comparable to anywhere else you'd get a dry, thin, from-frozen GF crust at $26 before taxes and delivery fees. I can only assume it was made from scratch in-house - doughy, soft, crispy, and holds shape even with loaded toppings. Only waited probably half an hour for it to arrive through Door Dash. Y'all doing the Lord's work for Duncan's gluten-sensitive! I'd give it 10 stars if I could - we'll be ordering again for sure!Dietary restrictions: (See above) - gluten-free crust available in 12" size, which is more than enough for two people.”

They even have cards, books and board games for those who are so inclined.All of the Red Arrow family I have met thus far have embraced me with a refreshingly thoughtful and friendly demeanour. Each and every one of them have proven time and again their willingness to go out of their way to appease and provide the best experience for me and my friends.Today I witnessed ‘Big Dog’ go the extra mile and then some - when he didn’t even blink at a customers request to bring one of the books home to finish. As I said, the Red Arrow is made up of a family of great people who are always going to put you first.”

“Excellent spot for really really good food. Burger was one of the best I’ve had and the Benny was delicious. Their side potatoes aren’t amazing so I’d skip those next time. The service isn’t fast (assuming because everything is made fresh and created with care) so don’t stop in if you’re in a big hurry. Heated patio and restaurant were full at 11am on a weekday so it’s a popular place. Turnover seems consistent though so not too long of a wait for a table. A definite must in Duncan as great food is hard to find there.”

A lovely little spot with a great view onto the bay.Parking: There are a number of parking spots immediately in front of and beside the restaurant, which is very handy since on-street parking can be very tight in that area.”

Of course, we had to get quarters to buy those 5 secon flavour bubble gums that you can only blow a few bubbles before it gets so hard it locks your jawsRum & raisin was my poison of choice ?”
