“West Coast Fish N Chips : The fish is cooked to perfection( we usually get cod). The fries are home cut with skins on, have to say coleslaw is a bit chunky for some people who wear dentures.. ( I enjoy it) Staff is great!, the prices have stayed reasonable, maybe because they haven’t renovated 🤔and We love the ambience!!!”

“Jacob is an excellent customer service manager. My girlfriend recently ordered us meals through the drive thru and they totally screwed up the order, lol, s*** happens. I called Jacob when my girlfriend arrived with my lunch he said come back we'll make it right. I mentioned that it was kind of inconvenient so he grabbed my name and number and offered to make it right next time I'm in. I just finish an awesome teen Burger meal, probably the best team Burger meal I've ever eaten, lots of fresh lettuce tomato bacon cheese juicy yummy. 🙏👍🤤”

Got seated and had water and drinks ordered within 2 to 3 mins.
Theynwe out of shrimp but, it was explained to us what was going on, ok, no biggie.
Muscles were on point, chicken wings were good. Calamari was a little under expectations but it wasn't bad, my taste is not your taste.
The seafood chowder was great that my son got, I usually stay away from chowder with salmon.
Wife and I ordered a sandwich to split and they sent 2 plate with half the sides on each and half the sandwich, I won't lie, that's one of the little things that stands out to me.”

Which is not the case in the Lower Mainland whose employees under the Foreign Service Program offer medicine service as well as who have difficulty communicating in basic English.....”

“We had dinner at Alpina Restaurant at Villa Eyrie Resort and were completely captivated by the breathtaking panoramic views of Saanich Inlet, framed by rolling mountains, lush greenery, and endless blue skies. Between the spectacular scenery and the outstanding cuisine, it was hard to decide which was more memorable!

We began with the rye sourdough bread, served with whipped butter and an apricot-cardamom butter. It was a simple yet elegant combination that we had never experienced before and absolutely loved.

For our mains, we enjoyed a roasted rainbow carrot salad with greens, feta, grains, and other flavorful toppings that made every bite delicious. The pesto pasta, finished with candied pistachios and a generous burrata, was an incredible combination of creamy, nutty, and herbaceous flavors. The seared tuna was perfectly cooked and served with fresh greens, while the grilled lingcod was flaky, moist, and delicately flavored, accompanied by tender beans cooked with tomatoes and other delicious ingredients.

Dessert was equally memorable. The **Les Rochers** was a rich, decadent chocolate pastry, while the **Tarte aux Myrtilles** featured a crisp tart shell filled with berry compote, topped with fresh blueberries and dollops of berry cream. The highlight, however, was the pistachio tiramisu. Our server assembled it tableside using ladyfingers, coffee, whipped cream, pistachios, chocolate, and other ingredients, turning dessert into a fun experience. The portion was enormous and easily enough for our family of four to share.

Outstanding food, impeccable service, and one of the most spectacular dining views on Vancouver Island made this a truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.”

“A nice, large coffee shop. We just wanted some light fare so we took some pastries (fruit almond brioche and strawberry cream danish), which were excellent. Also took a chai latte and a hot chocolate. Good service and room. Good prices. Highly recommend.”

“My wife and visit the gardens each summer and usually treat ourselves to the high tea. This year we felt the sandwiches were a bit bland and it appeared the menu was unchanged from 2025. Service was pretty good although the tea was not as hot as it could have been. Enjoyed the garden view from the outside terrace but be aware there can be wasps. Expensive for what you get but it is a nice treat!”
