“Stopped for coffee, a muffin and a sandwich on a road trip heading up to the Cathedral Grove old growth Forest. The coffee was flavorful, the muffin was fresh that morning, and so was the sandwich. There were a few tables in there with locals solving world problems.”

“We pulled off the highway to get coffee and fell in love with this little coffee shop, great coffee, baked goods, and lunch items. All delicious!! The rustic atmosphere, grass courtyard, and fun & friendly service all made it a perfect stop. Highly recommend visiting Rusticana Coffee :)”

“I attended Brentwood College School a few years ago, and this was honestly the only place around the whole town where I really enjoyed the food, not to mention this was the only asian restaurant around. Their food is honestly very good, and I'm not saying this just because this was the only sushi place around. Even compared to other sushi restaurants in Victoria or Vancouver, their food is just as good, if not better. I have tried most of their menu, and there was not a single menu that I thought was bad. Not to mention, the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. One time, I visited just to ask for a little bit of red pepper paste that I could not find in the local grocery store, and the staff gave me a ton of it FOR FREE. It has been a while since I was able to eat here, and I honestly miss it so much. Thank you for the great food and memories!”

“Although I am not exactly the target audience for an English Tea room, I have to say that Butchart far exceeded any expectations! Although we have been to the Gardens many times over the last 4 decades, this is the first time that my wife suggested that we take “High Tea” before our stroll through the amazing gardens... And of course it proved to be a wonderful idea as I relished every bite and sip (we also had the 3-glass “taster” which paired with the food nicely)... I will absolutely be taking tea on our next visit!”

“Gluten free household here! We've tried every gluten-free pizza in this town and hands down, this crust was so good, we worried we got the wrong pizza! Created our own BBQ chicken with that garlic pizza sauce ... speechless. Price comparable to anywhere else you'd get a dry, thin, from-frozen GF crust at $26 before taxes and delivery fees. I can only assume it was made from scratch in-house - doughy, soft, crispy, and holds shape even with loaded toppings. Only waited probably half an hour for it to arrive through Door Dash. Y'all doing the Lord's work for Duncan's gluten-sensitive! I'd give it 10 stars if I could - we'll be ordering again for sure!Dietary restrictions: (See above) - gluten-free crust available in 12" size, which is more than enough for two people.”

The highway makes it too noisy to enjoy a meal outside but there are plenty of places nearby to stop for a picnic. We went for the first time today and will without a doubt go back.”
