“This place is absolutely amazing. from the moment we walked in, we got smiles, we were seated within a few minutes ( showed up when it was busy).The food was fantastic!! The staff were very polite and the lady running the bar was an absolute gem. Even the manager was making rounds making sure customers were happy. Looks like they’ve open the patio back up for the season, gonna have to enjoy a meal out there next time !“

“Benjamin’s Cafe is one of the best places for Filipino food. We ordered the bulalo platter, and it was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and comforting. We also tried their new Chami Tamis Anghang, and it was so yummy with just the right balance of sweetness and spice. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. “Having worked in some of Victoria's premier top tier restaurants in the 80's in my previous career, I am able to recognise dining excellence. This is exactly what I experienced at Il Terrazzo a few days ago. Everything was excellent. The flavour in the dinners I experienced was truly next level, high end dining. Our waiter David was the consummate professional, offering excellent recommendations, paying attention to every detail, and never left us waiting for anything while simultaneously managing to be wholly unintrusive. Even the bus person who cleared our table knew all etiquette, had clearly been taught how to do the job with excellence. Moreover, I feel the need to comment on the portion sizes, they are truly generous. This is often not the case in high end restaurants. Despite being a very upscale restaurant, with a price point that is in line with this, the value proposition remains excellent due to the incredible flavours, texture, and food quality. Big shout out to the kitchen staff, we will be back to enjoy more of their amazing menu.“

The interiors are elegant without feeling forced, and the overall atmosphere makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the experience.

The high tea itself was well-executed: balanced, visually appealing, and, most importantly, genuinely delicious rather than just decorative. It’s clear there’s attention to both detail and guest experience here.

“Wanted a nice vegan lunch and found this was a couple blocks away from our hotel (Strathcona). Food was amazing! The mushroom soup was the best I ever had and the Mac bowl makes me want to come back for more. Highly recommended. All vegan, gluten free, locally sourced ingredients. “Tasmin was our server When we arrived, it was very busy, Tasmin seated us quickly in the "VIP" section which made my kids very excited. She was an absolute wonderful server, she was personable, funny and very knowledgable and helpful with the menu. She made our visit one of our favorite memories from our vacation. I would highly recommend this restaurant to families, it is a great atmosphere. Also, they offer a gluten free menu if you have dietary restrictions. “Can’t believe we have a place like this in downtown. The space is cozy with calming music. Super clean and it feels like you’re transported to another country, kind of Tibetan vibes.

We ordered the beef dumplings and they came with a sauce that tasted like tomato salsa. Surprisingly, it worked really well together. The chicken curry is milder compared to other curries I’ve tried, but still very good and comforting. It suits my taste.

The staff are really nice too. Even with just one chef and one server, everything runs smoothly and doesn’t feel chaotic.“

No other cafe can even compare for me now because it is the world’s best london fog. There are also so many delicious food options. “Went out to have coffee with my parents on a Sunday afternoon (March 8, 2026), we had a long conversation and accidentally stayed past closing as we lost track of the time. The staff member was super nice, they didn't say anything and they began the closing ritual of cleaning and shutting down equipment, we finally noticed and figured out they were closed, we apologized for staying past, and they were absolutely lovely about it, so huge kudos for nice people behind the counter.

Everyone's drinks and treats were very good too, I had an Orange Pekoe tea, I have come to expect tea to be an afterthought in cafes but it was exceptional here, the teabag was a disposable manually loaded deal and the tea was of an excellent quality so major kudos there as well.

My father's coffee was well made and he enjoyed it greatly, and my mother's hot chocolate was splendid.

The atmosphere was very nice, I will definitely visit again!

“I really love the customer service at New York Fries at Bay Center. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious. I tasted their fries and it was a real delight. The dishes are also beautifully presented, both in terms of the container and the food itself. The space is clean and pleasant.
