Great flavour combinations, good sourcing of ingredients, reasonable prices and a nice versatile aesthetic- can be casual or more formal depending on the occasion. The fried plantains are fire. I would recommend a reservation if you’re going for dinner“

“Absolutely the best restaurant and burger lounge in Langford !! I LOVE my Black and Blue burger and always ordered it but recently ate my friend's leftovers and now am addicted to their Chicken Rice bowl. I have to restrict myself from coming here every day. “A Drunken CPA I know went yesterday for dinner. Service (Michael) was fantastic. They were absolutely slammed. He said they do 400-450 people a night in the summer. You didn’t feel it though. No rushing you. Pacing was great for date night. Really good wine list to boot.

Highly recommend it for anyone who hasn’t gone.

“I shall have to come back and try it again, it was very good. I had the Takoyaki Appetizer, deep fried octopus balls and for the main course Black Arashi Tan Tan - Black sesame base with pork belly, egg, spinach, bamboo shoots, crushed peanuts, chili oil, garlic, green onion and nori seaweed.“

The location is absolutely beautiful. We thought the tea was a very good value. The sandwiches were delicious. The desserts were phenomenal. The service was also pretty good. We had tea at the Empress Hotel later on that evening and this tea experience was a pretty comparable experience. “

“We had dinner at Alpina Restaurant at Villa Eyrie Resort and were completely captivated by the breathtaking panoramic views of Saanich Inlet, framed by rolling mountains, lush greenery, and endless blue skies. Between the spectacular scenery and the outstanding cuisine, it was hard to decide which was more memorable!

We began with the rye sourdough bread, served with whipped butter and an apricot-cardamom butter. It was a simple yet elegant combination that we had never experienced before and absolutely loved.

For our mains, we enjoyed a roasted rainbow carrot salad with greens, feta, grains, and other flavorful toppings that made every bite delicious. The pesto pasta, finished with candied pistachios and a generous burrata, was an incredible combination of creamy, nutty, and herbaceous flavors. The seared tuna was perfectly cooked and served with fresh greens, while the grilled lingcod was flaky, moist, and delicately flavored, accompanied by tender beans cooked with tomatoes and other delicious ingredients.

Dessert was equally memorable. The **Les Rochers** was a rich, decadent chocolate pastry, while the **Tarte aux Myrtilles** featured a crisp tart shell filled with berry compote, topped with fresh blueberries and dollops of berry cream. The highlight, however, was the pistachio tiramisu. Our server assembled it tableside using ladyfingers, coffee, whipped cream, pistachios, chocolate, and other ingredients, turning dessert into a fun experience. The portion was enormous and easily enough for our family of four to share.

Outstanding food, impeccable service, and one of the most spectacular dining views on Vancouver Island made this a truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.“

Many brunch items are already plant-based forward and can be made entirely vegan by replacing egg with tempeh. I GREATLY enjoyed my vegan eggs benedict. The hollandaise was excellent. Hell even the latte was good. My lacto-ovo partner got the poached eggs on tartine with cashew cheese and also loved it. We gota ginger snap and double espresso cookie to go. Recommended!“

Overall a couple dollars less than other places - higher quality ingredients and recipes. Good option if your group needs a combo of meat and plant-based options.“

Originally went months ago on a Saturday afternoon but it was packed and too crowded to even be able to look around at all the unique crazy spectacular decor or to take photos since too many customers were there.

Kept seeing 5 star reviews so decided to finally go back and try the food this time.

Went on a weekday afternoon. Very quiet and relaxed this time with tons of empty tables and I was able to actually look around at everything this time.

My latte was in a huge Mug and over flowing in a good way. The server did an awesome job of bringing it to my table without spilling it since it was full to the max.

The Brisket sandwich I ordered was massive. I managed to finish most of it. Very tasty and I added the Hotwheels sauce they had on my table.

Awesome presentation and taste. Massive sandwich and they had the knife 🔪 sticking out of it.

Was definitely worth the price and I'll be coming back again to try another unique item to feast on in the future.

After my meal I was extremely full and totally stuffed but managed to look around in the cool gift/merchandise shop they have.

“To start the customer service and atmosphere in this bakery is incredible. It's got great art on the walls. The sourdough options are amazing, whether you like a softer bread or a denser bread. I love the Lunch Pail which is a soft sandwich bread. Their sandwiches on focaccia are very delicious always with a meat and veg option and their veg options are particularly inventive. They make their own house setein for their veg sandwiches which is particularly nice. It's a great family owned business. Their cinnamon bun is a must try. Delighted to have this bakery in the city.“

From when you first enter & you smell the fresh herbs to when you sit down around the table on super comfortable chairs/couches. WOW. The staff were attentive, personal and yet not in your zone too much. Helpful with advice on the food and menu. 10/10. The food was on another planet. We had three dishes in total - one appy and two mains. Cooked perfectly, extremely fresh flavours and large portions. The naan bread… just wow. Delish! Will be coming back and telling everyone about this. They deserve a line out the door.“

“Fantastic!!!! The food was truly amazing and the prices are so reasonable! The bacon was thick and chewy and crispy- just perfect! Of course the biscuits were exceptional and perfectly cut and toasted. I had the egg and bacon Sammy and added tomatoes and avocado. Perfect!!! Group of 6 all raved! A diverse, spread on a theme, and I'm not a gravy fan and it too was delicious. The special steak had homemade dips and stuff, and the vege was it was incredibly complex and yummy looking. I WILL BE BACK!!! The baked goods looked fantastic, but I'm so full!“
