This restaurant (one of a kind) could be considered a destination restaurant when going to Victoria Island.
I had the Tempeh Reuben (a signature sandwich) which has better “taste bud stimulation” than the cornbeef or turkey (non vegan) Reuben! The peanut/yam soup was delicious as well! Clearly, quality food!!!
We ate lunch at Rebar last Friday as part of our ritual of visiting every time we are in Victoria (since our daughter introduced us to the restaurant 15 years ago. The food was simple, yet delicious (Three Sisters Enchiladas and Vegan Reuben Sandwich). The flavours were amazing, the plates amply proportioned, and the bill very reasonable. I have been coming to the Rebar for over 20 years. It has been a constant comfort and is reliably delicious. Rebar has always been fresh and original - a true gem in this landscape of endless restaurants, that are trying to be what Rebar already is. Rebar offers something distinct.
