“Excellent for events! I hosted a surprise party for my partner and the upstairs was the perfect venue! Gavin and the HSBW staff helped me plan this event and they were so helpful organizing catering and making the day go off without a hitch. The food was amazing and affordable (focaccia pizza and local charcuterie are a must try), beer was fantastic, and the HSBW staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. The space holds around 30 people and is nice and private but you can also book the downstairs area for larger groups. Thanks HSBW team!“
“This place is a gem of a distillery - not just in Canada, but the world. They are putting out several varieties of interesting single malt whiskies. Some are in styles you won't find anywhere else - particularly their peated stuff. They also have easy shipping, which is a nice perk if you aren't able to visit in person. Definitely worth the try!“
“A good hangout for friends with some quirky touches. An under the sea theme for the decor which is in an industrial space. Didn't wait long for a table though it was busy on a rainy day. Pretty srandard selection of beers with curated flights and pick your own options. Also had some cider on tap. Lots of washrooms, all unisex. One weird table in its own niche. Attentive but relaxed service, a bit of a surfer vibe. Smart snack oltions with deep fried dumplings. Reasonable prices.“
“Stopped into the Phillips Brewery for mid afternoon break on a cold day shopping.Mostly hightops with stools with an industrial vibe and beer being brewed in an adjacent room.Enjoyed a flight of 4 beer for $9 and apretzel sourced from Yonni’s.Fairly busy and quick service with 3 servers available who had detailed knowledge of the characteristics of the beer.A fun way to try different varieties.“
“I've been to a lot of tasting rooms, and was very impressed how this one was set up. When ordering a flight, you're given printed tasting notes for each of the beers, arranged in a suggested tasting order. Great selection to choose from (including products suitable for people with gluten issues, like my wife!)“

Not only did I get to capture the brewery's unique essence through drone photography and a 360° virtual tour, but co-owner Isaiah also gave me a personal tour of the space.It was interesting hearing about how he and his friends' passion for freediving and spearfishing inspired the brewery's name and aesthetics. “We had a fantastic flight of beers at Ile Sauvage. Incredible Lunar Lager, it might be my new favorite. Light, refreshing with a crisp, clean finish. Just enough hop so you know it's Craft. Also loved the Tropique sour, this would be perfect on a hot day sitting around the pool.Exceptionally knowledgeable staff. Overall a great experience!
