Went for lunch today with a friend and had a very enjoyable time! Didn't feel rushed and the service was excellent - thanks Josh! I enjoyed the 5 Spiced Prawn Salad (starter size - $16) - I felt it was enough quantity for my lunch! It was delicious - the prawns were so tasty! The salad was fresh and the candied pecans, mandarin pieces, fresh avocado, and lemon-thyme vinaigrette went well with the prawns. Might be the best burger I've eaten. A bit messy but the patty was cooked perfectly and there was thick cut bacon in every bite . Upgraded to the bistro salad which was delicious. Server was very friendly and the atmosphere

I had the braised pork belly with polenta and black kale as an appetizer. The main course was duck confit which was good but only came with par boiled rice. Dessert was excellent. It was sticky toffee pudding but a little too much sugar. Overall I recommend this restaurant as a quaint little getaway in the heart of Royal Oak.
