“Great hidden cafe/restaurant that is walking distance from Braid Skytrain station. I’m fortunate to live a short 10 minute walk away from Babs, so I usually stop by 1-2x a week for their delicious breakfast and Korean food.

The front of house staff member/manager (i think her name is Jane?) is really nice as well! 10/10 recommend Babs for those who live a short walk or drive away :)“

“While touring the area and sightseeing around the Fraser River, we found this lovely little café nearby. The soup and wraps were absolutely delicious. The chef was very courteous and friendly and even took the time to come out and explain the special ingredients he adds to his wraps, which are made fresh daily. That personal touch made the experience feel even more welcoming.
The server was also very friendly and attentive, checking back to make sure everything was okay despite how busy the café was.
The coffee, food to dessert was delicious, the service was fast, and the overall experience was wonderful. We’re so glad we stopped in and would definitely visit again.

“Best scone I’ve had ever. Americano with honey was fresh hot and delicious. Worker skipped the tip option which is unheard of but I asked her to add a tip. Menu includes salads as well. Wonderful friendly“

“I was in New West for a meeting, so after I was hungry. I had a choice, it was either McDonald's or across the street Jim's Cafe. I decided to give Jim's a try,and I'm sure glad I did. The atmosphere was great, service was wonderful and the food was just great!! To bad I live in North Vancouver, otherwise I would be at Jim's almost everyday. But I'll be there, for sure, next time I'm in New Westminster!! See you then!!!“

“This was our first visit and we immediately fell in love with this cafe. From the beautifully decorated interior and art pieces to the music, the staff, and the overall vibe — everything about this place feels special and thoughtfully put together.

I ordered the hojicha latte while my husband had a drip coffee. The hojicha latte was hand-whipped and incredibly aromatic — I could actually smell the roasted tea fragrance before taking the first sip. My husband said the drip coffee was excellent as well.

We also found out that the cafe turns into a bar at night and hosts all kinds of events like open mic nights and magic shows, which makes the place even more interesting.

Such a fun and unique spot. Definitely somewhere I’d love to come back to and explore more.“

“We visited ChaiWala of London New Westminster with a group of four and had a very pleasant experience. The place feels fairly new, clean, bright, and modern with a nice atmosphere. The overall environment was calm and enjoyable. We ordered some light food, including toast, which was quite tasty. I especially recommend their milky tea.

The only small downside was that the music was a bit loud at times, so we had to raise our voices while talking. Overall, we were satisfied and would consider coming back again.“

Great coffee and tea selection delivered to location on time and with all needed accompaniment (cups, lids sweeteners, creamer/milk/stir sticks). The coffee stayed fresh and hot in their big container for the full 2 hour event plus setup and takedown time. Staff was lovely when delivering and arranging as well. Really took the labour out of a tea and coffee service for us on a very emotional day. Highly recommend! Maria was amazing!“

“Hidden Gem 💎!!! Michelin star worthy deliciousness. Tried the Mulukia with lamb and injera bread which was gobsmackingly delicious. So flavourful and interactive being able to use the injera bread as your utensil to pick up the lamb stew with jute leaves. Comes with a healthy salad and refreshingly spicy peanut sauce too. Mom and pop shop with excellent down to earth service. Can’t wait to return. Food is made fresh to order so it’s not fast food… but it’s worth the wait. The place has character, if you go in person, you’ll see what I mean.“
