“The Black Bean has great coffee, kind service and chillin' atmosphere. Location couldn't be better; nestled in lower Gibsons in a trendy neighborhood with fantastic views. The prices are fair and the food is good.Parking: A very tight, little street with only a few spots in front. Best to walk up if possible“

“I just can’t help but gush about my absolute favorite bakery in Gibsons! From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in the warmest and coziest atmosphere, making it feel like a home away from home. Every visit is like a delightful escape into a world of heavenly aromas and comforting ambiance. And the owners are always very kind and friendly, absolutely wonderful people. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show – the food! Every bite is a taste of perfection. The banana walnut muffin is a heavenly treat, the croissants are buttery and flaky, and the almond croissants are simply divine. And the lentil bisque? It’s out of this world! Especially with a slice of their amazing ciabatta bread.I must confess, I have a weakness for everything they make. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality shine through in every bite. And let’s not forget about their coffee – it’s a magical potion that adds an extra layer of joy to my day.I wholeheartedly recommend this bakery to everyone I know. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Gibsons, you simply must pay them a visit. I promise you, it’s not just a bakery; it’s a haven of happiness, a place where your taste buds dance, and your heart feels right at home.“

Sandy's Bake Shoppe Bakery • $
292 Gower Point Rd, Gibsons

“It’s unfortunate to read so many mediocre reviews.I would agree with others the storefront is very small but that didn’t change the ability to spend a few minutes in reviewing what was available. Our service was good. The staff said hello, and had a couple recommendations to what was good in the bakery. The bar with shortbread, caramel and milk chocolate was to die for. I would drive the 40 minutes just to eat that again. The date and apple bar was good but I would suggest forgoing the apple. Then it would be delicious. It was put together well, and definitely fresh.I would recommend this bakery to anyone!“

Crazy Red's Breads Bakery • $$
473 Gower Point Rd #4, Gibsons

“I always look forward to my visits to Crazy Reds. Fabulous bakery and amazingly friendly staff. I have a sensitivity to flours and grains but the Westcoast Alpine bread never disappoints and is a staple in our house. We were overjoyed by Cam’s willingness to prepare a small patch of toast points for us and look forward to experimenting with all the other delicious and interesting breads! Thanks for all you do!“

Wheatberries Bakery Bakery • $
818 Gibsons Way, Gibsons

“Great pizza! We moved to the Coast in 2019 from the NY area. I'm from Montreal so good pizza was part of life. We've tried so many pizzas on the Coast, in North Vancouver and Vancouver and we've been consistently disappointed, Pizza is not on Wheatberries' menu but Gino, the owner, showed me a pizza he had made on special request. So I specially requested... We are loving it. The garlic, onions, peppers and mushrooms were all sautéed to perfection. When we ask for sautéed mushrooms anywhere else they look at me like I'm from Pluto. Dry mushrooms taste like cardboard. Gino apologized that he doesn't have a pizza oven but the crust was great anyway. The tomato sauce is homemade and way better than the red substance on the other pizzas. Well...we are already reserving for Super Bowl Sunday but we'll be requesting a lot before then. PS I am upgrading my previous review. The coffee has been consistently good lately and the music has improved: classic rock, jazz...the old Lawrence Welklike music is long gone.“
