We stopped in for a light lunch and had great sandwiches that were loaded with fillings on fabulous whole wheat bread. Bread was fresh & soft with a chewy crust. Hubby had a sausage roll as well that was warmed up and very tasty and the brownie was huge and chocolatey. Friendly and accommodating service. Would definitely return!

I went on Sunday! Such good food and happy staff!!

Kid-friendliness: I had my 2 sons with me and the girl at the front was so sweet to them (asking what they wanted, smiling, complementing them). She also grabbed us a high chair for my youngest

We loved our visit to Bowen Island’s village bakery. The coffee is great and such a plus that they serve oat milk. Friendly staff and great sweet treats too ??‍?

Very relaxing pitstop during a hike through town coming down from the Artisan Plaza! Kind staff! The curry pastry was interesting but delicious!

Saddest and thinnest little BLT sandwich I’ve ever seen; it was basically just a toast with a few slices of the ingredients. The slice of lettuce inside it was wilted from being heated in the panini press. It was $12.The minestrone soup was okay but was clearly from a can (at least it tasted that way). Came with a grilled cheese which was also just okay, it was made with low quality cheese so nothing exciting. This was $14.Then you feel silly when you tipped 18% up-front only to have to keep track of your items yourself. They just put your items out on a table and you have to go fetch it yourself, they don’t even call your name so you just have to run over there and hope nobody else ordered the same. All of our items were packaged as if we were having them to-go, but I never said we were, and they never asked. On the contrary we settled in with our toddler in a high-chair and everything - it was pretty obvious we intended to eat there. Not the most expensive place but it seemed pricey for what it was.Not a good value for your $$$

Stopped into this place for a healthy bite after arriving on Bowen. The staff acted like I was wasting her time, and after waiting over 5 minutes for a heated pastry, she was sitting in the back on her phone....when I poked my head in, she retrieved my soggy pastry and THREW it at me. Beeyatch - owners: let this one go. Long braids and bad attitude.

My first time on bowen Island and I decided to try this quaint little Cafe, hoping for some of that small town island charm I have heard so much about. The woman working seemed almost bothered that we were there and was quite rude. I ordered bacon and eggs and asked for my eggs over easy. She said no to my surprise I heard the beeping of a microwave in the back. They have other foods in the display that im sure were made else where as they did not look microwaved. Not a great experience , I will never return to this island again.

A well-kept secret that I need to share! The bakery has yummy fresh baked goods, and we had a lovely breakfast of eggs and bacon and breakfast sandwich. Bon appétit!

I do not recommend going to this bakery when visiting Bowen Island. My latte tasted burnt and the milk was improperly frothed. The staff working there were neither friendly nor properly trained. Zero allure other than being centrally located.

Food is delicious, and most items made in-house.
