The setting outside is lush and cool after a day of sunny hiking. I hade the mushroom ravioli, which was excellent! The staff seemed a little frazzled. All in all, a nice dinner experience

We stopped here for dinner as part of a Bowen Island Dinner Boat Tour with Vancouver Water Adventures. I had the vegan mozzarella on the margarita. It was so fresh with sun-dried tomatoes and basil and was really filling. The setting was lovely outside and the restaurant had a really good atmosphere. It was busy on a Friday night so would probably advise making a reservation.

Incredible Handmade Pastas and Delicious Pizzas! Staff was fantastic! Must visit when you are on Bowen Island! ❤️

Good place to sit and enjoy a warm evening but do make reservations. They have vegan mozzarella available which is good on the Nuevo vegetariano without feta.

Service is very, very slow (ordering takes a while, food takes forever and sometimes it takes a long time to pay the bill), but when the food arrives it is very good food.

I made a reservation for an early Sunday summer dinner. This is a very busy spot so book ahead to avoid disappointment. We had the table right next to the host stand and it was a fantastic experience. The patio has a fantastic vibe and ambience, the service was outstanding, and so was the food; we tried appies, pasta and dessert. We came at the end of the first rush so we waited a little long for our food but we had expected that. The only miss for me is having only 1 bathroom for such a big and busy summer spot.

Vegetarian pizza with vegan cheese was delish! There are a few other veg options too (e.g. wild mushroom and margherita)

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary there. Maybe thinking it would be a bit more romantic

I went to Tuscany Restaurant with three friends to help celebrate my friends birthday. The atmosphere was really beautiful. We had a reservation and were seated right away on the patio which is lovely! Unfortunately it went downhill pretty quick after that. We didn’t get greeted or brought water for about 30 minutes. The table sat just before us was already on their first course while we were still waiting to be seen. Finally someone came over and gave us water and took drink orders. We asked if we could order everything because we were really hungry at that point. Once again we waited and waited and finally we see our appies come out. Unfortunately the food runner went to almost every other table on the patio except for ours which she walked past multiple times. We even told her that those were most likely ours but we still didn’t receive them. At this point we hadn’t even received our drinks which were 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of wine. While the food runner stood with our food in their hands our waiter finally returned with our drinks and still did not mention to the food runner that the food was ours until my friend actually had to say “please go help her”. The appies were delicious! Although they did not know that because there was no quality check. My friends enjoyed their mains. Mine was ok. I had the bolognese with 3 meats but there was barely any meat or sauce or flavour at all. We wanted to stay for dessert but by this time the restaurant was pretty much closed so we left. It’s unfortunate because this restaurant has a lot of potential but the service definitely needs improvement. I am a server myself and I understand some hiccups or being flustered if it were busy but it was not busy. Not the birthday dinner we were hoping for.

TLDR: - Margherita pizza with daiya mozzarella and focaccia are the vegan options - Crust and sauce were delicious - Servers do not seem super trained in what is vegan and what isn’t, which is totally okay, but do trust your instincts and you may need to really affirm you want a vegan option, and even then, be prepared to have to send it back despite feeling embarrassed ): - Really nice ambiance, good wine list, super sweet and friendly host (Thank you Paris for being so kind!) — We didn’t see anything online about a vegan option except for on here. That is a red flag usually. The in-person menu does say “ask about our vegan and gluten free options”. The options are: focaccia and a Margherita pizza sub vegan mozzarella. I like bread, so no problem there. We weren’t greeted by the server for a long time (which is totally okay, I am a server and know things get busy). When we were, I tried to order the Margherita pizza with vegan cheese and explained I was vegan and made sure it would be okay. He said “should be fine” not very convincingly. Again, totally okay. I expect coming to a non vegan restaurant for it to be a bit iffy. Calculated risk. Hungry. We got the focaccia to start. He took our drink order and came back. We ordered our mains again and I made it clear I wanted the vegan pizza again. He wrote it on a notepad and audibly said “okay, vegan!” Long story short, the focaccia was yummy, but when my partner and I got our pizzas my Margherita came out with none of the toppings listed.. (no tomatoes or basil).. and very clearly looked too good to be vegan cheese. I hate, hate sending things back because again I work in the industry but I couldn’t eat it. He also didn’t check in with us for a while and I had to flag him down to shyly ask “is this vegan? I’m sorry.” He wasn’t sure, took it away and came back and explained it wasn’t, and confirmed that none of the toppings were on it. I waited a while to be able to get a new one. I knew it was daiya mozzarella, and the crust and the sauce were delicious. My partner is not vegan, and their pizza was perfect and they were super happy with it. Keep in mind the pizzas are *tiny* and for a vegan one you will spend minimum $27 because of the upgrade. But worth it for the ambiance and location to the ferry!

Food was decent for a restaurant that is in a small town, the sauce with the chicken and peeta was nice.

Looking forward to a nice meal, was sat by the door and orderd a glass of wine and gnocchi. then table of 6 or 8 sat down beside me and there volume was ear piercing. I ask for my dinner to go so they tried to move me downstairs to a small space where I feel would just be joining the next table over ,I sat at the bar waiting for my dinner, it came to stay of course, I did my best to enjoy it amongst a now screaming child directly behind me .it didn't take me long to eat my appetizer portion of gnocchi ( I'm not kidding maybe 10 to12 pieces, had a wet flour taste, the sauce was nice but it couldn't quite cover the taste ) I was so disappointed when I left and still so hungry.
I would hope this was a one off

The food was delicious and it seemed to be made with local ingredients. If you can’t decide on what pizza to get, you can get a large and do half-half. We thought that the Tuscany and Bella Funghi combination was incredible.
