Nice place to try authentic Korean food (BBQ and Hotpot), the servers are very friendly and kindly switch the table for us as we don't want to sit at the hallway. The foods are very tasty and fresh, and the prices are pretty fair to be honest. Actually we think Hotpot is even more worth than BBQ in terms of quantity and price. Their lunch special is a pretty good deal for less than $20 for a set.

If we can give ZERO STAR, we will. The service was really bad, the waitress put us in a very small table at the farthest back of the restaurant. When I asked to switch to a bigger table, the waitress replied unhappily saying that the other table seats 6 people but we were just 2. Actually the entire restaurant was empty and it was weekday, no customer at all. One of the dishes we ordered was Marinated Kalbi Short Rib, the quality of the meat was very chewy and poor, the meat could not even cut open with the scissors. We BBQ first half portion of the meat and the meat was full of tendons and all of them are uneatable, so we asked the waitress to return all the uncooked meat to the kitchen and wanted to reorder a different type of meat. But the waitress said that I had to take it home and of course had to pay for it even though we cannot and did not eat any of the meat. I asked to talk with the manager and she said that the manager was not here. My entire meal was ruined and also my appetite. I had to argue with the waitress and finally the waitress took back the uncooked meat and let us exchange for different type of meat. In exchange, she gave us just a small portion of tiny cut up meat, less than half a portion, but the waitress claimed it's a full portion. On the final bill, I still had to pay for the full portion amount $44.95 for the marinated Kalbi Short Rib. It's a rip off and was extremely bad. We will NOT go back again to this Arisu Authentic Korean BBQ located at 7328 Edmonds St., Burnaby. Poor quality of meat, poor service. The prices were very expensive and the portion was really really small. Two of us were NOT full after spending almost $80 before tips. I did not give tips because we were not happy and we did not enjoy the meal.

Modern atmosphere with delicious food. I recommend the bulgogi, it’s fantastic that we ordered another plate of it on top of our combo. Also I want to clarify that all the combos DO come with rice and sides as someone reviewed saying it didn’t. The sides are bottomless so just ask for more. Will come back here and recommend!

Ordered the BBQ arisu combo b and spicy squid and pork belly. Our party was 6 people and it was enough. Teenagers loved it. Unlimited side dishes which were kimchi, radish, broccoli, potatoes.

It should be rated much higher on google. Great dining experience with friends or family, the staff are fantastic and very helpful. The food was well prepared and delicious. Highly recommend, and fun if you enjoy cooking.
Overall, everything was good, only downside as they ran out of those potato side dishes (my fave).

When it comes to meat, it's definitely Arisu. The meat is so savory that it melts gently. I think I took 100 photos because the plating was so luxurious and meticulous. Other than that, the single items were clean and delicious, and the staff was very friendly, which impressed me.

Everything is delicious but they are too expensive compared to the other restaurants of equal and greater quality. 1) menu prices on the website need to be updated to reflect the menu on-site. 2) they do not give rice or ssam with combos, which seems weird as you’re spending over $100. The least they can do is give some damn lettuce! 3) the portions are actually fair and banchan is unlimited, but some servers get an attitude when you ask for refills.All in all, I would be back but it’s not my first choice.
