Skipped the namesake Bún Riêu and ordered the Cơm Tấm Sườn Bò instead. The beef came out with a few burnt edges, the plate was greasier than I’d like, and the complimentary soup was overly salty. Service was friendly, and I’ve heard good things about their Bún Riêu, so I might give them a second chance—but this dish missed the mark for me.

As per their name, this place specializes in their bun rieu and bun cha. The bun cha has solid dill flavour while still being clean and clear in its broth while the bun rieu offers a solid rich crab taste. Would recommend overall if you are just craving some solid pho.

This Burnaby spot serves up comfort in a bowl – particularly the bun rieu. Ordered that and the grilled pork broken rice; generous portions and service as warm as the broth. Prepare for a happy food coma
