Tried the chicken samosas, terrible. They were clearly fried more than once. Tasted old, these were overdone and dry. The flavour was good, but the pastry was very thick and the hard as a rock. I was left with a mouthful of oil. Great service and good atmosphere. Friendly staff.

I went to grab jelebi from here and I asked the girl at the counter if they were fresh and she said yes. There was a tray behind her but she insisted she get the jelebi from the glass display. I asked her again if they were fresh and made today and she said yes. I explained I'm taking this as a gift to San Francisco. And she insisted they were fresh. I bought an additional smaller box for guests that were coming over later in the evening and they ate it and it was chewy and hard!! You literally can taste the old oil they cooked them in and the quality was nasty! I'm so upset that right in my face when I asked her, she said they were fresh..now I'm wondering why she didn't give the ones that were in the tray behind her. I'll NEVER ever go there again they have fully lost my business. I don't know how to gift them to my family in California now and they are so looking forward to it too.

Went to get Jalebi on the day of Dusshera, I thought they would have something special on this day. Realised that the jalebi was cooked in mustard oil and it was smelling so bad because of that strong smell of mustard. Like who cooks jalebi in mustard oil?
It was so sugary as if they undercooked it and straight away put it in the sugar syrup pool. Worst jalebi ever had.

What has happened to this place? The chicken samosas were too salty with
absolutely no flavor or spice profile. The vegetable samosas were a ball of boiled potatoes. The cherry on top of the abysmal food is the attitude of the front desk personnel, and they expect to be tipped on a take out? Never setting foot again after being a long time customer.

The bottom line: Very expensive for what you get. You get little overall.
I even tipped, because I want to support local business. That was a mistake.
The young man who took my payment was impatient and gave very little information. He just didn’t feel like being very helpful to me I guess. That’s ok though: lesson learned.
The portion of lamb in the regular size curry was very small. It was two mouthfuls of meat swimming in a bowl of sauce. When you bring it home and are so disappointed after that weird service: I’d consider this as a rude gesture. They must know how little they put in. 6 tiny pieces. Each one about a tablespoon sized. Maybe two ounces of meat. After that tip? Come on guys.
The taste is good, they cook well, and I’ve had it many times, but when you get such a tiny amount for your money it feels like a rip off.
The other dish was a decent portion and quite tasty but it was veggie and that’s cheap to make anyway. Naan was good. It’s naan though. Glad I ordered it to fill the gaps.
Sadly I won’t be going back even though it’s in my neighborhood and I love Indian food.
I’ll just go down the block or across the street.
It’s a shame because their samosas are very nice but I just can’t be bothered to risk this sort of disappointment anymore.

Placed order on Uber eats. Cancelled order because I put in wrong adress. Uber informed me they would not refund me as the restaurant would get the money because they were in the process of making it. This was within 2-3 minutes of placing the initial order. I called the restaurant and asked if I could just pick the food up as the restaurant would still be in the process of making the food. The restaurant informed me that one of my items was ready and another about to come out of the kitchen but if I wanted the order I would have to pay for it. When I explained what Uber had said, and that the restaurant had recieved the money, I offered to pick it up. The manager then told me to wait as she would ask her boss. She called me back and again told me I can come and pick up my order no problem, but I would have to pay for it again.I called Uber and explained them this new development, they spent over 10 minutes in the phone with the restaurant trying to resolve it. The restaurant flat out refused to make the order and not allow pick up with out payment.I’m still waiting on the refund from Uber as the restaurant took money from me for food they refused to make, and refused to let me pick up. I think very unfair for a restaurant that’s been around for so long and even when I had offered to pick up the order myself after they had acknowledged they recieved payment.Shame on you Baba Sweets.
