We came here to have a nice dinner with the family and ordered the plater for 2. The meat selection was good , rice was not cooked well and very bland. They don’t have the side salad any longer so the food felt quite heavy.. only carbs and protein. The best part was the bread. Service very minimal. The water tasted like it came from an old faucet, with no ice. Yuck!! Also they raised the price over $10 and no salad. We left disappointed..,, sorry my Balkan friends. Need to do better.

We went here 10 years ago and wife wanted to go back for nostalgia's sake. Wish we didn't, I don't recall it being great then, and has gone downhill from what little it had before.

The food was bland and unseasoned. They completely missed my entree so I had a bit of the platter that was being shared with the grandparents - very unappealing, the food and atmosphere were like a European old folks home. Service was mediocre (even with my missed entree). We won't be back.

Extraordinary food with very good portion size and marvelous taste!! The fact that it wasn't busy when we went, helped us enjoy the ambience and the food even more!

I was looking for a good Balkan Place in Vancouver and this one hit the spot. Plenty of space, the inside reminds me of old restaurants in Europe. Lots of meat (platter for 1 is probably enough for two). Quick service. I will be back!

Mega huge portions. A platter for 2 was enough for 4, and lasted is 3 meals

This place is quite the hidden gem! A but discerning on the outside, classic & comforting wood grain on the inside! For all the numerous Sushi, Korean, Pho, Greek, Mexican, Chinese, etc. restaurants around, simple Balkan cuisine was a plesant change of pace.
The bread was baked fresh, served with olives and entire wedges of feta cheese! The calamari was light, crispy, and not greasy at all. The meat was well seasoned, cooked well, and included homemade sausage. It was a bit light on the veggies, the meat being served with mashed potatoes & rice, so I might recommend a side salad to start.
If I had to describe the cuisine, I'd say it's a cross between Greek & German.

We went at a likely slow point (830 pm on a Tuesday) so the diningbroom was nearly completely empty... so we got great service directly from the owner/manager.
I'd imagine it probably be a bit busier around the dinner rush, or at least it deserves to be.

Simple? Yes. Delicious? Also yes! Worth going back? Absolutely!!!

We were with a large number of people, and we were still served in good time.

Homey vibe. Good food (especially for meat eaters).
