Their coffee roaster stinks up the whole community centre with the smell of burnt coffee. I don’t know if there’s a ventilation issue or what’s going on, but it’sso overpowering that it’s nauseating and ruins the gym experience for me. My son has asked that I book his classes at a different location because he can’t stand the smell either.
The food and drinks aren’t great either. Though it could be that the smell affects the eating experience.

Ordered a carrot cake with a London fog (no sugar). The carrot cake was old and stale and dry. My drink was so sweet, tasted like syrup. I told them I didn’t want the carrot cake and asked how old it was. I am pregnant they just looked at me and threw out the cake, no offer to substitute just turned around and continued her day. So disappointed I didn’t even have the heart to tell her she also made my drink incorrectly. $15 spent, nothing ate or drank.

I went in recently and noticed the male staffs have a very dismissive attitude towards their customers. Not just towards me, but when I was waiting for my drink & food, I consistently saw one of them giving looks and making faces at customer asking for very simple things such as an extra fork or some cream in their coffee on the side. Frankly I think that is unacceptable and customers shouldn’t be looked down or felt dismissed for a small, simple request, especially at a community centre.

The food is decent for the price though. Would skip on drink personally.

I wanted to share some honest feedback about my recent visit. The customer service felt dismissive — almost like I was bothering the staff for simple requests. I asked for an extra straw and got attitude, and when I ordered a mocha (almost $9), I specifically asked for it extra hot. It was served lukewarm, and when I politely asked if it could be reheated or steamed more, I was told no.

On top of that, charging 25 cents for a paper fork felt unreasonable, especially given the overall attitude toward customers. The experience made it clear that customer satisfaction isn't a priority, which is disappointing.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because it genuinely felt like we weren’t welcome.

Enjoyed the Caprese Sandwich.

The matcha is kind of dull in colour and has an odd flavour there is no strawberry flavour which sucks since I paid almost 8$ for something subpar. The place itself is fine, loud since there is a lot of children but pretty, the staff are nice

Coffee joint inside Sinclair community. I chill here whenever my son is hooping. Coffees, cookies and lemon loafs are good. Haven’t tried their hot foods yet but they seemed a little pricey. Young and friendly staff.

Not too often I give negative reviews, but nothing was good about today’s experience. Really wanted the grilled cheese sandwich- but it was “sold out” said the unfriendly cashier/order taker. I said “let me put a post-it note on the sandwich board for you because it was really disappointing when I could not repeat anything else because of my sugar levels. He said “no” and nothing else. Hmm. Then the older looking guy who looks like the manager type says “the kitchen is busy”. Hmm which is kind a conflicting if you think about it. Sold out without saying “…but if you wait…” would resolve the conflict. However the manager type guy just glared at me as if I did something wrong, like “how dare you question us?’. Very, very unpleasant. So I just ordered a matcha latte. It was literally warm. Like warmed milk poured over a syrup. I did not feel like being “glared at” by asking them to steam the latte more. Too bad - zero if I could, on service, zero on food (did not even get to try it) and zero on anything else redeeming. Too bad they have a monopoly here at Sinclair centre as a bit of competition may actually make them try a tad harder to do business.

Bastion Coffee + Kitchen is a hidden gem inside a community centre, making it a perfect spot for parents waiting for their kids. We ordered an iced Americano and latte, and everything was above average. The space is spacious, cozy, and inviting, great for reading, relaxing, or enjoying some quiet time while your kids are playing at the centre. Definitely a great café to check out!

The gluten free caneles were absolutely delicious. A wide range of food options, some looking better than others, but nice with all the dietary options.

About what you'd expect for being inside a fitness center. The loafs are what you'd get in a zillion other places and the flat white I had was below par and lukewarm. Fine for when you are stuck in the building for awhile, but don't feel the need to go out of your way.
