Bengong’s Tea 本宫的茶 (SFU)

It was okay overall. Even after requesting 50% sugar, the drinks were still extremely sweet, and the juices tasted more like concentrated syrups than fresh juice. The lids also became very hard to pierce after sitting for a while — I had to use a knife just to get the straw through.

A bit overpriced, but solid tasting drinks!

If I had the option to give zero stars, I would. The staff displayed unprofessional behavior, including poor customer service and dismissive attitudes. My friend’s order was prepared incorrectly, and instead of remaking the drink, they attempted to remove the toppings, which was an action that could pose serious health risks if a customer had allergies.

The place also lacked basic sanitary practices. Milk that should have been refrigerated was left sitting out on the counter, the workspace was messy and unclean, and spills were not addressed, but instead laughed at and joked between the coworkers. When I asked for my drink to be resealed because the lid was not properly secured and was spilling, the staff responded with visible irritation and returned the drink by slamming it down without a word.

It was also concerning to overhear the staff questioning one another about which tea to use for a specific drink, only for one to suggest that “any tea” would be ok. Keep in mind this was done in another language and I’m assuming they didn’t know that I understood them. This demonstrates a lack of training and disregard for product quality. The drink I received appeared to be hastily thrown together without proper care or consistency.

Overall, this establishment shows a lack of professionalism, sanitation, and respect for its customers. Thinking that no one knows what they’re speaking. I strongly do not recommend this bubble tea shop.

The service was bad, the jello in my drink was not cut up, and it was so expensive for such a crappy drink ($8.35)!!! There are so many different textures in this drink and I don’t even know what half of the things inside are.

I came here to give my 1 Star review but before I did, I had a look at the other reviews. Shocking but not surprising. The owner of this franchise seriously needs to look into their procedures or hiring process. The employees are obviously not following the recipes. A 2.5 Star average rating is NOT normal.

Bought their Thai milk tea with “brown sugar pearls”
#1 the flavour of the milk tea was extremely bland when I requested 100% sugar. It tasted just as bland as my friend who order a 0% sugar peach slush.
#2 I ordered brown sugar pearls and they too were completely flavourless. Lucky for me, they were at least somewhat chewy enough for me to kind of enjoy. Would never recommend this place and will not order again.

Not sure why the other reviews are so deep but the tea cube milk tea I got was pretty good (I got oolong). It ain't that deep lol

pretty conflicted on what rating to give tbh. on one hand the drinks are actually really tasty -- flavourful, aesthetically pleasing, unique. but also it's incredibly overpriced... yeah the cups are quite large but paying $10+ for bubble tea is pretty absurd. they have no sizes; really wish i could've just bought a size small for like $5. service is also not the best, but the menu design and art is nice

Christina made me 50% boba milk tea with Oolong tea and it was really good! Also she was so incredibly nice and timely in making the drink all alone for the store front! The boba are chewy and sweet~

Yangzhi nectar is so unpleasant to drink

This boba place is honestly so mid. I really did give it a chance , I really wanted to like it even as I NEED EASY ACCESS BOBA. But even with the chances , the milk tea drinks did not hit hoollyyy, it was sooooo diluted and the toppings might as well not have been there. Like I needed to get another cup of bubble tea somewhere good to clear my mouth from that tea cube milk tea. When I had their fruit teas , I was like you can't mess this up, but they did, it was diluted af and the flavor wasn't there.

TLDR:Guys just don't come here , just ride the 143 to burquitlam and get coco , at least you will be satisfied even if it too more time.
