So happy with the delicious Black Forest cake we ordered for a birthday. Super fresh, the cake was soaked in a light cherry syrup which you found never find from a grocery store. Will definitely order future cakes from this neighbourhood gem.

You are acknowledged immediately by staff even if they are busy! Unheard of at almost every other place of business I've ever been to. I traveled 45 mins from richmond for a birthday cake 🎂 and was so interested in the display of sweets I just had to ask for a recommendation of something else to go home with! Delicious and beautiful treats galore! 🥰

I’m just a big fan of this bakery. The delivery drivers over the years (about 30)were always on time and very friendly. There was Leo who was always in a great mood and then jack( ?) who did play the piano and the accordion at my restaurant once in a while and sometimes even the owner Paolo checked, if customers were happy. On many occasions he developed products specially for us. Lately Paulo’s son makes deliveries and some of my customers and staff even think that he’s very cute. 100 stars if that was possible.

The strawberry shortcake for our Goddaughter’s confirmation was soft, moist, and had just the right amount of sweetness. The frosting was creamy, not too heavy, which balanced well with the sponge. Overall, it was delicious and satisfying — perfect for any occasion!
Unfortunately the pastries and the biscotti were unfresh and stale. Disappointing. But the prices are much lower than other bakeries.

I usually go to the bonbon bakery to buy the St.Honore cake but I won't lie the past few times have been very disappointing. The tube that is supposed to be full of cream was empty in a few spots and the cake does not taste fresh. I feel as though the bakery may be baking the cakes in advance and chilling them in their refrigerator for later use. The cake does not taste good and they're putting some type of syrup on the cake to make it moist which leads me to believe that I'm right about them baking these cakes in advance. This cake originally does not have a syrup its supposed to be light and fluffy. I know this because I have been ordering this cake for over 40 years. I really hope they're not doing this because they are not cheap cakes and the quality seems to be going down. The one I had the other day was soggy and wet and was dripping the syrup out of it. This is not good bon bon bakery please stop doing this.
