I usually get boba 🧋 milk tea and lemon coke from this spot. But I was very disappointed and angry with their cup art today. My boyfriend and I (we are both of mixed European and indigenous ancestry) enjoy visiting Metrotown every so often to shop and eat. We always buy drinks/food from bubble waffle cafe and the Togo sushi and share our cuisines. Today we were so extremely upset with the discriminatory labels we were given on our drinks. The term “Indian” and “Eskimo” are extremely disrespectful and outdated terms that are not acceptable to use in this day and age. Safe to say this tainted our entire previous experience with the cafe. And we will not be coming back to support the company ever again. The most unfortunate thing was when we went to return our food trays, we looked around, where many other people with the same cups as us but instead they had Asian writing and art (anime) on their cups. We were stumped by the whole experience. Especially since we seemed to have the only labels in our area of the food court. I hope they get rid of the labels and understand the remarks that we have to share. This was extremely emotionally hurtful to us. And just outright disrespectful.

I was here on Aug 31 at about 1:55pm. The young woman at the cash register was quite unpleasant. No hello or acknowledgement whatsoever. She just took my order sheet out of my hands, which I filled out to make it easier for her. The only time she even looked or said anything to me was when she instructed me to put away the pencil in a little box on the counter, within her arms reach. I have no problem putting it away but its the way she said it (tone and facial expression) as if im rude and uncivilized to try to hand her the pencil along with my order sheet. Look I get it. It's a food court stall. I dont expect much customer service. A smile or asking politely that i put the pencil away for her would have been appreciated. I wont be going to that stall again.

Most insane, hostile, and crazy customer service I’ve ever experienced.

I placed an order through their app. The app showed that it didn’t go through, so I submitted the exact same order again. Later, I saw that both went through. I immediately called the restaurant to explain there was clearly a glitch and asked to cancel one of them.

The woman on the phone instantly started blaming me, saying, “The food is already made. Why didn’t you call earlier?”. I explained again that the app had a glitch, and she snapped, “No one else has this problem.” I told her I’ve never had it either. How is that even relevant?

After some back and forth, she finally agreed to refund the duplicate and said it could take a few days. I was fine with that. But then out of nowhere, she asked if I was keeping the second drink. I said no, it was already part of the first order.

Then things went completely off the rails. She literally said, “No one would even order the kind of drink you ordered,” followed by, “So you want to waste food?” Literally, what the hell. She kept saying it’s my problem, that I should admit it’s my fault. She just kept yelling and going off. Full-on gaslighting.

I said, “Excuse me, no one talks to a customer like this.” And her response? “Oh yeah? First time hearing that?”

As of now, I still don’t know if I’m actually getting the refund she said she’d process TONIGHT. Avoid this place. Zero accountability, insane attitude, and some of the worst treatment I’ve ever had as a customer.

What can I say with this place. Well first of all the atmosphere of this store is unpleasant! Why first they'll get your order with a fake hi. Then once and done servicing they give you an attitude of get lost!! This afternoon, my son and I went at Bubble waffle cafe at Metrotown Mall. Our experience is very unpleasant because of the attitude of the server! My son ask for a cup water, well the guy was asking questions if he buy something from them, do you have a bottle water to put the water and etc. I went to see what's going and there that's what's happening asking why? This man refusing to give a cup of water to a child!! A cup of water from the fauset is free of charge! Especially a child asking for a water and refusing not giving it. Why why asking so much question for a cup of water!! It's free water from the fauset that my son is asking only. I never encountered a place or fast food kiosk refusing a water to a child!! Food here, nah!! There's nothing Wow 😲 or amazing about this place! Just over and over food. I had shrimp wonton soup, not to recommend them at all, why it tasted spoiled and been sitting in the fridge. The taste was slimey and smelly. If you want a wonton Go to TNT market they have a better wonton soup! Then the chicken nuggets with rice are so dry!! The chicken tasted so old and not even close to what other Chinese chicken nuggets I had. For this place refusing a cup of water is so inhumane!! WATER IS FREE From The FAUSET!! Do better Bubble Waffle cafe Metrotown!

Not sure if the Chinese-speaking cashier lady is the owner or an employee. Either way, she looks like she really hates her job and customer serving. Food is terrible too, but not as bad as the lady’s attitude.

I ordered a strawberry bubble tea and it was horrible! The taste was extremely artificial, the tapioca was soggy and tasted like they were very old and the color off-putting. Stay away!

I asked for fresh bubble waffle the second i pay it comes to my hand . Bubble waffle management , fresh means when the order is placed you make the food item . Why is this such a difficult concept for you and your team members to understand.

Okay, I might sound racist, but I'm JUST telling you my experience. When I went to order the woman who was taking my order didn't really understand much English and when I told her what I want, I had a few questions about their menu, she couldn't understand so I had to repeat myself multiple times which is totally fine.

When they called my number I wasn't sure if it's mine because their accent was actually really thick and heavy and I really had to like pay close attention to understand what they're saying. When I asked if it's my order, they started making faces honestly, it just made them look cheap and unprofessional. Sometimes people are so ignorant to actually think, learn or adapt.

The service in this restaurant is terrible. The waiter will yell at customer. This is the worst service I have encountered in Vancouver in the past 10 years, no doubt about it.
