Good food. Shady staff.
Me and my friend went there a few days ago and my friend ended up losing two 50 dollar bills from his pocket. As soon as we got home, he called the Bubble World in Metrotown and asked the lady that picked up if they found anything. She replied over the phone that there was a customer setting in the place he mentioned and that she couldn’t do a search at that time and that he should come latter.
I suggested my friend to go there immediately and try to backtrack through where we walked.
He got to the restaurant and asked again (the same or another server) and she was basically blocking him to get near the table.
Then the customer that was in our previous table stands up and says: Was it a 50 dollar bill? She has it. Pointing to one of the servers that was there. The server’s face went pale.
My friend went to the customer which complemented: she came to me and asked if those 50 dollar bills was mine. I said it wasn’t and she took the money away.
Now I ask. Why? We gave good tips. The food is not bad. Why being so shady about this?

Used to be a great late nights eats spot but now they always close early (even earlier than advertised - the hours say 1130pm, they cancelled my order at 1045 and wouldn’t pick up the phone)… useless
I have order an uber eat, but the beef is totally not enough, not worth for 20cad

NOT RECOMMENDED.
I ordered Chicken Plum Sauce with Rice. There were plenty of pieces. It was all in room temperature. The chicken at the bottom of the pile were COLD. I asked for it to be reheated. The temperature remained the same. Room temperature and cool at the bottom this time. The sauce was awful. Also in room temperature.
They were also understaffed.
I'm disappointed and will not come to this location anymore.

I remember back in the college days this place was bumping. I guess with all the competition around the bar has raised higher when it comes to bubble tea joints.
It's still a good pass. But I rather go down the street to Myst cafe instead...

Bubble World branches are all around Vancouver, and this was my very first time eating at one, even though I’ve seen this establishment all my life! The branch in Burnaby (a brief walk away from Crystal Mall and accessible by transit) is a little older, with some areas of the restaurant that could do with a little touching up. Regardless, a good range of seating is available, and the interior doesn’t drastically or negatively affect the dining experience. Employees here were relatively nice and polite, with one usually standing close to the dining area and ready to respond to diners’ needs.
The best feature of Bubble World is 100% their drinks. I found their pearls to be just the right amount of chewy and flavourful, and the peach fruit tea was refreshing. I definitely want to order it again! My sister ordered a strawberry icecream blend with coffee jelly, which was also remarkably good :)
The Pork Chop Sandwich featured a crisp and crunchy pork katsu in the middle, along with some veggies and what seemed to be mayo. Personally, neither me or my sister are fans of mayo, and had we known it was included in the sandwich, we may have ordered something else. Unfortunately, the inclusion of mayo was not mentioned on the menu, so make sure to ask staff if you have any questions on what you’ll be ordering. I found that while the texture of the katsu was great, the flavour was lacking. Maybe I am expecting too much from a $10.95 sandwich, but I truly didn’t really taste much with the Pork Sandwich, which was a little disappointing.
My sister found that the Ham & Egg Sandwich had a little too much mayo, as it started dripping out the sandwich and onto the plate/her fingers. Besides from that, she said it was all-around alright, not the best you can find in Vancouver but good enough for its price!
The Hazelnut Toast is actually quite big in real life, and while it is undeniably delicious and chocolatey, I found it to be pretty filling. So, this may be ideal to share with 1-2 others! I really enjoyed it though, and would recommend it as a dessert for the end of your meal!
All things considered, I think Bubble World offers pretty ok, generally affordable food and drink options, with the drinks being a particular highlight! Some dishes may turn out to be more of a miss, but with the range of their menu, some dishes will also surprise you with how tasty they are. I hope to come back and try more from them :)

THANK YOU 👍
Food was pretty mediocre, pork cutlet was a bit dry. The beef noodle soup had a piece of metal from the scrub stuck to the vegetable. Service was attentive, prices a bit high for the quality of food.
