Dropped by The Butcher’s Block and had a pretty solid BBQ experience overall. The meal kicked off strong — the pulled pork was juicy and flavorful, and the belly bites were a definite standout: rich, and full of smoky goodness and a different taste from the ribs in smokiness. Their cornbread also deserves a shoutout — moist, with just the right hint of sweetness.

On the flip side, the ribs didn’t quite hit that “wow” factor. While they were good just not tender and very little meat to eat, they leaned more toward pull off the bone than the ideal fall off the bone texture. Not bad, just not memorable. The baked beans were on the plain side — basic and a bit forgettable.

One thing that definitely is worth going for? The iced tea or lemonade. Both are bottomless, generously sized, and offer great value — especially if you’re thirsty or just want to kick back for a bit in the summer heat.

Overall, a satisfying BBQ spot with some great highlights and a few areas that could use a bit more flair. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

We tried butchers block BBQ with my boyfriend but we was disappointed…

Our European side probably makes us more demanding when it comes to food, but given the reviews we expected better value for money. For us it was just a grill with simple bits of meat, not a barbecue, nothing special ... the barbecue at home is much cheaper and better quality.

We spend 70$ .
When you spend $40 to eat out, you can expect disappointment, and it happens, but when you pay $70 for a meal, you expect better.

It was the first and the last time for us .

I rarely write poor reviews, especially when the servers are very pleasant. But the food here - especially the bbq meats of all kinds - is horrible. Giving two stars would be too generous. Extremely dry, overly salty, and the pork belly was extremely fatty. The crust on the beef brisket was literally rock hard - a quarter-inch of hard core “plastic” surrounding dried out shrivelled beef was truly inedible. The pulled pork was like shreds of yarn. That said, the poutine was extremely good and great value due to the immense portion size. The BBQ beans were also really good. The bottomless lemonade and ice tea are a good deal. So, skip the meats and just enjoy the poutine and lemonade.

Great BBQ place, wish they would bring back their burgers though, only mention that because they made the best!

We made a platter of chicken, ribs and brisket. The chicken was very moist and tender, and the ribs were very tasty. The brisket was a bit dry and not as tender as other briskets I have had. They need to work on it. The sides we had - potato salad, macaroni salad, and corn bread - were very good.

The ribs were exactly what I needed. Juicy, some spice and crispy caramelized burnt bits. Hit the spot will come back

So you're thinking of getting the Carnivore Platter for $250, go for it! You probably won't be able to win the challenge of 2 people eating it in under 30 minutes...the fries on the bottom are a mega huge portion on their own!

We ordered the belly bites on the side because it doesn't come with the Carnivore Platter. Best items were the ribs, belly bites, the bbq sauce, and sausage. Chicken and fries are what you expect, good. The brisket was inconsistent...some parts were dry and hard like the crust, but some parts were spectacularly delectable...so it depends on the piece you get. The pulled pork needed some moisture since the flavour doesn't really stand out from all the very flavourable meats...maybe a peppery gravy of some sort might help.
The sides were good as expected, but the corn bread was SUPER good, I wish the butter was softer to be spreadable though.

The bottomless lemonade was refreshing and went very well with all the heavy food....it wasn't too sweet either, just right.

Great place! They accidentally gave me the pulled pork instead of the pork belly, but made me the pork belly anyways with no issue on the side . Much appreciated 🙏. I'll be back 😉

My friends and I go the platter for 4 and the starring appy. Overall the food was pretty good. The pull pork was amazing! The ribs was probably the best item hands down. The smoked grilled chicken was excellent. The beef brisket was more on the dry side and probably the weakest part of the dish. The corn bread was soft and fluffy and well baked. Definitely get their iced tea, it cuts down on the amount of grilled and fried food you are about to consume.

Delicious BBQ. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for big group catering. I ordered the block party platters for my company’s event and everyone loved it so much. Angus the person who took care of our order was friendly and accommodating. Price is reasonable.
Nothing to complain. 10/10.

Atmosphere was nice. Got the Ayce special, Sat and ate well for a few hours. Highly recommend the pulled pork, very moist and flavourful. Brisket felt a bit dry but still tasty.
