Food was very good, the cole slaw needs to be done a little differently in my opinion. But I liked the BBQ sauce, and the pulled pork was good. The Brisket didn't go as well with the BBQ sauce but both meats were tender and fairly juicy. The potato salad was good, and the Cornbread was excellent. The service was friendly, quick and welcoming.

BBQ can be hit and miss, yet Butcher Block BBQ has got their menu dialled in! One of the best little BBQ restaurants I’ve experienced in recent years! Located North Burnaby at the corner of Hastings in Gilmour. It’s a small little restaurant that packs so much power in the flavour of their food! I’ve never had french fries like I had at Butcher Block BBQ. When I tasted the french fries for the first time, I thought wow this is impressive. I bet the rest of it is just amazing.! I was right! From their pulled pork, to their beef brisket and coleslaw and even their cornbread is superlative! I’ll be visiting this little gem more often going forward. Highly recommend!

This is probably one of the best BBQ places I've been to. Went for lunch, had the brisket sandwich with baked beans and cornbread, it was such a treat. The meat was so juicy and tender and had a nice crisp crust on the outside. Will be back soon and often.

The meat tasted great though I personally think the brisket may be a tiny bit of overcooked. I am not sure if this was intended but still I really enjoyed the ribs.
Been a loyal customer in this place. Used to love beef brisket, this time experience is horrible. Try to order delivery today, Both of them are dry as wood and hard to swallow. I don’t know what happened to the restaurant for this kind of food quality, taste like from yesterday left over. Will never be back again.
