Been a loyal customer in this place. Used to love beef brisket, this time experience is horrible. Try to order delivery today, Both of them are dry as wood and hard to swallow. I don’t know what happened to the restaurant for this kind of food quality, taste like from yesterday left over. Will never be back again.

Had a large catering order for my work event. Angus was greatly accommodating and flexible. Food was more than enough to feed my coworkers. The brisket was a hit, tender and melt in your mouth. Pulled pork was delicious with melt in your mouth fatty pieces. Ribs were tasty but a bit dry to my liking, although one of my coworkers loved it so much, she took quite a bit home.
I had the worst experience here. We were the first time here, and we did not know the size of the rib. So we ordered the all you can eat, and order two full ribs. When we ordered, the waitress did not give us any notifications. After we done our meal, we had to package the rest of ribs. However, the waitress said the all you can eat has already ordered, it could not be cancelled, and we need charge additional amount of two full pack ribs plus two all you can eat. I did not understand how the system works, but their attitude is awful.

I'm quite surprised at how high their rating is. I would have to agree with many other posts.
As others have mentioned, I had their food when they once opened and its been really different since.
Ordered the beef brisket and full rack of pork ribs.
Pork ribs were OK, just be forewarned that the sauce or rub they use is a but spicy.
The brisket on the other hand was burnt and dry. I was extremely disappointed since I spent $44 on a pound of the brisket. I've had much better brisket elsewhere.
We stopped by earlier in August to try Butcher's Block Crave the Heights offering ($45). It was a platter which contained smoked beef brisket, bbq chicken, smoked pulled pork, and St. Louis side ribs along with corn bread and coleslaw.
The best thing on the platter was the tender pulled pork and I liked the flavourful skin on the chicken. The ribs were flavourful but not really tender (more gnaw off the bone as opposed to fall off the bone). Similarly, the beef brisket wasn't very tender.
We also added an order of large bbq pit beans and macaroni salad ($7.95 each). Not sure why they don't have smaller sizes of these sides available but they were actually pretty good. So too was the corn bread.
Overall, flavours were pretty good and they have a few different bbq platters you can choose from.

Ordered a meat platter with brisket and sausage. Although the service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice, the food was disappointing. Brisket was very dry, sausage tasted identical to johnsonville hot Italians, and the fries/cheese curds/gravy were cold. The amount of money we had to pay for such small amounts of meat was insane. Could tell that the meat had spent hours under a heating lamp.
I will give them the benefit of the doubt - it was a very busy night with only server and two cooks so they probably had to work ahead to prepare. I will be back for another shot!
