I came here with a friend for lunch and my first impression was I appreciated the decor, and the chalkboards! Also the waitresses were very kind. The mini flower arrangements on each table were such a nice touch ? The food was so so good, my friend and each got one of the 2-meat-platters. Generous amount of food, extremely tasty, we both left satisfied. I appreciated the variety they have on the drink menu as well. I look forward to coming back!

This is my first time at the restaurant and sadly the last, I love eating and always supports small businesses. After reading great reviews about this place and decided to try their mouth watering BBQ brisket. Ordered 1lb of brisket and it is one of the driest meat I have ever eaten in my life. Just look at the pictures attached, it even broke the wooden knife while slicing the best advertised brisket in town. The chef behind the counter ought to be ashamed of yourself for giving your customer dry cuts of meat just because they ordered takeout and will only see it after bring home.Love the service though.

Popped into Butchers Block for a late lunch. Enjoyed a combination platter of ribs, pulled pork, and brisket with beans and 'slaw. Total cost with tip was just under $100. Service was attentive but didn't anticipate any needs (ie. had to ask for butter to go with cornbread). Enjoyable experience overall.

Used to be my best barbecue spot to order and dine in. The last few times I have ordered takeout and gone into the restaurant have been super disappointing. The portions were not as what they used to be, now they are small ribs and not as tender, the brisket is dryer. The take out now usually comes Stone cold and the brisket is bone dry and the ribs are super small and dry. Very disappointed overall . I even asked the delivery person recently if the order was even hot and she said yes but was obviously a lie so not impressed.

Amazing food and great service.I highly recommend this place.
What a delicious little spot, best kept secret at the heights for carnivores. So we'll prices for what you get as well which is a great bonusParking: Lots of street parkingKid-friendliness: Casual dining environment wood chairs and tablesWheelchair accessibility: Street level entrance
Right off the bat, I have strong opinions on bbq ribs and this review will reflect that. Reference points - Joe’s in KC and Pappy’s in St. Louis. Ribs here are a tad dry and they don’t fall off the bone. No sauce options on the table, nor a dry-rub option (Memphis style). If this is the best Vancouver has to offer, I guess I won’t be eating ribs in this city again. The baked beans have pulled pork in it (which is awesome) and the small fries portion size is big. There’s free parking all over, which is another plus.

Excellent tasty Beef Brisket . Prices are high. Portions are of average size. Went in the mid-afternoon Service was mediocre. The waitress seemed disinterested in providing any level of service. I would go again based on the food.

Food is great but rather on the high side cash-wise....building is old and the restaurant is tiny only maybe 6 tables...but it seams like all the good restaurants are much like this....food was great would have given it a 3.5 but a 4 would be
