Avoid at all cost. The food is decent but it’s not worth having your day ruined by the obnoxiously rude lady who works there. It seems like many people who have left a review had experienced the same interaction with her. I patiently waited in line to order food while the lady who worked there kept talking to the customer ahead of me. The customer had paid and was just chatting away. The lady who worked there made eye contact but ignored me and it wasn’t until I said something did she acknowledge me. She asked if I wanted noodles or rice noodles and I asked what’s the difference and all she did was repeated herself as if that’s how you explain the difference or I was the one who doesnt speak English. She said Nooooooodles and wicccce noooooodles” with such attitude and a rude look. As I handed her a $20 she asked if I had a dollar. I looked for change and gave her quarters and dimes and then she said no to the dimes and insisted I give her quarters only. She said that’s the smallest she’ll take… interesting way of dealing with money…. Then she handed me a battery and told me to come back when it beeps. It never beeped and when I went back the noodles was sitting there, unsure if that was mine I waited. She was no where to be seen, then she comes from a beside me and grabs the battery and said the battery is just dead and told me to take the noodles. The noodles at this point was lukewarm. Thanks

In this day and age you would expect decent customer service to be an essential part of any dining experience since there are so many places to eat but I guess it’s not a requirement at Chef Rong.

I will not be returning to this place and do not recommend this place at all. I’m surprised they have stayed open with this kind of service. Truly despicable.

Typical Yunnan-Guizhou flavor, his beef noodles are top-notch. The beef was soft and rotten, 5 big pieces. If you like sourness, there is also beef noodles in sour soup. Her sour soup is not vinegar, it is Guizhou’s unique sour soup. Cheap and good quality, the best noodles in Regent Plaza. Worth recommending.

Dietary restrictions: We ordered a veggie and mushroom wonton noodle soup, but received a pork wonton soup instead. The manager, Nissa, argued with us about our order and did not offer any assistance to resolve the issue. Their attitude was dismissive, showing a lack of concern for customer service and reliability.

I miss the Guizhou flavor very much, but I heard that there is only one Guizhou flavor in Vancouver, so I came here to taste it, but the experience did not meet my expectations. I ordered the fat intestine rice noodles, the fat intestine and dried tofu were both good. But the sour taste of the soup base is not very authentic, more like the taste of Tom Yum Kung base, which is not what I tasted in Guizhou.

The beef noodle soup was a bit salty but overall the taste was okay. The service could definitely use some help though. The person that took our order had an AirPod in one ear and gave us an attitude. He purposely spoke in a way that he didn’t want us to hear him so we had to readily ask what he said to clarify. When we asked a question about the menu, he just tapped on the menu instead of answering us. The entire time he didn’t bother making eye contact with us.

I ordered fat rice rolls with sour soup and fat beef. When they were given to me, they were fat beef with sour soup. The cashier also told me what time it was and it was beef rice rolls with sour soup. Would you not know what you ordered when you eat at this place? This store is quite shameless.
