Food here is always good . Always order take- out as we are primarily shut-ins. Food is always delivered in a timely manner and hot! Beef chow fun is so tasty!
I tried their corn chicken soup yesterday and it was a disappointment since usually their food is really tasty. It tasted like straight canned soup that was warmed up but everything else they have is worth the money. Their servings are really generous and if you go in person their waitress is really nice. Ordering food from them again next time just not the corn chicken soup.
Small restaurant. I ordered fish and chip, rib. Acceptable
I ordered the Spicy Wontons, Hot and Sour Soup, and Chicken Wings through Uber Eats. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The wontons were very salty — not only the sauce, but the filling itself. Even after rinsing them with hot water, the saltiness remained. The Hot and Sour Soup had undissolved chunks of white pepper, and the flavor was dominated by salt with little complexity. The chicken wings were also heavily seasoned. Overall, the dishes seemed to contain too much MSG. This was my first time trying this restaurant, and sadly, it may also be the last.
Incredible restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice and is only beat by the the quality of the food. The service here is nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend stopping by, truly a rare gem.
I had a fantastic dining experience at Deer Lake Wonton Restaurant — this place truly exceeded my expectations! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and attentive. The staff made us feel right at home and were more than happy to offer recommendations.
The food was the real highlight. The wonton soup was absolutely delicious — the broth was rich and flavorful, and the wontons were delicate and packed with fresh, juicy shrimp and pork. We also tried their BBQ pork on rice and stir-fried gai lan, both of which were cooked to perfection. Portions were generous and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh.
The restaurant was clean, cozy, and ideal for casual family meals. Pricing was very reasonable given the quality and quantity of food.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Cantonese comfort food in Burnaby. I’ll definitely be back!

A good place to grab Chinese food in the area. It's authentic and fair priced
Parking: Free parking lot in the mini mall. Not lots of stalls, but it's not busy

New management again and they raised all the prices by 2 dollars and got rid of all the lunch specials/dinners for 1 and the specials with rice which were a good cheaper option for one person. They also got rid of a couple of dishes I liked like the Mapo Tofu (although they had changed the recipe to that one and I didn't like so I guess it's for the best)
Probably still good for large group orders of multiple items and for parties but no longer a good option for a quick lunch for one person sadly. If the recipes didn't change I recommend the Beef Brisket Noodle Soup and their sweet and sour pork.
Really value priced place for lunch

This place used to be good, but I had a different experience today. I ordered seafood and vegetable chow mein, specifying crispy noodles, but the dish arrived with a lot of sauce and soggy noodles. The sauce had soaked into the noodles, and I couldn’t finish them. I’ve had this same dish here a few times before, and it didn’t look like this. It seems like they may have changed management or the chef. The portion was also much smaller than what I had last time. I understand that food costs are rising and don’t mind a smaller portion, but at least maintain the quality and taste.

Food was good. For a small independent restaurant, the place is clean, food is tasty, service was good, and most of all reasonably priced. Another thing to note is that they didn't skimp on food portions. It is a good relief from all the low value, high-priced restaurants out there.
