I raved to my sisters about Earls happy hour. So we decided to celebrate my birthday during happy hour after our movie. There were 12 of us, 7 adults and 5 kids.
Most of the party arrived to our reservation at 4PM. I arrived at 4:10pm. There was a happy birthday card on the table, which I thought was cute.
It was not busy, there were alot empty tables. We kept waving down our server and she finally got our orders at 4:30PM. Two in our party asked to order in the happy hour menu right at 5pm, and the server said “no sorry it’s already 5pm.” We only ordered drinks on the happy hour menu, and wanted just 1 more drink. Most of all our food were from the regular menu. I don't know why Earls would deny happy hour service at 5PM? WHEN ITS ADVERTISED TIL 5PM. We still put in the order on the regular menu anyway.
Our foods came quickly and all the food were really delicious. We were definitely sharing appys and the server and all the other servers can see that. But not even one single side plate? I had to eat off from a napkin. We asked and they gave us 1, til I said we were sharing food and gave us more.
The server missed my food order. I had a feeling she did because when we were ordering, she wasn't really paying attention in the beginning, and she took my order first. By the time my food arrived, everyone was done eating.
We went on with the night. We paid our bills, and we still tipped decent amount. But it wasn't the best experience. I will still go back to EARLS, just not this location anymore. Brentwood has better service 100%.

He checked in at the perfect moments, made great recommendations, and created a really comfortable, easygoing atmosphere for our table. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his service because every interaction felt thoughtful and sincere.
Ivan’s timing, professionalism, and overall attitude stood out immediately. He made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed or interrupted. It’s rare to come across a server who balances being personable and efficient so effortlessly.
A quick shoutout to Junior as well—he supported the service smoothly and politely, helping things run seamlessly in the background.
Overall, Ivan made our visit exceptional. We’d come back just to be served by him again!
