We had a great experience here. This is the first time ordering the cake from here. It came out great and tastes awesome. The girl we met at the front was very helpful, she showed us to find the cake from Instagram. We greatly recommend it. This bakery will be our go-to bakery from now on.

We visited there on Saturday noon and wanted to have some desert over there. we ordered two different pastry item which was not our favourite. In addition, when we were choosing what to order, I notice some insects like banana flies around some of the items in the display, mostly around the ones with fruit inside such as the tart, pie and so on. It was actually considerable not just like a couple!

I ordered a beautiful vanilla sponge cake with raspberry mousse and lemon curd filling. The cake was delicious and loved by everyone! The buttercream frosting was smooth and light, with just the right amount of sweetness that did not overpower the lemon and raspberry fillings. The flowers you can see on the cake were all fresh and looked magnificent. I can’t wait for my next excuse to buy a cake from here.
The customer service is attentive and kind and the pastry chef is master at her craft. Fortuna Bakery is a very special place! North Burnaby is lucky to have them. Thank you Luisa and Loan. :)

The carrot cake here is our favourite we've ever had. We order it every year for my husband's birthday and everyone loves it. The decorating is really simple and pretty and it tastes great. Every time I order it the employees are very helpful and the turnaround is very fast.
I've bought other desserts and pastries here as well and they never disappoint.

Correct me if I’m wrong but has this place has been around since the 80’s? If it has, RESPECT for being able to persevere in North Burnaby! I came here during the Annual Hat’s off Day in summer of 2025. Sausage was on point and so were the rolls. Italian owned and operated. All the best to them in the future!

We normally come here for our deli meats, buns, and baked goods. However, we decided to have them create a custom cake for our son’s second birthday.
They did not disappoint! Just wow! The theme/concept was “Little Blue Truck”. We supplied the truck and some toppers, but they really nailed all the details! They even added some extras including the farm animals to complete the theme!
Friendly service, excellent communication, and timely pick-up. Highly recommend getting your next cake here.

Just bought a Black Forest Cake. I pre ordered and the person taking order was very nice and helpful. Pick up was smooth.
The cake was beautifully decorated and tasty. 7 inch cake that is quite solid. The ingredients were fresh, not too sweet.
The best black forest cake and we keep coming back to order. So yummy.
Still have a lot left over to enjoy with coffee the following day.
